There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Diligent Detective Hope sighs to visitor Aiden she is very busy but could use a distraction. He ushers her out of her office, though she has her doubts what her gala planning partner might have in mind ... - At the square, cleaning JJ finds out Paige was a no show for her shift, He texts her to talk, in an attempt to make things right. Paige is outside the club, chooses to ignore the text, and enters the club in her pretty purple dress. JJ sulks about being ignored, then sends another text. Paige soon walks out with her coffee and reads the text, then sighs and keeps going. JJ feels as blue as the t-shirt he is wearing. However, the son of Jack Devereaux is not one to give up on the girl of his dreams ... - Marlena walks through the park when all of a sudden ... HEY DOC! IT’S BEEN A WHILE!! John the man in black is back with a swagger and a grin. Pause. Marlena primly points out they have nothing to discuss as the divorce is ongoing. He gets it. She asks if he has had a chance to see Brady. He sighs he has indeed. She already knows that his son wants nothing to do with him. It therefore seems there is nothing left for him here in Salem! She goes on her way and his eyes flicker. - At her place, Theresa tickles Brady’s nekid waxed chest with her foot and wishes sunshine a good morning on her couch. He wants to shower. She wants to tempt him with a mimosa. But he wants her to understand something. About last night. She thought they had ... fun. He explains he was not quite himself, then gets a call he must take. - Jen is in bed icing a cut Dan has on his lip from wandering around the basement, going bump in the night. She showers him with sweet kisses and he gushes he is healing. She feels badly about yesterday cos Nicole the engaged supposedly happy one acted so upset. Dan would rather concentrate on them and gets back to kissing his personal nurse. She now probes him why he changed his mind about Nicole and Eric being engaged. He refuses to say more. She hopes history is not repeating itself with Nicole dragging Dan into doing or not doing something. Dan denies it and changes the subject by bringing up Jen’s busy schedule, plus his planned video chat with Parker. They can talk later. She kisses him and gets out of bed, though she cannot shake the feeling that Nicole is making him unhappy again. Dan sighs and sends Nicole a text as Jen steps into the shower. The medicine man wants to know how Eric dealt with her serious news ... - Nicole caresses shirtless Eric's fluffy chest in bed and tries to ignore all thoughts of Dan’s demand that she tell him the truth. The holy man opens his eyes and asks how she is. She admits she should have done something last night and touches his face. He wonders and starts to sit up. She smiles and gleefully puts back her engagement ring, vowing to keep it on forever from this moment on. Then they kiss under the grey sheets. - At the pub, Hope and Aiden discuss their nonexistent venue for the gala. He suggests the Salem Inn cos he has a plan to get them the venue of their dreams. Hope raises an eyebrow and admits she is intrigued The lawyer boasts he now has a bogus email account. Mr. Howell has been invited to session with the most famous domino played in America and it coincidentally coincides with the date of his tournament. He will have to cancel his gala booking at the Salem Inn ballroom. Straight shooter Hope is aghast Aiden has engaged in such underhanded unethical tactics. She would rather cover her ears. Aiden grins he could not have done it without her! - Belligerent Brady asks John what he wants. The man in black - John that is - tells him he is sorry. He did not intend to upset him with the idea of going after Kristen. Brady says it is too late and hangs up on him. Theresa returns and he decides he could use that mimosa after all! - Nicole admires her engagement ring and declares her dreams have come true. This is even better than she could have imagined! Eric kisses her and grins, though he regrets he must deal with the day. She gushes there is tonight. He gets out of bed and heads for the shower. Now alone, Nicole nervously reads Dan's text message. How to get out of such a sensitive situation ...? - Paige appears at Horton house seeking JJ. Mama Jen explains he is not home and hopes things are okay between the two teens. - JJ joins Dan at his place, needing to talk man to man. He messed up with a girl who is a friend and stammers he seeks advice. Dan deduces it concerns Paige. JJ admits he was in a foul mood and she seemed to take it personally. Now she is ignoring his texts. Dan tells him to talk to her face to face, not in a text. JJ agrees but how to find her? Dan can relate... - Nicole touches her ring again, now fully dressed, and decides she will never ever tell Eric the terrible truth. She needs a plan! - Eric visits Marlena at her office for an update on Sami and Ali. Mama Marlena assures him Ali will overcome. She starts to laugh and teases her transparent son this must really be about something else. Eric bids her to sit down and explains he wanted to be the first to let her know ... he proposed to Nicole and they will not be waiting long so she should expect her invitation sooner rather than later! Marlena turns and the smile fades from her face as she does her best to digest the shocking news. - At the sunny town square café, Theresa and Brady toast with their respective mimosas. He has to head to the house before the office but she dangles another drink or another kiss. He wants both and they kiss passionately over the table. Nicole stops and stares. Then she snaps a picture for posterity and gets in touch with Dan. This could do the trick and help her divert the attention of the do-gooder doctor ... - JJ is updating Dan on his disastrous date with Paige, after Theresa bugged him. Dan is sympathetic. JJ admits Paige does not know the details of his history with Theresa. Dan thinks he should explain but JJ is still smarting from Theresa’s insult that the girl does not know what kind of guy he is. Dan wonders what kind of guy he thinks he is and argues if he was as bad as Theresa, he would not be so bothered by her words. He advises him to own up cos he already paid the piper for his transgressions. He is a good guy and good girl Paige will respect him. JJ thanks him. He shakes his hand and Dan sends him on his way. He now gets to his buzzing phone. Tis a message from Nicole to meet him at the club stat. The moralistic medicine man is on the move ...! - Aiden follows Hope back into her office and argues unethical was the only way to beat Howell at his own game, for the sake of the kids. Hope still does not approve of his deceitful methods, the fact that he is actually impersonating the dominos champ! He now gets an email reply from Howell himself, who tells "loser" his trick did not work. Aiden is miffed. Hope funds it funny but Aiden will not admit defeat. - Brady regrets he has to go to work and leave Theresa the terrific kisser. She wants to see him again tonight. He drawls he will call, kisses her again, and wishes her a good day. Then he goes on his downtrodden way. Theresa watches - Paige complains to Jen about JJ being cross and uncommunicative so she walked out on their date. Jen gasps things have been hard for JJ, especially cos he lost his dad. The lad is not always sure who to trust. She suggests she give him time to trust and maybe focus on friends in the meantime, Paige shyly thanks her for the tea. Jen adds JJ’s reluctance to open up is no reflection on her. Exit Paige. Much to her surprise, she runs into JJ outside the front door and admits she was hoping to see him. He invites her for a walk and talk. She accepts and they stroll off together with stars in their eyes. - Eric wants Marlena to say something. She had realized he had feelings for Nicole but thinks he is rushing. Eric disagrees and will not let her say anything negative. She must accept Nicole! Marlena patiently points out her concern is HIM. One year ago, he felt he had found his calling. Now he is abandoning ... He snaps he did not turn his back on the Church. She understands and hopes for his happiness but urges him to take more time, to be positive his service to God is really over ... - Nicole sips her beverage at the club and thanks Dan and his cut lip for coming. He grumbles he fell and wonders what she wanted to show him. She holds up the photo of Brady with Theresa the enabler. Dan does not approve either but would rather discuss her and Eric. How did he take her news? Pause. He gasps she did not tell him! She admits she did not. Dan is sympathetic she is scared. Still she has to tell him! She whispers they made love. Dan sighs she has only made it worse. Eric needs to know the truth! Nicole now accuses him of trying to ruin her happiness. He snaps he is not the one to blame and refuses to turn a blind eye. She implores him to let it go if he cares, lamenting it would be pure punishment! - Sitting stressed Brady stares at the booze at the house of Kiraikis and bites his lip. Then he stands up. Ominous music plays as he starts to go upstairs. Ding dong! He opens the front door to John, who is sorry how they left things. He wants to look him in the eye and tell him ... Brady slurs to stop and John frowns he has been drinking this morning! Brady shakes his angry head and rages to read his lips. When he boozes it up is his business! He scoffs at his bad dad to show how much he cares by leaving him alone. Then he slams the door in a huff. John is at a loss. Belligerent Brady impulsively texts Theresa he will see her later. She gets his text and is pleased. - Eric breathes he still knows not why God did not allow him to be exonerated, his name cleared in public opinion. Perhaps it is His will that he should be with Nicole. Marlena is still not smiling. - JJ settles on a park bench with pretty Paige and tells the tale of seeing Theresa the terrible (though he does not state her name) .It made him feel he was not good enough for Paige the good. She suggests that he let her decide. They hold hands and she assures him he can confide in her about all that matters. She does not want superficial. Neither does he. They share a tender kiss. Theresa comes upon the sweet scene and stops in her wicked tracks ... - Hope suggests another venue but Aden will not give up. She teases he is stubborn. He grins he is determined. She warns him against staging a revolution without checking with her. He chuckles and returns to his own work. Hope appreciated the distraction. Enter cousin Jen with a coffee distraction. But first she asks for an update on Nick’s death. Hope is determined to crack the case. Jen sits and sighs she will indeed. Hope senses something is amiss. Jen does not want to bother her. Hope insists. Jen complains about Nicole somehow upsetting Dan, though he refuses to share. Hope is surprised to learn that Jen considers Nicole a pal. Jen shares how Nicole tried to clear Eric’s name with Dan, which is when they all got chummy. Still, she cannot shake the sinking feeling that Nicole has once more drawn Dan into her tangled web ... - As Eric saunters through the club door, Dan quietly warns Nicole if she does not tell Eric, he shall! They stop and soap stare at the fallen father, who spies them across the room ... THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Nicole is desperate. Eric's news gets a bad Sami reaction! |
