She jokes she is not looking forward to hearing Madison and Brady drone on at their impending business meeting. Ian claims he wants Madison to be happy but Kate notes he is rarely so magnanimous. He insists Kate is his new love and makes him a kinder gentler, man. They kiss. - Madison joins shirtless Brady at the Kiriakis mansion. She is concerned whether he is really ready to work, given that his dad just died. Brady wants to make an announcement. Just then Kate and Ian arrive, having been let in by Henderson. Ian drawls Brady is flexing his muscles and wonders if he is up for the meeting. Indeed, for he intends to make his father's business a resounding success. Ian is sorry for his loss. Madison and Kate are ready to meet the fashion magazine editor who will promote the joint Mad World/Basic Black venture. Brady is drinking his protein drink. He goes off to take a shower. Kate and Madison decide to head back to Mad's place to pick up printouts. Ian is left alone with Brady's drink. The opportunity is not lost on him. He steps out to get something, then returns with a packet of drugs, which he drops into lover boy's drink. Brady soon comes back fully dressed, talking on the phone. Ian conceals himself and watches as he drinks up. - Nicole is reading a book on pregnancy in her room when EJ comes to her door. He is charmingly bearing a treat. She will give him five minutes. He wishes to talk about the baby now that Rafe is gone. Nicole replies Rafe's death does not change anything. She continues to deny she is carrying EJ's child. EJ humors her. He had thought that regardless ... She exclaims she wants nothing to do with him. EJ blinks. The baby still needs a fatha. Nicole begs to differ. She recalls how her own father was sick, doubts it, and shows him to the door. EJ reminds her the charade will be over as soon as they can have the paternity test. He smiles. She will not give him a chance and points out he turned her down before when she offered him a fresh start. She is done listening to him! EJ shuts the door and points out she had only issued him an ultimatum. She wants him to leave, believing his promises mean nothing. She cries to stop doing this, her hormones raging, and begs him to let her go. He has hurt her enough and she wants to find someone who will not be like that. EJ steps forward and admits he hurt her, but no one loves her like he does. They can still be a family as they share a child. She throws open the door and snaps she wants nothing to do with him ever again. Pause. EJ stands up, calmly reminds her the child will connect them whether she likes it or not, and arrogantly departs. - Rafe joins John, Bo, and Hope downstairs at the safe house.Bo updates him on the Russian mobster in town. He is a dangerous arms dealer. Rafe wonders if they can bust Stefano for setting something up with him. John drawls they are gonna bust him in the act and live happily ever after. The gang sip coffee. Hope is relieved Stefano assumes they are all dead.John is pleased what they are planning will provide an airtight case against the phoenix. Shane now calls Bo with an update. Bo relays that the Russian mobster is refusing to meet with them. So much for the plan! John offers to call in a favor. He saved someone's life once who can put in a good word for him. He gets in touch with his contact. Shortly thereafter, Bo gets word that the Russian has agreed to meet with them in an hour. The deal is on! He suggests Hope not go. She, however, will not back down as she too wants to end Stefano's reign of terror. Bo jokes the Russian does not know what he is up against. - At Sami's new apartment, a family meeting continues. Will stammers this is not how he planned to tell his parents but it is indeed true. He is gay. They are stunned into silence. He implores them to say something. Sami is in denial. "Why would you say that you're gay?" Because he is. She states he is not, for she did not know anything about it. Will notes that is because she only cares about herself. She snaps it is a crazy idea and suggests he is confused. Lucas chides her. Their son is not confused and he wants her to listen to him. "Come on!" snaps the protective father. Will thanks him for his support. Lucas wonders how long he has known. A long time, deep down, then he struggled before he came to accept he is gay. Lucas admits he did not see it coming. Will chuckles he was far away in China, so he would not expect him to. However, his mom was here, though mentally checked out of his life, like usual. Lucas suggests they talk about this as a family. Will asks what Sami would like to say. She gasps she cannot do this and takes off, ignoring Lucas' calls to come back. - Sami stumbles through the town square, her hand on her mouth, and bumps into EJ. She cannot deal with him right now. He stops her. She is upset that he blackmailed her son, who already had plenty to deal with. Like what? Issues. EJ deduces he has come out to her. Sami gasps he told him? EJ explains he did not have to. He cannot believe she had no idea, for she is his mother. She cries it is true, she had no idea. "What is wrong with me?" - Meanwhile, Lucas tries to console Will, who is upset his mom took off. The young man now asks his father what he thinks. Lucas repeats it is a shock. Will woefully wonders if he is disappointed. Lucas admits he is rather disappointed. Not in him, but for him. The world is not an easy place in which to be gay. He notes it was not Will's choice. Will agrees. In fact, he had been trying to fight it. Lucas is sorry he felt alone. Will explains this is who he is. Lucas is glad for him, but he is worried about him. He has heard about hate crimes and seen the news. Will assures him he can handle such things. Lucas wants him to be happy, find someone special. Will grins he can do that. He just wants to focus on the people he loves for the moment. However, given his mom's reaction, he is not sure how many he will have left ... - Nicole is alone outside the pub, when Brady comes around the corner. He asks about her bambino. Nicole complains about EJ bothering her again. Brady is flying as high as a kite and offers to break his face. She wonders if he has been drinking. Nope, and he has a meeting with a blowhard fashion editor. He will have a few after. Brady is about to enter the pub to meet his party but Nicole thinks he is in no shape for a meeting and holds him back. - Sami sits at a table in the town square café with EJ and proceeds to confide in him ...
