Sinister Stefano enjoys the show of Marlena struggling like her life depends on it at the castle. In his mind, the ending has already been written ... Bearded Ben greets his girl at the park, having just aced his exam. Abigail pouts about the new last name that showed up when she heard from him, which happens to be Weston ... Will nervously returns to the diner with mountain man Jeremiah. He notes he has enough to write now that he has shown him around the tiny town. Jeremiah grunts to get the real story cos that Clyde used to be a drunk SOB who hurt his kids and other folks. Will gets flustered about including the part about his past. Jeremiah wants the past included, tells him to talk to people, and exits. Will glances at Sonny and Ari's photo on his phone and whispers he cannot do that, there is too much at risk ... Serena sweetly states she had an appointment with Zander, unlike Nicole ... At the apartment, Dr. Dan updates Mel on the bone marrow transplant being a success.He is headed to the hospital and wants her to come with. Mel woefully wonders whether she would be welcomed as the new parents had asked family and friends for space. Dan insists she is MORE than that and hopes she will drop by for at least a few minutes. Mel mulls it over ... Theresa's eyes flutter open in her hospital bed. Brady is seated by her bed, the baby bassinet nearby with sleeping baby. Brady has high praise for her saving their son. Theresa makes light of how she helped another human being without wanting money. T'was a first ... She loves their son. Brady sighs he would do anything for him. She now asks him to stay ... Stefano thunders at his men to do it. Marlena cries out Noooooooooo... Roman shows up at DiMera mansion with a search warrant. Abe accompanies him. Chad steps away and makes an emergency call that Stefano impatiently picks up. Marlena screams he is trying to kill her. The men silence her and Chad demands answers. Father phoenix fibs it was the TV, which has been muted. Chad knows better and urges him not to do it or else he will denounce him. He accuses him of destroying the DiMera name. Stefano snaps Kristen was killed and refuses to listen. It is about family! Chad argues Kristen was wrong and crazy when she kidnapped Brady's baby away from HIS family. He warns he is the last sibling standing and threatens to turn his back on his father ... Nicole claims to be wanting a word with Zan regarding the Brady story. Serena scoffs.When she is questioned on her reason for being there, she lies Zander wished to discuss an article. Zan ushers her out the door. He lets Nicole know he is surprised to see her at his room and he hates surprises ... Brady pops out to the nurse's station to check on the status of their little man. He runs into Dan and hopes Mel knows she is welcome to visit. Enter Mel. Brady gives her a hearty hug ... Ben wonders why Abigail is acting like it is a big deal he wants to use his family name again. It's not like being a Weston is anything like being a DiMera ... Brady insists Mel stay and takes her into Theresa's room. Theresa purrs how happy she is to have her here ... Serena has been summoned to Dan's office and asks if it is about Mel. Then Eric. Negative. When the medicine man mentions Zander, she gets suddenly tight lipped. Dan seeks clarification on why she acted like she and Zander were close. She claims he used to be closer to Eric in Africa and admits she has issues with him. Dan probes what the issues are, concerned. He alludes to Zander having an imperfect past ... In Zan's hotel room, Nicole finds out from Zander that he and Serena have an understanding about discretion ... He now tells her he saw her with Daniel and sensed their connection so GOODBYE. Nicole gets indignant cos he had acted so fun and complains about her and Daniel not being able to agree despite their attraction. She convinces him she is interested in fun, discreetly, and he invites her to stay for some champagne. Nicole notices his phone nearby as he orders room service ... Stefano sighs it seems Marlena is on vacation. He assures Chad her family will hear from her soon and hangs up. Chad admits to anxious Abe and Roman he cannot guarantee what his volatile father is going to do next. Chad needs some fresh air ... Theresa sweetly greets Mel and tells her that she and Brady would have named the baby Mel but he is a boy. So they settled on Tate, which means cheerful and happiness. She brought the happiness that is him to their lives. Brady grins. Mel is touched but a tad uneasy, feeling like a fifth wheel ... Abigail is anxious as she remembers Chad. Ben wonders why the about-face about him taking his father's name. She suggests they speak later so he storms off ... Stefano issues his final order ... He tells his men to let her go ... Back at the diner, Will works his phone, determined to make the last flight out of Poplar Bluff tonight. Jeremiah is listening ... Abigail ends a message promising to be home soon and then spies Chad. He gets closer. Her eyes are filled with torment. His too ... Marlena calls Roman from the plane and calmly states she is alright. Before the conversation can continue, Stefano snatches back the phone, ready for takeoff. Marlena acts as if nothing ever happened back at the castle. She is relieved he did the right thing ... Brady walks Mel to the elevator and hugs her again, looking forward to spending time alone with her soon. When she leaves, he admires the diamond ring he plans to present her with ... Nicole flirts with Zan to pose for a picture for the phone so she can see it when he messages her. He does and she fakes an ankle sprain. He steps out for ice and she starts snooping on his phone, wondering what she might find ... Stefano growls the rrrrrrrright thing would have been to leave her corpse for the coyotes. He only spared her for his son. She owes her life to Chad ... Abigail gasps about Chad's upset. He woefully tells the girl of his dreams she deserves better than him, tenderly touches her face and goes. Abigail's face is flushed. Ben, who had returned to make things right, stares, having witnessed the moment ... New mom Theresa cradles little Tate in her arms and promises her son they will not spend a single night away from his daddy ... Serena refuses to discuss Zander despite Dan's persistence. She gasps to grill Nicole cos she is with him as they speak ... Nicole now notices a familiar photo on Zan's phone - of the elephant Serena so desperately wanted. Tis the missing link! THE END |
