There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Dan ponders the Chyka document in his possession at his place as he remembers Nicole mentioning important information, always stopping short of sharing. He curses why oh why! His phone rings and it is none other than Nicole. He declines the call and covers his unhappy head with his hands, taking a tormented breath. His attention is diverted by the arrival of the fair Jen, who grabs him in a sobbing hug like a lost child. He wonders what is wrong. - At the pub, Nicole wonders why Dan did not answer. No matter. She is over the moon about her happy news! Marlena appears and Nicole keeps smiling. - At Horton house, Abigail angrily denies to JJ that she and Nick were close and snaps now he is dead! She apologizes for overreacting. JJ notes she was crying a lot last night and he assumed they were close, her and cousin Nick. Abigail gasps he was not the guy she thought he was. JJ wants to know what went down. Abigail flashes back to him taunting her for being EJ’s HO. But she makes no mention of that fact. All she shares is how Nick tricked her into giving him the name of a good lawyer to steal Ari from Will. He used her! JJ agrees it was low and deduces she hates him. She insists did not want to watch him die. JJ adds it is too late and one can feel so guilty when someone dies - they are no strangers to the feeling. Abigail stares out the window. JJ insists she tell him what she is withholding. Little brother senses a very big secret ... - Brunette Sami is agitated with EJ on the phone as he left to attend to some business. They murdered Nick last night and she needs him to come home! This guilt is getting to her! Pause. Sami now realizes Eric is standing in the doorway peering at her. She stares in silence, not sure how much he was privy to. She grabs him in a bear hug, crying over her guilt. The former priest is perplexed. She stammers she did not mean it to happen. He does not understand. Sami updates him on Nick dying but nothing else. Eric still does not get her guilt, if she was not involved. Sami the survivor realizes she has to think fast ... - At the hospital, HR queen Anne sarcastically greets the unofficial lady of lateness, Theresa the terrible. She gets catty about the pro-Horton hospital mourning Nick Fallon. Theresa quips the silver lining is people will forget about Liam the loon. Anne informs her Detective Hope was there to wrap up the case and wanted to know if Dan's key had been duplicated. She assures the jumpy girl she did not let on. Theresa is relieved. She purrs she wants to focus on her future ... - Brady approaches mourning Maggie at the mansion. They embrace. She sits and tells the tale of Nick, how he got into pills and changed and could not cope afterwards. Brady feels we all need help at times. Maggie decides to get to another AA meeting and invites Brady to accompany her. He sighs. The meetings with the AA gang are not for him. Maggie argues Nick would have been different had he attended. Brady gets a call and offers her a ride. She smiles to be safe. Then he hugs her again and goes on his way. Maggie looks at a photo of the late Nick on her phone and breaks down. - Daniel is dumbfounded that Nick is dead. Jen laments it was murder! Hope intends to investigate and there are no clues or leads. It could have been an enemy from prison. Poor Abigail was present when Nick fell down and died, as were others. Dan assures her he is here if she needs anything and is deeply sorry. He admits he did not exactly care for the guy, given he abducted Mel once upon a time. Jen notes there were many others who were wronged by Nick, it seems. - Nicole asks if Marlena has spoken with Eric, assuming he announced their engagement news as intended. But Marlena slept in today, seems to have missed all her messages, and informs curious Nicole she has not spoken with Eric yet. She sits with her anyway and proceeds to probe her about Smith Island, what she was really doing there. Nicole blinks. - Theresa insists to Anne that she will bring billionaire heir Brady back to her bed! - JJ promises not to judge his secretive sister. She turns away in shame. He urges her to trust in him. She gasps again. Ding dong! JJ opens the front door to pretty Paige, who has come to offer her condolences over late cousin Nick. Abigail thanks her and declares it is over. One cannot turn back the clock and a fact is a fact. Someone murdered Nick! She stares strangely into space ... - Sami complains to brother Eric that Ally actually bore witness to shot Nick's collapse. Eric still does not get why Sami feels so guilty. Sami steps away to take a call from Lucas. She asks for an update on Ally. Eric slowly takes out his own phone. - Jen thanks God that Dan is alright. She is still highly stressed over what happened on Smith island. They were so lucky! Dan drawls them being together feels like a prize. They exchange I love yous. She wonders what the issues he mentioned earlier were. He will only say he will try and work things out ... The Chyka document is not far away. - Nicole slyly removes her engagement ring under the table and accuses sickeningly sweet Marlena of not believing her again. What is it this time! Marlena patiently points out she was not accusing her. Nicole thinks now that Kristen is gone, she is trying to pin all evil on her! Marlena notes Nicole is suspiciously defensive and it makes her wonder why. Ring ring! Nicole says hello to handsome, who is with sister Sami. He is desperately seeking his mother. Nicole sweetly hands Marlena the phone. Eric gasps Sami needs her now! - Dan now visits mama Maggie at the huge house of Kiriakis. He drawls he would have gone back to the hospital had he known Nick was there. Maggie pouts he was not Dan's clan. The medicine man is concerned about his mother. She gets choked up and gasps she is trying not to think of how she let Nick down. Never mind the grand house and servants, she should have given him more emotional support. Now it is too late and she must live with what happened forever. She collapses on her son's strong shoulder with a sob. - Marlena arrives to see Sami at the mansion and asks about Ally. Sami stammers it is tough and she has worries. Marlena assures her the girl is young. She has the name of a good child psychiatrist. Sami calls it the worst thing in the world to see your child live through something so traumatic. Marlena gives her a knowing look and agrees. - Back at Horton house, Jen tries to reach distant Abigail, who is sitting alone in an armchair. Abigail admits even though Nick was family and died young, she has decided to hold back all her tears cos he was a BASTARD! - At the sunny park, Nicole walks around the yellow police tape which extends around two benches. That is where she meets Eric, who exclaims Nick was shot to death last night. Nicole soap stares. She reads about it from the internet on her phone. Just as well she did not tell Marlena their news. Eric agrees. Nicole adds at least Jen knows of their engagement, Now there is one more good friend to tell! - Back at DiMera mansion, stressed Sami updates Marlena on everything that happened and Marlena gives her the shrink's card for Ally. She now suggests Sami too could use a professional, someone to be honest with. Sami gets defensive. Does she mean she is not being honest now?! Marlena takes it all in. - Maggie asks about Parker. Dan boasts his boy he is doing fine. Maggie whimpers she almost lost her son Daniel on Smith Island. He grins he is here to stay and hugs his mother. - Jen agrees it is just awful that Nick used Abigail to get a lawyer to cause custody trouble for Will and Sonny . Abigail gasps she is angry. He went and got obsessed with Gabi the way he did with Melanie. He should never have come back from New York and she does not care if she sounds like a beech for saying it! - JJ walks and talks with Paige at the park. He notes Nick was bizarre, though he is not one to talk. The Hortons are such stellar people, unlike him. Paige tenderly touches his face and he gazes at her. - Theresa is touched to discover that Brady followed her text and is here at her club table. He wants to talk Nick. She acts sympathetic. But she wants to talk about them. Now that Dan and Jen are good ... She was clearly not the stalker, it was Liam. Does that mean they can get back to the way they were? She confesses she could have done a better job of forewarning Daniel but still what about them? She winks and orders two bloody Marys. Brady scoffs. He has a different perspective now and is not in the same place as her. He wants to see what happens is all, take it sloooooooow. Theresa purrs they are not done and drinks up. He holds his bloody Mary but pauses ... - Marlena warns Sami she could be haunted by this. Sami does not deny it and admits she does have her fair share of torment. Marlena wants her to confide in someone, so why not confide in her? Sami’s baby blues are filled with the tears of a torn woman. She suggests tea instead and leaves to make them some. Meanwhile Marlena checks her phone, wondering why she missed so many texts and messages. The name of one sender makes her gasp in dismay. - Maggie updates Dan on the drama of Nick almost pointing at his killer, as per Julie the drama queen. He managed to make many enemies despite his best efforts. Some people make bad choices! Dan grumbles some even lie to their friends. Maggie decides to call Melanie so the medicine man reminds her he is here and exits after another I love you and family hug. Outside the front door, he texts Nicole. Her time has come! - Nicole notes Dan is such a staunch supporter and good friend, she cannot wait to tell him her good news. Eric agrees Nicole should tell him and goes to show his support for Maggie, who must be in mourning. They exchange I love yous and kiss. Nicole gushes they are going to live happily ever after. As it turns out, Daniel has just texted her too and is expecting her at his apartment. She has no idea what she is really walking into ... - JJ is surprised when Paige mentions him meeting her mom one day. He admits he was embarrassed about his own pushy mother. Paige gushes his mother is beautiful. He gushes Paige is beautiful on the outside as well as hot and beautiful on the inside. They kiss in their youthful bliss. - Abigail stands up and sighs she is a bad person. Jen assures her that is not the case. Naturally she did not mean to say that Nick deserved to die. Abigail stares strangely out the window, wondering what comes next. Jen insists the perpetrator of the crime will be caught and brought to justice! Abigail freezes. - Marlena listens in sheer horror to the heartfelt message Nick left her, seeking help. Sami appears carrying a tray, hears Nick's voice, and drops it. It falls to the floor with a loud crash. - Eric the helpful ex holy man assures Maggie she need only call if she needs anything. She smiles from now on, she will focus on the positive and good. It is a blessing that Dan and Jen and Nicole came home safe and sound. She asks about Eric and Nicole. He is happier than he ever imagined he could be and it is all thanks to Nicole ... - Dan shuts his Chyka file and opens his apartment door to Nicole with a grimace. She smiles she has news that simply cannot wait. He shuts the door, gives her in icy stare, and snaps she is right, this cannot wait! And so Nicole's hopes of a happily ever after are about to go to hell ... THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Dan has it out with Nicole. The Sonny gun story continues ... |
