At the pub Brady is on the phone with Victor, updating him on his plan to get Eve drunk and get married to regain what is theirs. The jet is waiting ... Outside dark Doug's Place Eric and Jen greet Steve and Kayla, who arrive for Hope’s wedding. They are sorry about Steve’s situation and even sorrier about the non wedding ... Rafe leaves Hope a desperate message to call him as she looks at her ring in her office ... Gabi cries cos Eli cheated. He admits what happened at Hope’s wedding made him want to confess. She demands the name of the other woman. Lani ... At the square Lani laments to JJ that Hope was so hurt. She wishes her and Rafe to work things out. JJ feels a fiance cheating and lying is the worst cos then the trust is gone. Lani gets upset and clutches her stomach ... Gabi wants to know when. She is horrified to hear the affair was Christmas Eve. She assumes it was about revenge as Lani saw her hugging JJ and they both jumped to the wrong conclusion. Eli insists he wanted to confess. She accuses him of lying for a long time ... Lani tells JJ it was merely a twinge. It happens. JJ escorts her home from the stressful day. He also heard from Gabi that she and Val had a run-in earlier. When asked about it Lani almost collapses, once more clutching her sensitive stomach ... Brady lies he was on a biz call and brings him and Eve their drinks. She wishes the alcoholic would stop drinking as she worries. She states things have changed between them but then again maybe not ... Kayla asks about Hope. Jen is still trying to get hold of her and excuses herself. Eric sighs and stands by Steve ... Rafe heads to the loft asking Ciara for Hope’s whereabouts. She texted her mom who did not reply and knows not her location. She assures Rafe that Claire is gone and asks him to stay awhile. Rafe does not believe Claire alone is to blame. Ciara apologizes and sighs she too was at fault ... Jen finds Hope all alone in her office. She sighs she walked away from Rafe at the square. But they did talk ... JJ sits by Lani and assures her the ambulance is on its way. Steve and Dr. Kayla come by. Kayla promises they will take care of her and tells crying Lani to concentrate on her breathing ... Rafe reasons he alone is responsible. Ciara updates him on how the secret spread and wishes she had kept her silence. Rafe regrets swearing her to silence and not telling Hope himself. Ciara gets he loves Hope and wanted to protect her. She too will see the light. Rafe laments not likely ... Hope feels like a fool. Jen assures her that she does have Rafe’s heart. It was the bad karma of Sami! She reminds Hope that night she had told Rafe it was over. Hope insists they are still over ... Gabi gets mad about Eli lying about Lani’s earring too and tells him off. Eli explains they wanted to protect their partners from the potential pain. Gabi suddenly gasps is he also the father of Lani’s baby? Eli looks guilty as soap sin ... Brady cares about Eve and she returns the sentiment, hence her concern over his drinking. He claims he has it under control but for now she should be less judgmental unless it worsens. He loves that they are a blissfully flawed couple and encourages to drink up and have some fun. She knows not he wants to make her drunk enough to marry him tonight ... Eli informs Gabi that according to Lani, she was already with child when they were together, she just did not know. Gabi still cannot rule it out. Eli emphasizes it is not his child and points out JJ and Lani were broken up Christmas Eve. He begs Gabi for another chance and offers to be her rock in regards to the murder charge ... Dapper Steve sits with JJ as they wait for word at the hospital. JJ asks about his sight and is sorry to hear it does not look good. JJ thanks him for his support. Steve was Jack’s brother and lets JJ know he is here for him always. JJ appreciates it. Kayla emerges and JJ asks for an update on his pregnant fiancée ... Back at the pub Brady proposes a toast to them. Eve giggles and goes to powder her nose. Eric arrives and begs him to stop boozing when Brady orders another round. He suggests a meeting. Eve returns and assures him she will not let his brother behind the wheel. Brady says to scram so he does ... JJ accompanies Kayla to Lani’s room. All seems fine though the doctor ordered additional tests and is keeping the patient overnight as a precaution. When she leaves them alone Lani weeps to JJ she cannot lose this life inside her. JJ names their baby Jack III or Jacqueline as melancholy music plays. He tells Lani to rest. He will be here for them. Always ,,, Rafe stares into space. Ciara offers to speak to Hope on his behalf. Then they will be able to wed. Rafe wants the girl to know ... Jen urges Hope to consider her and Rafe’s love before she throws it away. Hope accuses Rafe of already doing that. She wishes she knew before she married him and now updates cousin Jen that they were wed last night ... Ciara is elated that Rafe and Hope are husband and wife. She believes they will be able to work it out for they belong together ... Hope updates Jen on the cozy cabin wedding. Jen feels she deserves better but now must deal with Rafe’s one mistake when he thought he had lost her. She defends him as one of the good guys though she will support her cousin. Hope appreciates it and now wants time alone to think. They hug and Jen tells her to text when she gets home ... Eli begs Gabi to give him another chance and swears he will never cheat again. But she is bitter that it was with Lani, the one JJ cheated with when they were together. It feels like a bad history for her and she wonders why she should not break up with him the way she did with JJ. He lets her know she is his life. He would be lost without her love and urges her to believe he loves her. She does and is ready to work things out but no more secrets, no more lies. Ever. Eli replies he has shared everything with her. She accepts that and excuses herself for the night as she needs time to consider. He gasps he loves her as she shuts the door behind herself. Then he calls Lani and leaves her a message that he told Gabi about their affair. However he did not admit it was his baby. He wanted to do the right thing for them all ... JJ sleeps by Lani in her room. Outside the room Steve sadly states to Kayla he will not be able to drive or do his job well without his sight. He could not bear to be a burden. She smiles they will find a way to make it work together. He will never be alone! They embrace and he whispers he loves her ... Brady orders another drink for Eve at the pub and drawls they should take their party on the road perhaps to Vegas, He can fuel up the Kiriakis jet. Eve drinks to that ... Jen catches up to Eric at the square and sadly states Hope might never forgive Rafe. Meanwhile Rafe woefully holds his ring and remembers promising his bride a lifetime of love and respect. Hope remembers as well and weeps, removing her ring, sitting alone in her office. Still. STAY TUNED! |
