Claire cries out to bride Hope that Rafe the almost husband cheated. The guests have all overheard. Alas Ciara could not stop her. Hope looks at Rafe for an answer. Gabi disagrees. Doug asks Claire what she means so Ciara lies she lied! Claire is sorry to say it is very true. Tripp wants her to take the bombshell back too. Julie wants to believe she is wrong. Claire now makes it worse by revealing the other woman was Sami. Hope is humiliated into a stunned silence. Ciara insists it is not true so Claire offers to play her recording. Rafe sighs not necessary and sadly confesses to Hope he lacked the courage, hence his silence. What Claire claims is indeed true. Hope smacks him hard and sniffles. He is sorry and she hits him with her bouquet as well, storming off. Rafe removes the fallen petals from his suit and quietly goes after his pantsuit bride ... Claire is sorry. Doug does damage control as Eric stops Jen from calling Hope, who clearly wanted to be alone. Doug apologizes and announces the wedding is off. Eli tells Julie how sorry he is but then she blasts Gabi for her criminal family and calls her a killer. Doug ushers his wife, ever so sorry, away as Julie rages on. Eli escorts his girl out. JJ sighs to Lani what a disaster. Meanwhile Rafe follows Hope to the park. She refuses to listen to any explanation and gasps she is heartbroken. Back at the club Jen cleans up with Eric and cannot comprehend why Rafe slept with Sami! Hope’s trust has been shattered. Eric thinks Rafe should have told Hope. Jen gets upset about her cousin’s humiliation as Eric loosens his tie. Jenny wonders why Rafe did it. She now also blames Sami. Eric asks her not to go there. Jen rages at Sami the life destroyer. Eric softly reminds her she also happens to be his sister ... In the office Doug hands Julie a much needed drink as she grieves for Hope. She now blasts Doug for apologizing to Gabi for her words. Doug snaps to stop it and takes a drink ... Eli returns to his room with Gabi, who does not get how Rafe the good guy could cheat. Eli admits it sometimes happens and admits Rafe already told him the secret. Gabi is aghast ... Rafe grovels he is so sorry for breaking Hope’s heart and reasons that was his reason for not telling her. She calls herself a fool and assumes it was in Memphis. Rafe shakes his head. It happened the night of their big fight when she cancelled their engagement. Then he saw Sami, who was also a mess. He walked her back to her hotel and things happened. Hope concludes he wanted it to happen. He mutters it was a huge mistake. Hope asks if he was drinking that night. He states he did but he was sober and sad. Hope thinks he threw their love away after their little rough patch. He explains he thought they were really over. She screams and feels like a fool, crying she ignored all the signs and believed him. She deduces he was hiding in Sami’s room when she went there to talk about him. He was and adds Sami told him to try again so he did. Hope cries about the hold his ex still has on him. He whispers he wanted to tell her about the affair. She wonders how Ciara even knew. He states Ciara overheard him and Sami speaking of it. Hope now screams this was why Ciara was upset with him. He does not deny it. She cannot believe he had her own daughter lie to her ... At the loft Claire tries to call for a flight to Cape Town. Ciara interrupts with Tripp at her side and accuses her of wanting attention ... JJ walks with Lani at the square. They both have Rafe on their mind. They both have made mistakes. JJ thinks his are the worst. Lani thinks not. JJ decides these things can happen. Lani is visibly relieved ... Gabi wants to know why Rafe told Eli his secret. Eli points out they are partners and the guy was a mess about his mistake. It does not mean he loves Hope less and he wonders whether Gabi gets it. Such is his guy perspective ... Eric suspects Sami was impulsive again. Jen lists her past transgressions, including how she went after Abigail. Eric exclaims the love of her life cheated on her back then. Jen quips she did the same to others. Eric points out that Sami protected Rafe by keeping it quiet. It was when Sami was stressed about Will not remembering her. Jen reasons Will was alive and blasts his sister for being warped. Eric thunders maybe he too is warped. They almost break up over it and then realize they just had their first fight as a couple ... Claire thinks Theo would be appalled. Ciara screams Claire lied about her phone recording. She calls her a beech and smacks her to the sofa. Tripp is at Claire’s side in an instant ... Rafe tries to give his side of the story. Hope reminds him of all the times she told him she believed in him. How dare he betray her like this! Jen decides she does not wish to fight with Eric. He feels the same way. She apologizes as he tries to make her feel better. He assures her she will get her chance to help Hope and gushes Hope is lucky to have her. Jen admits she was looking for a scapegoat and is sorry she insulted Sami. Eric is sorry he was too defensive about his twin and concludes now they can kiss and make up. Jen smiles and blushes. And then he kisses her ... Gabi understands but doubts Hope will as she and Rafe are already married. She asks Eli what he advised Rafe when he told him the secret. Eli explains he did not encourage him to come clean. Gabi wonders why not. Eli emotionally states when you love someone you want to spare them of that kind of hurt. Gabi wonders whether he is still referring to Rafe or ... JJ assures Lani he is a different guy now thanks to her. She smiles how sweet. He promises to be the perfect papa and one woman man forever. Lani looks away ... Eli admits he is now speaking of himself. Gabi wonders what he means exactly. He confesses he cheated too ... Tripp helps Claire up and blasts Ciara for the smack. Time for a truce but mad Ciara makes a declaration of war ... Julie is rather relieved Hope now knows about Rafe. Doug drinks to the fact that at least they were not already married ... Rafe implores Hope to remember all they have overcome. He notes they are now married. Hope notes they are no more. She walks away as the fallen Romeo breaks down ... STAY TUNED! |
