At the square Lani sits on a bench apologizing to her unborn baby. Papa Abe arrives as she asked him to come ... Jen meets JJ at the station and is stunned by his news that Eli is the father of Lani’s baby. Meanwhile as they lunch at the club, Eli updates Val on the truth coming out. She believes it is best. He sighs not for Gabi ... Chad greets Gabi, who is clad in a stylish blue dress at the courthouse. He assures her Abigail is on her way and on her side ... At DiMera mansion Abigail wants a word with Stefan. He asks whether she is Gabi or Dr. Laura as ominous music plays ... Eli informs Val he does not blame JJ for hitting him but because he lied to Gabi, who has now shut him out. He laments he loves her and was supposed to be there for her today ... Chad updates Gabi on his Hong Kong trip and his close call with the mystery woman at Stefan’s door, how Stefan set him up. Gabi cannot believe it and is furious at that mystery woman ... Abigail calmly asks who Chad wants her to be and puts on the Dr. Laura glasses. She states how stressed he made Abigail, which was why she had to take over. Stefan will always keep Abigail safe. She reminds him that the alters exist to spare Abigail from the knowledge that she killed Andre. She warns him fake Gabi will not be back and she has to stay a while to help keep the secret from Abigail. The murder triggered the split personality. Stefan is sorry. However, he also wants to have the chance to apologize to fake Gabi and produces the dark wig of the woman he really wants ... Abe is astounded to hear that Lani’s baby daddy is Eli. She tells him the sad tale of JJ planning to take his life, how it led to a misunderstanding that led to a one night stand. Abe tells his daughter he is the one to blame for being so hard on JJ about Theo ... Jen does not want to believe it. JJ laments Lani even lied about the due date. Mama Jen is ever so sorry. Now what? He sadly states she made a fool of him and he will never trust her again ... Val assures Eli that the truth will be healthier for all parties involved. She points out he will be a wonderful father. Eli looks glum ... Chad assures Gabi they will get the goods on Stefan and make him pay. She thinks he sounds even worse than Stefano. Chad promises they will get that mystery woman ... Stefan reminds Dr. Laura that his time with fake Gabi was over so fast. She informs him real Abigail takes the stand today though it will really be her, for she is the only one she can count on ... Jen holds JJ’s hand and tells him Lani did not want to take the happiness away from him. He snaps to stop defending the very woman who ruined his life ... Chad lets Gabi know how sorry he also is about Eli. Justin arrives and informs Gabi that Rafe is out following a lead on someone who might have seen her driving around the night of the murder. Abigail – aka Dr. Laura appears – and assures Gabi she is on her side. Here comes Stefan. Chad accuses him of framing Gabi and planting drugs on him. He declares Gabi shall go free and stares him down. Stefan smoothly states to wait and see ... Court is soon in session. Trask calls Abigail. She glides to the stand and sits as Stefan slyly watches. She is asked to read her statement to the police. She ran into Gabi at the square after she had been to Andre’s office and she had sworn she would kill him. She starts to say she did not mean and is cut off. Trask asks if she was surprised and again cuts off her opinion. Now Justin gives her a chance to say she thought it was only a figure of speech. Stefan smirks as she touches her hair more like fake Gabi, the woman he wants ... Abe regrets making JJ feel like a racist and feels he failed JJ and his daughter. He is hard on himself ... Jen tries to tell JJ that he has the whole future ahead of him. However he feels he has lost it all and now feels nothing but emptiness. Jen starts to worry ... During the court recess Abigail stammers to Chad she tried. He assures her she was fine. He now gets a call from Hope and steps away. Stefan approaches Abigail, who notes she does not want anyone to figure out who she really is. Chad interrupts and wonders what she is speaking about with the likes of Stefan. She replies she was telling him to stay away. Court is back and Trask summons Stefan to the witness stand. He clears his throat and proudly states his name. Trask asks about the security cameras and confirms the evidence he gave the police. He must explain again why there were 58 missing minutes, as the cameras were undergoing tests. He claims to wish they had all that footage so he could find out who killed his brother. Justin now questions the timing of the security system being turned off at the time Andre was killed. He alludes to the fact that they were not friendly and Andre wanted him out. Stefan cannot deny they argued but denies being involved in his murder. Justin mentions the cell phone as well and alludes to more coincidences. Another recess. The bailiff escorts Gabi to the ladies room. Abigail stands up quietly follows ... Jen urges JJ to have another session with Eric. He promises her he does not plan to end it all. He just has to start over and decide what to do with his life ... Lani believes she is to blame and not Abe. Abe suggests she can still make it right and then finds out Lani felt she had to tell Eli he was the father. Abe the seasoned man of the law senses his daughter is hiding something. Who made her tell Eli the truth? Lani admits it was Valerie ... Eli is still not sure Lani will want him in the baby’s life. Val counters he should make it clear to her he will be in his child’s life. She should not shut him out! Eli excuses himself to the station. She gushes he will be a great father and hugs him ... Ambitious D.A. Trask recalls Abigail to the stand. Chad starts to worry ... Abe is horrified to hear that Valerie knew the truth all along as she had looked at Lani’s medical file. Here comes Val now. Abe sternly calls her name and she stops ... Jen has paid JJ’s bail and tells him of the conditions. He cannot go near Eli. No problem with that. Jen is ready to take him home but then Eli walks in ... Trask reminds Abigail that she just told her in the corridor she had had a conversation with Gabi in the ladies room. Gabi assures Justin she just thanked her. Trask asks Abigail what else she said. Fake Gabi now seems to claim that Gabi had said she felt guilty because she actually did kill Andre.
