The man who sent Chloe the flowers emerges. She does not know him. Lucas wants to know why the flowers ... Brady proves his point to Eve by informing her the new face of Bella contest is live and voting ... Ciara and Claire get catty at the loft though Claire is the more confident Bella contestant ... At the hospital John invites Marlena to lunch and asks what she is hiding on that tablet ... Kayla would like to play darts with Steve at the pub. He cries he cannot see a thing. She holds his hands and assures him she is here. He laments the loss of light. She vows they will make it through together. He holds her hands tight ... Chloe officially meets Miguel Garcia. Lucas acts possessive and demands an explanation ... Eve refuses to fall into Brady’s arms. He believes anything is possible if only you believe. Their romance, their bond was real and cannot be broken. Eve counters by showing him a knife, still trying to play the role of the tough cookies she wishes she could be when he was in the room. Miguel admits he acted on behalf of his boss but does not give his name ... Marlena admits to John she has been contacting colleagues regarding any trials that could help Steve with his sight. So far she has nothing. John grins and is grateful. However his guilt will not go away ... As a piano plays in the background Steve whispers he loves Kayla, who strokes his sad face. She wants to take him to the hospital. He agrees so she leads the way ... Tripp watches as Ciara repeats there are some real pretty girls in the contest. He takes a look and agrees. Claire thinks she has more going on than those girls and refers to her stage presence and professional photos. Ciara calls her unclassy. Claire quips you only get one vote. Ciara tells Tripp to go ahead and vote for her now. Claire smiles ... Miguel explains his mysterious boss loved Chloe’s Salome. He had sent her flowers and an invitation to dinner in Europe. She is sorry she did not receive it. Miguel declares his boss was disappointed ... John and Marlena run into Kayla and sightless Steve at the hospital. Kayla cries she wants to see the specialist. Marlena will take her there. Steve assures her he will be fine waiting in the exam room with John. John has tears in his eyes as trusting Steve waits for his partner to show him the way ... Tripp refuses to vote and get in the middle of the mayhem. Claire goes to skype Theo and get his vote. Ciara gets upset with him, assuming he thinks Claire should be the new face of Bella ... Miguel explains he had business in Chicago and his boss wants him to invite Chloe to dinner on his behalf. Lucas says no way ... Brady is not pleased with Eve’s offer. She tells him to take her money and run. He looks at the number with surprise ... John waits with Steve in the waiting room. Steve thinks his detective days are over. John is more upbeat. Steve suggests he buy him out so he can be less of a financial burden on Kayla ... Marlena reminds nervous Kayla the specialist will come after he is done with his patient and gets her to sit down. She praises her for trying to help Steve. Kayla has heard the fear in his voice. Marlena is relieved she was there for him. Kayla is heartbroken to see the man she loves in so vulnerable a state ... John drawls forget it man cos Steve is too important to their agency. Kayla comes with Marlena and Marlena suggests she and John give them their privacy. John assures them if there is anything they are here. Kayla and Steve are touched. Steve feels they will be friends forever ... Chloe says no thanks. Lucas boasts they are dating. Miguel now passes on that his boss wants to produce an opera for Chloe to star in in Mexico City. Chloe says wow so he hands her his card before walking off. Chloe and Lucas agree it was all rather weird ... Eve suggests Brady take her offer and spend more time with Tate. Brady sighs he has been asking about her. He refuses to walk away and tears up her lucrative offer, concluding she is still stuck with him whether she likes it or not. Besides Bella magazine was named after his mother, the beautiful Isabella who was lost when he was a baby. He warns Eve about running Basic Black on her own. One needs a partner in may ways ... Tripp explains that Ciara has inner beauty and he does not want to be the kind of guy who votes for who is prettier. It validates a kind of contest he does not condone ... John updates Marlena on his refusal to buy Steve out of Black Patch. She is relieved to hear it. He has to make his friend realize how much he has to offer and holds her close ... Kayla tries to be hopeful in the room with Steve but he wants her to stop and suggests she accept it. He is ready for the cane that was already provided by the doctor so she hands it to him and wipes away her tears. He calls it his new friend and she hands him the dark glasses as well. He now finds out he has to give up his custom made leather patch that used to make him feel badass. She weeps he will always be the man who stoke her heart. He thanks her but breaks down about removing his patch. So she does it for him and kisses his face. Steve now gets the new glasses on and asks how he looks. Cool as ever of course. Kayla gasps she has got him and he cries on her shoulder ... Ciara wonders why Tripp changed his mind about the contest. He wants to stay out of her feud with Claire and wants to keep the peace. Ciara bitterly believes he is not interested. He states casting a vote in a stupid contest should not make a difference. Claire watches from her bedroom door with a smug smile ... Brady plans to prove to Eve that they are only happy when they are together ... John and Marlena are with Kayla as Steve struggles with the cane. He makes it to sweetness and she encourages him. Marlena and John watch with sadness as Kayla clutches Steve and gasps he is great, though her eyes are filled with fear of the unknown ... STAY TUNED! |
