There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Chad puts down the bags at the mansion and sits down on the sofa with a sigh. Abi appears and informs him the baby is sleeping. She starts to melt down. Chad takes her in his arms and promises the police will stop Ben. Abigail is baffled that no one can find him. He followed her! Chad soap stares and then admits he lied, Ben was never in Louisiana ... Gabi insists on paying the food bill at the cafe with JJ and Arianna. He takes her hand and tells her he likes being her bodyguard. She wants the nightmare over and hopes for a happy ending ... At the hospital Marlena and Rafe are with Adriana, Rafe's mother. Kayla is shocked to hear of her kidnapping ordeal. John and Steve are both fine and will be there shortly. Kayla agrees with Rafe that someone should have a look at her and sends them to a room to wait. John and Steve now exit the elevator trying to hold up drugged Paul, who has had an episode ...In Ed's hospital room, Dario decides he is booking his father's flight out of Salem. Ed wishes he could say goodbye to Rafe first. Dario repeats to leave ... John sits by his son. Paul looks up at Kayla and wonders what is wrong. John gently explains he had an episode and is going to be alright. Kayla escorts him away for tests. Marlena now stands by her man as he credits Steve and Rafe with his rescue. He is grateful for friends and family and holds Marlena's shoulders. Gabi runs in with Ari, relieved to see Rafe made it back. Dario also emerges. Rafe is about to tell them his happy news when mommy reappears. A happy reunion ensures. Petite Adriana embraces her children with warmth. Rafe takes the clan to a private room. He tells the tale of finding mommy at the warehouse with prisoners Paul and John. Gabi asks what happened. She was grabbed by men in a van who gave her an injection. Next thing she knew she woke up in that room. Rafe watches with worry. She asks how she is connected to that case and is met with silence ... Marlena and John are at Paul's bedside. He feels weak. Kayla explains they flushed the drugs from his system. John blames himself and sadly states it would have been better to leave his parents in the past ... Kayla is with Steve at the nurse's station and praises him for his bravery. He is relieved it ended up alright. Kayla now lets him know she never stopped loving him but her forgiveness is another matter. A harmonica plays as he drawls he does not mind waiting for her as long as it takes ... Abigail is angry with Chad for deceiving her about the danger of Ben. He could have held them all at gunpoint during the wedding! Chad states his security team and the cops had it covered. She snaps she saw him at the window staring at her! Chad notes no one found any clue. She gasps he thinks she imagined it. He feels her fear could have led to it. She snaps she certainly did not imagine this and holds up her slashed nightgown, screaming Ben is definitely back and stalking her! Chad gets even more uneasy ... John has a moment alone with Paul and apologizes for dragging him into his drama. Paul points out finding his past was important. John sighs about not wanting to know his father the sadistic maniac. Paul marvels at the great and brave man his father is. John gets choked up when he praises him for protecting his family and adds he is proud ... Adriana again wonders why she was held captive. Rafe replies they are investigating and advises her to call the aunt. She gets excitable and exits to do so with Gabi. Rafe thinks she is not ready to face the man who left her. If she knew the truth her heart would break all over again. Dario already knows the big secret of Eduardo's killer life and agrees ... Chad assures Abigail he believes her and she cries on his shoulder. He is sorry and asks her to forgive him for ever doubting her. She does with a sigh, then notes there should be no more secrets now that they are a married team. He talks going on the offensive and he has an idea. She nods, eager to help ... At the hospital, John is amazed Steve risked having his bail revoked by jumping the state line for him. Steve takes it all in stride. John calls him a hero. Steve quips Marlena is the hero cos she came to his rescue and knocked a bad guy out cold. John agrees with that. Marlena suggests they head home for some rest since patient Paul will be resting a while. Dr.Kayla promises to keep them updated. John steps away for one more thing ... Adriana returns and updates her kids that someone sent their aunt an email that was not from her, stating she was fine. Rafe realizes it was Yo Ling. At least the worst is over. Adriana gushes over her granddaughter, still being he by Gabi. She now hugs Dario, who wanted to be with the family. She smiles at Rafe as well and gushes about the family finally getting back together. Gabi excuses herself to check on her friend. Adrianna now gets intense. She demands Rafe and Dario spill their secret ... John pays Ed a visit, glad he is alright. Ed thanks him and is sorry he turned his back from him to save Rafe. John thinks no thanks or regrets are necessary. He updates him on the madman father Yo Ling, who is now dead. The good news is that there is no organization after them anymore. They are officially free of their pasts. Ed the wise man mutters they may be free of the threat but not the past ... Gabi goes to see Paul, who is still in his hospital bed. She asks what happened so he tells her, though it is all still fuzzy. MY GRANDFATHER WAS A FREAK. He wanted to make him his soldier and he also wanted to steal John's blood for himself. Gabi is stunned and sympathetic. He remembers her mother was there. Gabi smiles she is happy to be here with them and tells her modeling partner he will be fine with a few touch ups. Paul thanks her for dropping by. When she departs to get back to her daughter et al, he stares into space ... Rafe tells mom there is no secret but mama knows her boys better. Gabi enters with Arianna. Rafe takes off to forensics and Dario takes off to make a call... Home at last, Marlena snuggles with John on the sofa and softly asks what he has on his mind. Tender music plays. He wishes she had not risked her life cos so many need her. She smiles she is here with the man she loves. And she is not the kind of gal who sits around when something needs to be done. She notices he did not seem to want to thank her for saving him the way he thanked Steve and Rafe. He gets emotional about needing his woman. If anything ever happened to her ... She emotionally explains she knows as she feels the same way. They share a romantic embrace ... Officer JJ is at the mansion, where Abigail and Chad have presented him with the slashed nightgown. JJ notes there is no physical evidence that Ben was here. Chad now wants JJ in on his plan to trap Ben. JJ pauses. At the end he calls it risky and wonders how his sister feels about it. She would do anything to lock up that loon. Chad excuses himself. JJ is sorry for misleading his sis about Ben's whereabouts. She will forgive him this time. However, Devereaux are supposed to stick together. The young cop agrees and asks how she is coping. Not well. The memories of Ben keep coming back clear as day. And he killed Will and Paige! JJ vows they will get the bastard before he harms another ... John has learned much about Yo Ling and updates Marlena. The man suffered from a blood disorder and his brain was being eaten away, hence his madness. The blonde is sympathetic his search for his family and past were so painful. He shuts his father's memory box of medals, newspaper clippings, and declares he would rather remember the man Tim was, a war hero. That is the one he will mourn. He holds his dog tags in his hand ... Rafe visits Ed in his hospital room. He appreciates he saved his life but then blasts him for the collateral damage due to his past. Mother was kidnapped and saved with John! Ed longs to see her but Rafe leers to leave her alone ... Back at DiMera mansion, Chad brings in baby Thomas, who is asleep in his bassinet. Abigail admires him. Chad thinks she will relax now. She laments she cannot cos Ben might still believe this is his son. What if ... Chad insists nothing will happen. She calls him irresponsible. Ben is both dangerous and demented. Chad tells her to calm down. JJ stands in silence. Abigail wants to leave Salem again. Chad feels strongly about stopping Ben sooner rather than later and he swears no one will hurt them or their son here. Abigail deduces it is time to do it, then. Time to enact his plan and trap Ben the son of a beech ... Rafe rages at Eduardo. His past is to blame for mama being kidnapped. Dario enters and seems to side with Rafe. Ed angrily agrees to leave town. All of a sudden Adriana, who followed her furious son's voices, appears at the door. She cannot believe who she sees in the bed ... Marlena is still seated with John on the sofa and they thank God the bad times are over. John holds his woman close. Back at the hospital, Paul's red eyes open as he remembers hearing Yo Ling's ominous words about being the messenger, the beginning and the end to destroy the first world. Dangerous music plays ...
