Thursday, March 22, 2018 Episode 13,300 1350 words Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... BASED ON DAYSCAFE NOON TWEETS WITH DETAILS ADDED! Eli eats at his desk with Lani. They both have to take the stand against Gabi in the murder case and Lani could not feel worse. Eli worries but she suggests he stop being so concerned. He confesses he has been harboring second thoughts about letting another man be the father of his baby ... At the courthouse Rafe hugs anxious Gabi. She is grateful for Eli and also brother Rafe. She asks about his love life. Rafe admits he has had almost no contact with Hong Kong Hope ... Belle warmly greets Hope at the hotel restaurant in Hong Kong. She has annulment papers prepared so Hope takes a look. She asks if she is really sure ... Stefan wants to see fake Gabi to her lavish Hong Kong suite. He tells her to relax and have fun now that they are far from Salem. She smiles and they walk past Hope’s table, though neither has seen the other. Yet ... Lani points out it is too late to change the paternity plan! Eli talks truth. Enter JJ ... Hope now notices Chad walking by and calls his name. He happily hugs both women and wonders about Hope being there. She wanted time away. Chad admits to surprised Belle he simply came to keep an eye on his wife ... Fake Gabi in the black dress strikes a seductive pose on the big bed in her luxurious suite. Stefan admires the view. She slyly wonders where he plans to spend the night ... Back in Salem Gabi offers to speak with Hope on Rafe’s behalf. He wants her to focus on her trial. For now Hope is still requesting her space. Gabi thinks she will realize they belong together. Rafe asks how she overcame. Gabi sighs it was not easy but Eli is her rock! Rafe calls her a hopeless romantic. She gushes she knows he is never gonna lie to her again ... Lani lies to JJ she was simply practicing for the witness stand with Eli, hence the long face. She plans to leave for the courthouse with JJ and tells Eli to go to Gabi ... Chad sits with Hope and Belle, believing Abigail was forced to fly to Asia with Stefan. He has not made his presence known. Belle is surprised they are staying in the same hotel and suggests Chad stop being so extreme. Chad insists he knows Stefan is after his wife cos he is trying to isolate her ... Stefan stammers he has an adjoining suite with no expectations. Fake Gabi flirts up a storm. He excuses himself and she asks him to stay. Stefan looks her up and down like a wolf but she is no lamb and points out she needs protection. He agrees and she appreciates him making her feel so safe. Mediterranean music plays as she expresses her desire to be real, whoever she is. Stefan can relate ... Chad helps himself to chocolate cake and states Stefan must have killed Andre. He knows Abigail is doing her best to help and will be back in time for Gabi’s trial. Belle grins only Justin could beat that beech Trask ... The trial in Salem gets started with D.A. Trask reminding the court that Gabi Hernandez has killed before. As Rafe and JJ watch, she tells the tale of Gabi building her biz with blood money and then killing Andre when he dropped her from DiMera. The footage does not lie and it was her coat seen! In addition she was caught trying to dump the damning evidence, including the coat. Murder in the first degree! She urges the court not to let her get away with her crime. Now Justin stands and states that story was filled with fiction. Words are only words and that is all the D.A. has, along with highly circumstantial evidence as the woman in the footage has not been conclusively identified. Anyone could have borrowed Gabi’s coat to set her up to take the fall. He tells the court that Trask still has sour grapes regarding Gabi cos she got her earlier sentence commuted. He warns the jury not to be fooled by fiction for only facts matter in a court of law. He sits back down beside Gabi and Trask gives him a decidedly dirty look ... Stefan tells fake Gabi about his own childhood, how he was adopted from an orphanage with the name of Sam. He was lost until he found Mama Vivian, who gave him his identity. He is proud of his DiMera genes and offers to help Gabi find her own place in the world. She gushes she likes the sound of that so he takes her hand ... Now alone with Hope, Chad repeats what she once told him – to fight for his marriage. He suggests she do the same. Hope gets a haunted look in her eyes. He warns the special love she and Rafe share is not easy to be found in this world. Meanwhile Rafe is sworn in at the trial. Trask reminds the court of his connection to the accused and asks what he found as one of the first responders. Rafe admits Andre was dead and the murder weapon was discovered to be a missing piece of Anna’s urn with Tony’s remains, a piece which was later found. Justin probes and Rafe points out Anna was seen on the footage at the scene of the crime. Justin asks if she has been exonerated. Negative. Rafe must admit it is possible that she was actually the one who killed Andre ... Under oath Eli has to admit that he and Rafe saw a resemblance between Gabi and the girl on the footage so they both summoned Gabi to explain. Trash shows the jury the pictures and points out the strong possibility this was Gabi. Justin stands and argues so far no one has positively identified the woman ... Belle comes back to the table and tells Chad and Hope that Stefan’s business meeting in Hong Kong is real. Chad gets worried as Abigail has yet to emerge from her room ... Fake Gabi wants Stefan to relax and aggressively takes off his jacket. Then she messes his hair. Stefan is mesmerized when she starts to unbutton his shirt. Their eyes lock with longing ... Belle advises Chad to go to Abigail. Hope agrees but he would rather not stress her out with his presence. Hope suggests they be a team so he decides to go surprise his sweet wife. Meanwhile Stefan’s lips get closer to fake Gabi’s and he whispers ... 'room service.' She breathily agrees. He hands her the menu and buttons up his shirt ... D.A. Trask orders Detective Lani to explain under oath how she caught Gabi with the urn lid, ID badge and her gloves when she was trying to destroy them. Justin decides he needs something big since that looks bad. He asks Gabi to tell him why she asked Lani to look the other way. He senses a secret. But the judge wants him to start now so he does. He asks witness Lani why Gabi asked her to look the other way, why she actually believed she would do that. Lani soap stares. So does Eli. Justin Kiriakis senses something and he is in it to win it for his client ... Belle suggests she take Hope shopping soon and leaves her with the annulment papers. Hope reads them again though her heart is heavy ... Chad knocks at Abigail’s suite door and waits. But fake Gabi is now at the restaurant with Stefan, happy to be far from Salem. They are ready to celebrate. Hope now notices Stefan and the back of the brunette he is with ... Justin presses police detective Lani to come clean about Gabi’s reason for assuming she would help her. Pause. The judge orders her to answer. Lani will only reveal Gabi felt she owed her. Justin demands the detective clarify or face contempt. Lani suddenly gasps she slept with Gabi’s boyfriend Detective Eli Grant. JJ looks ready to explode. Just you wait! STAY TUNED |
