The battle of the board continues at DiMera Enterprise's secret meeting ... Stefano elegantly observes Kate going down right before his eyes. When she cries out how he played her with the help of Victor Kiriakis, things go from bad to worse for the woman he once loved. The board members are shocked she took the enemy's advice and deduce he did play her. Kate continues to point the finger, Stefano muses he did not force her to do anything. Kate is enraged though she still assumes Chad is in her court. Perhaps she is assuming too much ... Cole is at the park with Paige, excited about their dinner and maybe music for their date later tonight. Paige suddenly remembers she forgot to tell her mother she would not perform. She texts her but has no luck so she takes off ... Things are getting intense between JJ, who intends to win back his dream girl, and Eve, who is partly jealous partly protective of her unsuspecting daughter ... Abe and Hope have managed to gain entry to the DiMera mansion. She is sure the DA will get that stay dropped and they will be able to apprehend Stefano. Where is he? And where is Chad? They must be at a meeting together. Hope opens the computer and is about to read until dutiful manservant Harold appears, demanding to know WOT the pair are doing in here alone ... Mel is ready to meet Brady as her shift was cut short and leaves him a cute message on her phone. Theresa the terrible taunts her. Insults are exchanged and it starts to escalate ... Dan steps in to break it up. Theresa waltzes off and he gives Mel a piece of his mind for not practicing avoidance of the troublemaker ...Brady is done his run and ends up alone at the house of Kiriakis. He takes a drink of water. Clint is right behind him and takes aim with his dart gun. He hits his mark with the dart to Brady's neck, with something to make him pass out. Brady falls to the floor out cold. Creepy Clint gets his cash and then gets his arm ready for a prick to paint a damning picture... Word comes in that Shin is threatening to quit. The potential scandal gets worse by the minute! Kate promises to fix it and have the deal annulled. The board is sensitive the SEC could accuse them of conflict of interest. Stefano chuckles. One of the board members calls a vote, to reinstate Stefano as CEO. Kate coos they cannot vote for they would need Shin the major shareholder's vote. Enter the proxy. Chad watches and learns from the master ... JJ refuses to accept he has lost Paige. Eve refuses to accept he intends to win her back. Enter the Paige. She wonders ... Abraham produces a present he promised to give Chad for Theo and innocently asks where the wayward uncle might be. The cook let him in. The butler claims not to know and advises him to contact Mr. DiMera himself. Now it is time to leave ... Paige is perplexed to find her mother and JJ together. Eve explains there was only one performance before the show had to be postponed and she was just telling JJ how beautifully he played. Paige asks for a word alone with JJ. Eve tries to talk her out of it ... The board votes for Stefano. Kate votes NAY. She looks at Chad and waits. He votes YEAH and so Stefano is IN as the CEO again. Within minutes he has the Shin mess reversed ... Kate is escorted from the room by a security guard. She hisses how well played. Chad is the first to stand up and welcome him back. Stefano smiles not so fast. He may be the future and he may want him to keep working at DiMera but for now, there shall be no co-CEO. The phoenix is SOLE CEO. Chad pouts ... Dan declares he knows about Mel investigating Theresa. She babbles about Mandrake and wants to excuse herself to see Brady. Dan offers to drive her and hear the whole story on the way ... JJ suggests smooth sailing ahead for the future. Paige is perplexed when her mother withdraws. JJ is much moved when Paige admits she stayed to hear him and the song she still remembers him working on was beautiful. He credits her with helping him fix it once upon a time. She credits his soulful playing straight from the heart. He emotionally points out he was thinking of her, how much he loves her. Paige turns away and also gets emotional. He begs her to hear him explain what really happened. She has a date with Cole. JJ vows to tell her the whole truth if she meets him at their fountain at seven tonight. She glides away without replying. JJ tells himself at least she did not say no ... Hope and Abe run into Victor at the town square. The smiling Greek was taking a stroll. He hopes everything is alright. Abe asks him about the judge he is friends with, who granted the stay of Stefano's warrant. Hope is frustrated they cannot find him despite the fact that the DA is about to have the stay cancelled. Victor offers to talk to his friend. All of a sudden Kate appears, feeling sunk, and states she will tell them exactly where Stefano is meeting with the DiMera board ... Clint catches up with Theresa at her apartment. She gets into her pink teddy and they take the action to the bed. As they make out, he reaches for the dangerous syringe he has reserved especially for her ... The board leaves for the airport. Chad sulks Stefano never said anything about what he had planned. Stefano, it seems, does not take his son seriously and has no intention of letting him slack off. The company will be his one day, there is much to learn ... Mel and Dan discover Brady passed out on his back at the Kiriakis mansion. He groggily comes to. The ambulance is on its way. Brady knows not what happened, the last thing he remembers is he went for a jog, drank some water ... Dan peers at him with doubt, Mel wants to believe him. Later he lies in a hospital bed, Mel faithfully at his side. Dr. Dan is awaiting the test results. When Brady opens his eyes again, the medicine man asks if he was using any drugs. Brady denies it. Mel believes him. Dan now gets the preliminary results of the toxicology tests. Brady blinks. Mel stands by her man ... Eve takes a seat with Cole at the club and lets him know she approves of him dating Paige, so long as he treats her like the goddess she is. Otherwise she warns she will come after him ... Brady worriedly wonders how this could have happened to him. Mel thinks she knows. THERESA! ... Victor makes nice with Kate over drinks and asks about her future plans. Surely she would not want to take Mad World away from Lucas. Kate pauses and purrs perhaps ... but the Greek gets an important call he steps away to take ... The Keystone cops burst into the board room to arrest STEFANO. The room is empty until Chad turns around in the big chair, with a sarcastic greeting. They just missed his father ... Stefano is holding a glass of champagne on his private flight out of Salem, as well as his phone. He thanks Victor his new ally and assures him he owes him big time. The Greek grins not to forget it ... THE END! Ahead on Days: Will the blackmailer is back in action! Paul sees Sonny ... Brady claims innocence. Justin and Adrienne have a blow up. |
