At Horton house it is morning but not all the Hortons slept well in their Horton beds. First there is JJ, who is consumed with the girl he cares for so deeply he has decided to do something about it. Then there is Jen, the worrier who worries Eve will ... do what Eve does best and blab the secret she was blackmailed into keeping by yours truly ... Mother and son discuss the drama ... Eve is all alone at her apartment, up early in one of her best cocktail dresses. She hastily calls Paige, who is already on campus, grateful to have heard she did not hate her yesterday. She sweetly suggests they continue that conversation. Paige cannot cos she has a date with Cole tonight. After the call, Eve assures herself Cole is better than JJ Devereaux, Anybody would be better than that boy ... At the club, Nicole innocently bumps Aiden and asks for his ..... help .... The attorney assumes it is legal. He is assuming wrong. Nicole needs to know how he got Hope to change her mind so fast about him. He now assumes she is after Eric but she quips it is Dan. Aiden is astonished, since he heard the priest quit the priesthood for her, not to mention that Dan and Jen are still drawn to each other. Nicole notes she and Eric are ancient history. Aiden notes sometimes ancient history is your best bet. Besides Hope believes Dan and Jen belong together. The devil with the blue dress on gets her back up, insults Hope, and storms off ... Chad confers on a call with Stefano the mentor. He boasts Kate bought it that he had done that cost analysis though in reality he did not even read it! He thanks father phoenix for passing it on. Stefano chuckles but suggests his son not underestimate Katarrrrrina ...Chad assures him he is in it to win it and to bring Kate to ruin ... Kate and Clyde are breakfasting together at the pub. He wonders about that wicked smile. She purrs she is positively in a position to tighten the proverbial noose around Stefano's neck. He grins it must be a joke. She insists she has sufficient ammo to sock it to Stefano big time. Clyde cackles and points out he will never step on her toes so long as she does not step on his two-stepping toes... At the house of Kiriakis Victor is chuckling to himself about his scheme ... Outside the room Maggie confides to Rafe she fears the Greek is glum and is desperate to bring him out of it. Rafe will suggest he spend more time at the nightclub and goes in. He suggests the boss is down in the dumps due to Clyde's company taking over Victor's trucking territory. And there is talk of expansion. Victor growls to let it go. Rafe announces he will do some digging and ask around. Victor snaps not to be a moron ... Stefano asks where Kate is at the moment. With Clyyyyyyyyyyyde .... Dr. Dan is on campus and could not help but hear what Paige said about dating Cole. He feels a girl like her should not have to settle. Cole comes along and acts rude. Paige apologizes. Dan goes on his way and Cole wonders about the old guy who gave him a bad vibe. Paige explains he happens to be a doctor who is concerned about her and she sometimes babysits his son. She stops short of mentioning the JJ connection. Cole has a movie in mind for their date - a wild movie at the student center. Paige puts on a happy face, trying to move on, trying to forget ... Eve obsesses over the deal she was forced to make .... Jen obsesses over Eve maybe changing her mind ... JJ vows he will never cheat again and goes off to win back his dream girl ... Jen places a call to angry Eve and talks tough, reminding her not to repeat what she and JJ did to anyone ... Eve must agree but hisses she hates Jen, who could not care less ... Stefano smoothly states Katarrrrrina is no fool and Chad might be underestimating her. Chad notes the obstacle his father is facing is the toughest one of all. No matter. Stefano has a plan ... Victor rages at Rafe not to ruin everything. Rafe realizes this has all been an act, he is setting up Clyde. Of course! Victor has not forgotten when happened to Sonny. No one stabs a KIRIAKIS in the back and gets away with it! Jen is leaving the minutes to a meeting on Dr. Dan's desk when he comes in and starts to state his concerns about Paige and JJ. Jen claims she changed her mind and everything is different now cos JJ broke up with that girl Roxanne anyway. Dan suspects she is hiding something but gets paged. He insists she wait for him here to continue but Jen takes off once he is gone ... At the square Maggie runs into shopaholic Eve, who brags about shopping with her funds from the book, which Jen tried to cut off. Maggie muses then she should donate some old clothes to the charity drive. Even her daughter is helping. Eve snaps and Jen? She is helping as well. Eve hisses then ask her for her old clothes and rages about JJ the delinquent. Maggie senses something has happened. Eve the loose cannon denies it and storms off, loudly cursing Jennifer Horton. The redhead takes it all in ... JJ woefully walks toward Paige on campus hoping to talk. Paige asks angry Cole to give them a moment alone ... Paige is listening and pouting as JJ implores her to believe he loves and wants only her. He ended it with Roxy. Paige, however, has not forgotten how he called her boring and turned her down every time SHE tried. Therefore they are done forever! She walks away and JJ hangs his head ...Kate sweeps into DiMera mansion and asks about Shin's call. Chad states it is scheduled for later. He questions her about Clyde but Kate does not kiss and tell. She refuses to talk personal with the heir apparent. Business only. Chad is amused. So be it. They will discuss only business .... dirty business ... Rafe pretends to confront Clyde at the park for ruining boss Victor's trucking business and reason for smiling. Clyde muses he is too old and perhaps that was why he pulled back. He cackles to find another cause and goes on his self-satisfied way. Rafe grins. He has another cause alright ... Dan is dismayed that he cannot reach Jen on the phone from his office. Alas she is not taking his calls. He knows something is strange. As he stresses to her voice mail he does indeed care. Nicole arrives and overhears ... At the Kiriakis mansion Victor the Greek gets an unexpected call from Stefano the great and powerful. He asks for his assistance. Victor purses his lips and lets him know he is listening ... this is gonna be BIG! THE END Ahead on Days: So many levels of lies! Chad saves Abi! Mel shows what she's made of ... |
