Tripp cannot reach Ciara on her phone and leaves a message about last night. Claire is with him as he apologizes for hurting her ... At the hospital Marlena calls Will about Ben being released. Hope overhears. Marlena vows not to let Ben cause him harm. Hope questions if she can actually keep said promise ... Will has not listened to his message yet and finishes getting dressed. Knock knock. He opens his door to BEN, who updates him on his release. He means him no harm. Will demands to know what he wants. To tell him he is back. Will’s eyes widen with dread ... Marlena must reveal her professional opinion that the shrink who let Ben get out was not wrong in the diagnosis. However, she will be watching Ben. She says so to Hope, who has a different opinion ... Steve calls long distance from the pub complaining about Stefan owning the company from which he could get that bionic eye. Meanwhile Kayla ends an intel gathering call, now more aware than ever that Stefan is Steve’s best shot ... Stefan has followed Kate outside and calls himself her conscience. She starts to go. He taunts he bears a gift and holds Viv’s gun at her face. She calmly asks him to stop it and denies murdering his mother. Stefan leers how did it feel and bellows BANG. Kate cries out and he laughs. He wants justice. She states he already stole everything from the family and warns he would lose it all if he killed her. Marlena comes along and freezes in her tracks when she sees his gun aimed at Kate ... Hope visits busy Dr. Kayla in her office to complain about Ben running free. The commissioner feels frustrated as she knows he is still dangerous. Kayla changes the subject to Ciara. Hope is grateful she spoke to her about her own history. Kayla tells her she told her to talk to Tripp ... Claire suggests Tripp give Ciara sufficient space ... Ciara imagines Claire seducing Trip and blinks back the tears, still at the roadside ... Will wants Ben to back off. Ben calmly claims he just wants to talk. Here comes Chad, who growls to talk to him. Will is relieved. Chad stands before Ben and points out he cannot make amends to those he killed. Ben is sorry about Abigail’s relapse. Chad shoves him and snaps not to speak her name. Ben suggests she could be to blame for pushing him off the edge by cheating. He claims he wants to be a better man, Chad suggests he start by leaving Salem ... Steve accidentally breaks a glass at the pub. He shouts when Tripp tries to help clean it up. Steve hates needing help ... Kayla confides in Hope about having the power to help Steve ... Marlena solemnly suggests Stefan stop threatening Kate with the gun and urges him not to throw away the goodness Gabby saw in him. He tosses Kate the unloaded gun and she cries out. He calls the weapon a gift and sneers she will not even see him coming next time. Then he goes on his wicked way ... Steve is frustrated that the glass cuts and accepts Tripp’s offer to pick up the pieces. He asks about his date with Ciara. Tripp sighs he was unaware of her history and made her freak by getting physical too fast. Steve talks connection. Tripp updates him on an almost moment with Claire, after which Ciara spilt on her bike. He asks Steve to help him find her ... Chad rages no one wants Ben in town and he will have no job and no one. He suggests he go live with his sister. Ben scoffs he cannot ... Marlena sits on a bench with Kate and offers to listen. Kate whispers there is something ... something about the night that Vivian died ... Ben quips he is broke. Chad hands him a wad of cash but Ben has plans in Salem. Will suggests he start by making amends and shakes his hand. Ben is sorry for what he did to all of them. It was when Sami hired him to reenact his rage with Will that he saw the monster he was in his eyes. Chad drawls he will drive him to the end of town and then he has to go far away. Ben agrees ... Kate cries she struggled over the gun with Viv but she knew she would kill her. She then stops and gets a message about Ben. Marlena states he does seem sane. Kate snaps Paige is dead and Will will live in fear now. Marlena cannot go against her professional judgment ... Ciara reaches for her cell and imagines Hope and Marlena discussing the fact that she is damaged forever. She cries like a lost child ... Steve suggests Tripp respect Ciara’s boundaries until she is ready ... As eerie music plays Kayla places a call to Stefan. She is ready to make a deal ... Will paces with Marlena and admits he wants to know more about what Ben did. He is interested in Dr. Rolf’s formula curing his amnesia. Marlena wonders whether he is really ready to take such a monumental risk ... Ciara's hand has reached her phone. Alas it is dead and she loses consciousness ... Tripp stammers Steve is right. He knows Ciara is fierce. He now asks about that call that he was on. Steve updates him on the bionic eye of a company owned by Stefan DiMera the devil No way in hell is he interested ... Stefan looks around Kayla’s office and is pleased she agreed to work for him. She hates the idea of going after Kate so he reminds her he holds the key to Steve’s sight. She snaps she will do as he asks since he is her only hope. Stefan now slyly demands the dirt on Kate he knows she already has ... Steve informs Tripp that Shane was dismal about any other option. Tripp suggests he try Stefan. Steve gets agitated about the dastardly DiMeras and points out he is keeping them as far from those people as possible ... Kayla updates Stefan on Kate getting Theo to break into those offices. She could go to prison for the crime. Stefan laughs and states he needs something bad on Kate, something that will crush her. And if Kayla loves her husband ... She whispers and agrees to do his bidding ... Kate holds the gun Stefan threw to her and pouts he had better not push her too hard ... Marlena reminds Will of the risks, what he might remember. But Will wants to remember falling in love, his fav color and his daughter. Thus he has decided to try and get his memories back ... At the square Chad updates Hope on Ben agreeing to go. Meanwhile crazy man walking Ben remembers Chad’s order that he go far from Salem. All of a sudden he stumbles upon sleeping Ciara by the motorbike. He pockets her cell phone and carries her away in his arms ... STAY TUNED! |
