There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the town square, John and Brady struggle a la rumble! Theresa acts like she wants to break it up. So does Hope, who comes running. Hope solemnly suggests father and son find a better way to resolve their issues or she will take them both into the station! John is horrified his wild-eyed son is so high. Detective Hope lets them both know Gabi was arrested for Nick's murder. It is the kind of thing that changes one's perspective pretty darn fast ... - At the park, JJ is thinking of Bev's STD test when he sees her on a bench. Time to lay down the law! He confronts her for her attempted setup. Bev claims Paige saw said test by accident and she was only trying to make things right. She acts indignant. JJ boasts he and Paige are closer than ever and anticipates a super summer. The he goes. Bev grimaces. - Paige has finished a final and seeks JJ at Horton house. As luck would have it, he is not there but Abigail the emotional wreck is. Paige asks if she is alright. She starts to cry she is not. Paige is sympathetic about her cousin and Abigail adds she still feels unwell, with bloating and cramping. She is out of Midol too. Paige has some and gives it to her. Abigail now admits she feels she has lost her bff! - Ben cannot contain his indignance over sister Jordan suspecting him. She explains she knew he had a gun and can get intense when a man mistreats a woman. Ben bellows she is acting like she thinks he is like HIM. Jordan was just remembering ... before ... Ben notes no one here knows what happened and this Fallon fiasco is finally over. Jordan sighs Rafe will not forget. He feels responsible for sister Gabi. Brother Ben can relate. - At the apartment, Sonny is torn. He blames himself for the gun. Will insists it is not his fault. Guns are not so hard to find. Sonny points out he is the one who brought the gun here. Then work calls. Will places a hand on Sonny's shoulder and notes Nick was a sick guy they both had the misfortune of getting involved with . He hugs him and urges him not to blame himself. Soulful Sonny will try not to ... - At the station, tough guy Rafe blames himself as Gabi cries he is a good brother. He mutters a good brother would not have let his sister be driven to shooting a man to death. Gabi blames herself for falling under Nick's spell. In her mind, there is no excuse. She shot a man and knew what she was doing. Therefore, she must pay the price! Rafe is dismayed as he distrusts her choice of lawyer, EJ DiMera. Gabi is a believer. Rafe suggests EJ could be doing what Sami wants, what is best for her. Gabi has already decided there is no lawyer who can get her out of this mess she made. Rafe warns her even with a guilty plea, there is no guarantee. Gabi moans Nick would not have killed her and she did not have the right to take his life! She mentions her insightful meeting with Marlena. Rafe cannot believe she has been confiding in others. He remembers holding her as a baby. She was a good little girl. She emotionally announces she loves her big brother, will never forget how he helped her. However, the time has come for her to face the music. Alone ... - Abigail thanks Paige for the much needed Midol and the listening. Paige is here anytime she needs to talk. Abigail teases she gets why JJ likes her. Enter the JJ. Paige discreetly excuses herself for a moment. Abigail sadly states there is sad news and suggests he sit down. - Hope tells the gang at the square she had suspected Will was covering for Gabi or Sonny. Then Gabi confessed. John and Brady are shocked. Hope reminds them no one has died in their drama so they should stop being stubborn and selfish and focus on the people who have problems. Brady slurs he gets it. So does Theresa. Hawkish John considers. - Jordan teases belligerent Ben that big sisters need to look after their brothers. Ben muses until the sisters get boyfriends. Sonny the big boss now calls and explains he cannot come by to sign the checks today. Ben offers to bring them over, Sonny appreciates it. Jordan just hopes Ben will be discreet about what she told him. His lips are sealed! - Theresa takes battered Brady back to her place and dabs his scuffed up face. She finds out Rafe is Gabi's brother and stops Brady from paying the former cop a visit. He would be better off calling. He mutters she is right, realizing he is not in the best condition to come face to face with an ex-cop. - Rafe informs Gabi that the elusive brother Dario called. She would rather not face him. And their mother? Gabi cries she cannot so he will do it. A uniformed cop announces the next visitor. Tis woeful Will. Rafe appreciates him coming and exits to make some calls. Gabi thinks that is the best. She knows she will be fine with Will. She asks after her baby. Will gets choked up that she has been asking for her mama. Gabi has a meltdown and cries on his shoulder. - Sonny is holding baby Arianna when he opens his door to Ben. Ben takes her and hands over the checks, noting how pretty she is. Sonny notices the overtime for his staff was not included on the checks and calls his accountant. He smiles in approval like a proud papa as Ben fusses over Ari. - Jordan finds Rafe by the town gate on his phone, frantic for anything on Nick's prison days. The files cannot be located so he tells his FBI friend to try again. Click. He turns to face Jordan, who is sympathetic. The big guy laments he had promised dying sister Arianna he would take good care of Gabi but look what happened! She was the sweetest little girl. He should have ... Jordan hugs her unhappy guy, who shuts his eyes. She gets philosophical. Life is life. But Gabi is not dead. He can show his love and support still. Rafe realizes she is right and credits her with making him feel better. Now to tell their mom and the brother they never see. How to tell a mother that her baby girl is going to prison, though??? - JJ asks Abigail what happens to the baby. Abigail sighs she knows not and this is all sad. JJ has not seen Sonny for a while and decides to depart for the apartment, to offer his baby sitting services and anything else they need. Abigail mysteriously states she cannot come just yet, as there is something she needs to do first ... - Hope sits on a park bench and laments she must be the first one to tell Julie and Maggie, etc. She talks to Bo's photo on her phone and sighs it is hard doing this without him. Where oh where is he and what could be more important to than his family! She shuts her eyes. When she opens then, there stands suited sympathetic Aiden. - Gabi sits with Will and explains she was in a trance after she shot Nick. But when Sonny said Will confessed, she snapped out of said trance. She was about to confess too. Will explains he assumed Sonny had done it and was covering for him. They remember the day they met. She was helping put up flyers to find missing sister Sydney. Will calls her his best friend and notes they made a beautiful daughter. What happened here is all Nick's fault. Gabi gasps it is her fault and she knows she has to pay ... - Theresa takes off and considers dropping by to offer her support to Will, as he is family. She leaves with a silly smile. Brady calls Rafe and gets his voice mail. He clears his throat and tells man it is baaaaaad what happened to young Gabi. He slurs he is sorry and ends the call, tossing his phone back on the table. Meanwhile suave John is at the pub, leaving DOC a heartfelt message about the Gabi case. He senses she is worried for Will and the baby. In case she needs to talk, he is here for her ... He ends the message, his eyes filled with torment. - Aiden admits he needed a break from morning court and asks how Hope is. She forces a smile and he teases her for flashing that smile to hide her feelings. He sits with her and suggests they talk. Hope gets choked up and cries it is complicated. Aiden puts his arm around her and she continues to cry on his shoulder. She gasps she is not usually like this and dabs at her eyes with a hanky. Aiden notes they all have bad days. How does she feel about what happened? He had tried to offer his services when he heard the news. Hope desperately wanted to believe Nick had changed. Aiden explains Gabi asked for no help and Nick had his own mind. There was nothing anyone could have done differently. Hope notes Aiden was not in the know. None of them are. Aiden points out he knows Hope, however. More than she realizes. Hope stands up and acts like a tough girl cop, denying his claim. The attorney disagrees and also stands up. He may have misjudged her when they first met but now he sees a good and decent woman, who is too hard on herself at times. He grins he will continue to consider her awesome and warns her not to let that go to her head. Hope cannot help but smile a sincere smile. - Bitter Bev is outside the club when she gets a call from a recently returned friend. She sarcastically brings up the new improved JJ ... - Paige and JJ arrive at the apartment, where Sonny politely introduces them to Ben. The baby is napping. JJ is very sorry about what happened. So is Sonny. - Gabi is giving Will tips on how to help the baby fall asleep and other things. She plans to make a list. Will promises her that he and Sonny will speak of her always to their baby. Gabi cries she will be able to get videos though she will miss seeing her first steps as they happen. It will be soon too. She weeps she is so grateful her little girl has Sonny and Will. If not, she might be feeling even crazier. Will assures her they will take good care of their precious girl. Gabi realizes she will not able to make her understand why she is not around until their daughter can talk. She and Will share a woeful embrace. - Rafe is on his phone with mama, who is said to be crying. Then the helper gets on the phone. Rafe will be in touch when he learns more. The big guy grumbles it was brutal. He feels utterly helpless. His mother used to tell him to look out for his sisters but he failed! Jordan cannot convince him otherwise. - Theresa gets home with Chinese food thanks to Brady's one-hundred dollar bill. Brady is putting on his shoes and wants to go. She offers him another coke bump. He slurs why not! Ominous music plays ... - JJ has handed Sonny all his details, declaring he can babysit anytime, Meanwhile, Paige sits with Ben on the couch and he asks about Abigail. All of a sudden, she exclaims he used to live in Miami! Ben soap stares. - Jordan assures Rafe that they could not have changed anything. Gabi took matters into her own hands. Rafe thinks the world has gotten all complicated around them. Jordan reminds him she is here for him always. He appreciates it and holds his girl close. - Will assures Gabi they will get their daughter through this trying time. He will take care of her and EJ will take care of all the legalities. Gabi hugs him again and says she loves him. She cries to tell Sonny too and kiss their baby girl. Will sincerely agrees and exits, promising to be back soon. Enter the next visitor. Tis aghast Abigail, who can only say OH MY GOD. Gabi turns around and gasps not to say another word until she has told her tale ... THE END NOTE: Days does not air on Thursday/Friday. |
