Eric is working at his desk when Nicole enters bearing gift bags she prepared for the guests. They bump as he takes the box and is sorry. He praises her strength. Woman in red Nicole wants to prove herself to the judge but wishes Brady had been strong enough to attend the event. She also wishes Deimos were caught cos what she will do to him if she finds him first! Meanwhile Rafe and Hope are at the station discussing Deimos with JJ and Lani. It seems halo 2.0 is more potent and could cause hallucinations. Rafe wants to find him. Hope adds they have enough to lock him up for a long time ... Stressed Sonny is making calls about the hires he needs. Suited Paul prevents him from taking another call just to say he loves him ... Dapper Chad drinks at DiMera mansion. Gabi wants him to admire her blue dress so he does. Tis their first date. He has just heard from his lawyer he is divorced. Tragic music plays ... Abigail takes a call and steps away from her mirror. She gasps how fast and finds out Chad knows. They are divorced. She ends the call and clutches the phone, walking past the flowers in her room. Then she picks up their framed family picture. Knock knock! Dario is at the door with their rings. He sees she is sad and she updates him. She agrees to wed whenever he wants. Dario is sympathetic about her sorrow. He is grateful she is helping him get his green card and vows to make her happy as well ... Colorful Julie and dapper Doug are with Eli at Marton house. Val must work at the hospital. Julie suggests he go pick up Gabi and hears they are over. She gushes at the server to get more champagne ... Deimos is wearing a grey wig and beard when his goon gives him the stuff he needs. He will not be abandoning Salem until he gets that amulet from Sonny ... Abigail sighs she could not stay married to someone who loved another. Dario hands her the classy ring. She forces a smile and he suggests they forget the party. Abigail believes the fundraiser is important, however, and gracefully heads for the door. The rings are left behind ... Gabi thinks Abigail is not to blame for falling for Dario. Chad grumbles he is no innocent as he fell for Gabi when he thought Abigail was dead. He gets himself another drink and woefully remembers their island was another world. Gabi gives him a kiss. He wants them to get going to the party to prove a point. Gabi suspects he is trying to prove something to himself and she doesn't like it. He tells her she is not his trophy, she is the one he wants. They kiss and she ushers him out ... The well-dressed detectives are ready to head to the Horton event. Rafe and Hope leave first. Suited JJ can see something is troubling Lani. She laments it was hard to come down from that drug and she sounds like she wants revenge. JJ notes they will nail Deimos and darkly looks at his wanted picture ... Paul fusses with Sonny's attire and finds the amulet that is hidden hanging around his neck. He gasps in protest. Sonny states he can sell the stolen artifact for a fortune. He doubts the curse. Paul exclaims to put it in the safe. Alas Deimos changed the combination. They depart but Paul is perturbed something bad is about to happen ... As Deimos cackles and conspires Eric remembers threatening him to leave Nicole alone. He tells her he should take her to the party given Deimos remains on the loose. But she insists on driving herself for she is no slave to fear. Eric has an ominous feeling that something is about to befall them ... The party is in progress as elegant Salemites gather. JJ and Lani chat with charming Sonny and Paul. Sonny has big company ideas and they ask about the Deimos investigation. No lead on his whereabouts. Eli advises them to get the FBI involved. JJ steps away to get his lady a drink. Eric shadows Nicole, who assures Rafe and Hope she will have Holly back in two months. Hope and Eric get to talking and he tells her that absentee Jen decided to be only friends as she feels he has feelings for Nicole ... Gabi and Chad arrive and greet Dario and Abigail. Chad and Abigail both pretend to be pleased about the divorce. Gabi wants wine. Dario wants some air with Abigail. Julie sweeps in, Doug at her side, and praises the survivors of the island. Now comes the announcement that Eli is the new owner of Marton house, which he will make a residence for young people. Now to the Horton Center announcement. The guests get back to the party post applause. Deimos watches in the shadows, disguised as a waiter, and places his potent halo powder in the glasses ... Hope is approached by Doug and Julie. He feels unwell so Julie is escorting him home. Hugs and they leave Hope to hold the fort ... Sonny is surprised when Chad states Andre married Kate. They look forward to the new generation of Kiraikis working with the DiMeras. But first Deimos must be stopped ... JJ hopes Gabi is happy and admits he cares. She cares as well, also about Abigail. JJ is not keen on Dario for his sister since it seems too fast ... Sonny asks Rafe and Hope for an update on Deimos and states Kiriakis security will get him. Paul tries to get him to stop. Sonny solemnly states he will do what he must to stop Deimos ... Nicole and Eric are outside. She gives him a pep talk about his important speech and they go back in together ... Also outside Dario is on the phone with Myron his happy hacker who has hit a roadblock. He complains to curious Hope that the club computer is down. Rafe arrives and wonders. Dario goes to say goodnight to Abigail. Rafe senses the tension and Hope does not deny it was about Chad though it really wasn't ... Abigail tells Dario that Chad is watching and gives him a kiss before he goes. Chad sips his champagne and darkly watches ... Deimos the madman orders the other waiter to give the guests the new glasses of apple cider and champagne. The waiter makes the rounds with his tray ... Eric now has the floor. He has high praise for Eli's generosity and Nicole’s assistance. The Horton Center to help was the dream of Alice Horton. They now toast to the center but Hope suddenly stops Eric from taking a sip from his glass. Deimos turns around with worry and hides his face ... Hope teases Eric not to toast with only water and gets the waiter to give him sparkling cider. The guests all drink up, including the cops and Eli. Deimos smiles like a maniac and walks out. Paul thinks he looks rather familiar and goes after him without having drunk the halo cocktail ... It is dark outside. Deimos creeps up from behind and bashes him on the head. He drags the unconscious P.I. out of sight ... Halo Abigail starts to bother Gabi and Chad for wanting to leave. Gabi tells her she did not steal her man, she was the one who pushed them together ... Eric has helped Nicole clean up. She suddenly feels groggy ... Abigail apologizes for calling Gabi guilty and staggers out. Chad goes after her. Gabi pouts and takes another sip ... Abigail closes her door behind herself. Her room is spinning. She sits on the bed. Chad arrives and asks how she fares. She starts to fall so he catches her. She blames the champagne. He is concerned and they get close. He holds her head and smiles ... Nicole sits down and Eric wonders what it is. She has never felt this way before. Eric exits to fetch a glass of water ... Deimos the disguised waiter watches. Hope babbles about to go or not to go to the station. Rafe takes her in his arms and ushers her out in a hurry. Eli slurs to JJ and Lani that he owns the place. Lani feels off. JJ decides he is in no state to drive and laughs he feels wasted. Gabi giggles about Lani's lovely dress. Sonny wonders where oh where Paul went. No one knows. Wired Sonny exclaims he has all the Kiriakis power but cannot find his boyfriend. Deimos smugly watches, waiting to make his big move for the amulet he is after ... END! |
