There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... - Kate calls Sami from the Ozarks and assures the worried partner-in-crime she spoke with Stefano recently and he is fine. All systems go! She urges her not to tip her hand to Abigail or EJ. Sami stops talking and gets irate the HO in question is at the town square too. With her new boy Ben, as a matter of fact. Kate wants her to stay focused. Sami agrees but glares daggers at the young couple. Ben and Abigail sweetly sit and he wonders what is bothering her today. She admits there was drama around her brother. Sami flounces toward the pair acting ever so excited about her big wedding day and forces a smile so wide her face almost cracks ... - Jordan and Rafe stir together in his big bed. Last night felt like a dream and they profess their loooove. Jordan admits there are still things to deal with. Shirtless Rafe updates her on Ben explaining the secret keeping on her part was to protect the both of them but why? She makes light of her super sisterness. Rafe suspects she has made sacrifices. She gushes she is glad there was no one she trusted like him. That way they found each other. They kiss again. - Hope and Ciara are with Aiden and Chase at the pub. Giselle the royal socialite with the grand art collection for the silent auction is on her way. Ciara and hew new bff Chase wanna play together. Hope and Aiden approve. - Eric has been summoned to the bishop’s holy office. The high ranking ecclesiastic in the pink cap bears news that is both good and not so good. Eric serenely waits in his seat. - Dan tells his son from the club that he must meet with a very important man. After the phone call, Marlena approaches, most grateful that Dan has decided to meet with the bishop. Dan drawls they will all do their part. Marlena sighs not everyone shares the sentiment. Dan turns and looks at the person she is staring at with disgust. Tis stylish Nicole, getting herself a coffee! Marlena confirms she is refusing to cooperate. Dan notes but she loves Eric. Marlena wishes she could change her mind. But it seems a lost cause on her part. She thanks Dan again and asks him to keep her updated. Then she elegantly exits. Dan walks to Nicole in her colorful dress and breathes Eric needs her! Red lipstick Nicole is still mad at Marlena and huffs she is never helping Eric. Dan leans forward as she drinks her coffee and the moralistic medicine man does not mince words. YOU SELFISH BITCH! - Back in the Ozarks, the diner waitress offers Kate grits. She settles for coffee and hopes this trip will be worth her while. It had better be! Ortiz joins her with a long face and confesses he hit a sort of snag. Diva Kate is not amused. - Stylish socialite Giselle waltzes into the pub and asks after Roman. He is on his way! She boasts of her keen eye for art, her go getter attitude. The aristocrat explains she will allow Aiden and Hope and their silent church auction 5 paintings plus 3 sculptures from her valuable collection. She shows the pictures on her ipad. Hope and Aiden admire. Giselle gets a glimpse of Roman coming through the door and jumps up to greet her naughty tardy man. Roman plays along for the greater good, though there is no denying Giselle's beauty. Hope gives him a thumbs up. They are counting on him! Aiden smiles and wants to talk silent auction but Giselle wants Roman all to herself at their own private table. Hope sighs she hopes Roman will forgive her. Giselle seductively seeks her date's advice on what to wear and shows her gown choices. She flirts and he flirts right back. Marlena walks into the pub, sits at the counter nearby, and picks up a menu ... - His Excellency the bishop confirms Dan will be providing a statement as well as others. However, the key witness - Nicole - is refusing to cooperate. Eric sighs. - Sami insists she is all for Ben being Abigail’s wedding date. That way she will not have to go solo. She makes a casual reference to the girl's last lousy relationship. - Eric laments he is aware of Nicole’s decision and thanks his Excellency for his attempts. The bishop gets personal and suggests he try talking to this woman he was ... close with. Eric does not think she will listen and has decided his fate rests entirely in the hands of the Lord. He has been praying up a storm ... - Nicole snaps Dan should watch his bedside manner. Marlena and Sami have been downright mean to her and Eric would not listen anyway! Dan reminds her how once upon a forgotten time, she found the courage to take action for proof at Chyka’s cabin, where she even put herself in peril. She needs to swear the Chyka papers are legit. Then Eric could be reinstated to the priesthood. Silence. Dan accuses her of not even giving a damn. He does not know this side of Nicole and says so. Why, she lied and deceived and is now not helping because others spoke words she did not want to hear. She snaps to stop judging her. Dan has had enough of her making this about herself! - Rafe and Jordan cuddle under the grey duvet. The big guy assures her they will work stuff out and is sorry he got mad she was so secretive. She did it for him out of love! She thinks the time has come to tell him... Rafe now gets interrupted by a call that surprises him. When? He will be there! He sighs he must leave. Jordan agrees and will use the time to give her brother a heads up. Rafe kisses her and gets out of bed to go shower. She admires the view. - Kate is peeved about the rotten ride and crummy coffee. Ortiz explains his lead came from that photo of Ben. One man knew who he was. Kate wants details. Ortiz frowns had hoped for a meeting this morning but ... - Sami apologizes for mentioning Chad the cad. Abigail gasps it is alright. Sami thinks she could not have seen what a two-faced slime he was. How she hates two-faced people! Abigail anxiously agrees. Sami smiles time to move on and admires the beautiful day. She and EJ are not going to see each other before the ceremony, in keeping with old fashioned tradition. Ben understands. Sami thanks him, graciously hopes he enjoys the wedding, makes a comment about Abigail one day having a wedding of her own, and coos she will see them soon. She turns and walks away, her mouth an angry tight line. - Dan tries to get through to Nicole as a friend. She scoffs she would rather powder her nose and walks off. - Eric enters the pub and mama Marlena says hello. Roman stands up and proudly introduces his son to Giselle. Jealous Giselle sweetly greets both Eric and Marlena and tries to take over. She praises Eric for his possible return to the priesthood, which Marlena will no doubt wish to celebrate, and takes Roman possessively by the arm, purring they hope to see her at the gala! - The pub waitress on duty informs disappointed Hope that the coffee maker is on the blink at the moment. Aiden needs his caffeine fix so Hope offers to do a coffee run to the club. She teases to keep an eye on their kids. Aiden laughs and teases which one? - Sami is leaving a note for papa Roman on his desk. How to begin? She writes she loves daddy and wishes he could have ... She flashes back to the damning pictures of EJ kissing Abigail and imagines what it looked like in action. It is more than Sami can bear. She angrily crumples the note and throws it in a ball across the room, raging about the damn mistakes in her life. The ball narrowly misses Rafe, who has just opened the door... - Hope is happy to run into Dan at the club. He is en route to give his statement to the bishop for Eric. Hope knows all about it from Jen. She also understands the conflict created by Nicole came between him and Jen. Dan does not deny it and laments he and Jen are no longer together. Hope wants him to say it ain't so! Nicole unhappily overhears. - Eric seems to be in full priest mode when at the pub, he praises Aiden for helping the church. Aiden is grateful but confesses he has not been attending mass. Eric heard from Father Luis that Aiden wanted his son to attend the St Luke's school, though he himself is not part of the church. Aiden admits it was as per the wishes of his dying wife that their son get a Catholic education. He gets choked up as Ciara and Chase have fun at their own table nearby. - Ortiz admits the wrong guy showed up and wanted answers. Then he walked. Kate accuses her private investigator of wasting her whole day. All of a sudden, a mountain man with a grizzled beard appears, asking if she happens to be the lady who hired this here fella. Kate confirms she is. - Abigail is anxious about what Sami said but Ben assures her it was not news to him. She had alluded to a failed relationship. He thinks Sami seemed very excited. Abigail softly states Sami has been waiting for this wedding a long time ... - Rafe suggests he can still read Sami. She is hurting and angry. Not a good way to spend what is supposed to be the happiest day of her life. - Dan sighs as Hope says to take care. Nicole approaches and sadly states she overheard he and Jen were through and she is to blame. She is so sorry she hurt the friend who stood by her through thick and thin. Dan blinks back the tears and excuses himself to go meet the bishop. Nicole blinks back her own tears. - Marlena wants to take Roman aside for a chat. Giselle pouts. Aiden gets worried about the gala donation. Eric offers to help and asks Marlena to come for a walk. He will tell her all about the bishop. Giselle happily gets Roman back to her side as Eric ushers his mother out. - The mountain man wants the detective to scram so he does. He calls Kate courageous. Curiosity in the Ozarks killed the cat. Kate explains she is after information and she is willing to pay for it. She shows a picture of Jordan and urges him to tell her what he knows about this woman. Name his price ... - Ben gets a call from Jordan and will see Abigail later. The siblings agree to meet at the park in a few. - Sami whispers she is happy and returns to the note she is now quietly writing. Rafe humors her. She stammers the pen messed up her note is all. Rafe drawls yup, those pens sure ruin a day. He now lets her know he knows exactly what the problem is! Sami stops writing. - Kate knows her mountain man knows the girl in the picture. She repeats she has money. He stands up and walks away without a word. Kate calls after him. No luck. - Happy Ben is with happy Jordan at the park. She has an announcement to make. A big one. - Rafe suspects Sami is upset her folks will not be attending the wedding and chuckles it is cos of the groom! He notices she is not loudly defending EJ like usual and finds it strange. Why the silence??? Sami soap stares. - Hope returns to Aiden's pub table with a couple of coffees. He updates her on their socialite. He now decides to follow her and Roman outside to discuss the gala, happy she is happy. Ciara tells mommy she is going to the kitchen to fetch her and Chase some of Caroline’s cookies. Chase tells Hope his mom’s cookies were the best. Hope sympathetically states he must miss her a great deal. The little lad sighs he does. - His Excellency meets with Dr. Dan and appreciates his effort. However, he was not present when the proof was found soooooo ... - Eric sits Marlena down at the park and teases her for being jealous of Giselle and Roman. The blonde bursts out laughing. It is good to see him smile! Nicole the lonely heart lurks nearby ... - Down in the Ozarks, city slicker Kate is desperate to get her iphone working so she can catch a flight home. A casual bearded man steps up and asks to see the picture. Kate obliges. He now sits and stares, drawling it’s been a looooooooong time. Kate waits. - Jordan sits on a bench in her black and white dress to discuss her black and white existence with brother Ben. She has decided to trust Rafe and will be telling him the whole truth! - Sami pretends she knows Rafe already has his own opinion of EJ so there is no need for a lecture. Rafe muses she has her own opinion too. Sami will only say she knows exactly what she is getting into by marrying EJ and one day he will know too! She walks out, leaving Rafe to wonder what exactly she is up to this time ... - Hope is sorry for Chase and asks the lad what his mommy was like. Aiden has returned and listens. - Marlena informs Eric that she saw Nicole and feels she is the reason she is not helping Eric. She suggests he speak to her. Eric sighs it is not possible. He feels this is God's will and he has no intention of asking Nicole for any assistance. Either she steps up or she does not! - Dan and His Excellency are done. They shake hands and the holy man points out they would still need more. Daniel opens the door to depart. There stands Nicole, her eyes round with remorse ... THE END! |
