Roman grills her when she insists nothing will come between them, sees Lucas and invites him over to the pub bar ... Front seat Chad wants to know what EJ intends to do next. Fire! He walks away and Chad grins as he sips his drink. Designer Tony is delighted ... Sami acts surprised to see Lucas, who leers she is so busy lately. Roman suggests he take a pub seat. Rafe saunters toward Lucas at the square and he complains Gabi made him leave the mansion. Rafe will put in a word, but Lucas claims he likes living over the pub. Rafe is stunned to hear EJ is back to stay at the mansion ... EJ makes light of the latest new DiMera and notes Jake is working late. He plans to depart soon. EJ heard he was with Kate. Jake wonders about the reason for his visit. He came as a courtesy to warn they will oust him ... Kate warns Gabi she will not be able to get Jake back, but Gabi warns her she and Jake were already back together, as she witnessed when she caught them in the act. He acknowledges Lucas’ children with Sami, reminds him his relationship with her is limited, and wonders why he is laughing. Lucas looks ready to enlighten him when Sami comes along in her black dress and demands to know what is happening ... Kate claims she shall stand by Jake so that she can be the one to destroy him! Chad blackmails her with her lack of sight being fake and warns she will get nowhere after he exposes her ... Gabi downplays her words with Kate. Jake is exasperated because he now needs to beg for her vote ... EJ hastily stands up, insists he ran into the gentlemen, and assures Samantha they can speak at home. Once Rafe and Lucas are alone, Rafe sighs they got stuck with the bill and wonders why Lucas is so amused ... Tony ends an appreciative call with Theo, who is officially on their side. He agrees but only if she stays away from them too ... Rafe asks Lucas whether Sami made EJ jealous by admitting how close they had become lately. Lucas lowers his voice and says noooooo ... Sami gets mad at EJ, who denies he was trying to threaten her. She flirts he is bossy and they kiss. Then she climbs the grand staircase like lady of the manor.
