Master tester Julie admires Chanel and Allie’s donuts, which look and smell ideal. The girls wait with bated breath ... Jack wants to know what Steve and Kayla were discussing that included Gwen his daughter’s name. Meanwhile back at Jack’s house, Snyder has keeled over on the Horton sofa! Gwen gasps he is dead and tries CPR. Xander stares in horror. He is not responsible for this death, but it does not look good ... Julie gushes the donuts are perfect and they were made with love. Allie and Chanel are elated. She emotionally thanks them for keeping alive the legacy of Alice Horton. They hug in happiness ... Roman wonders when Abe's next date with lovely lady Paulina will take place. Abe is already ahead in the game, as she invited him in last night ... Lani cannot believe it. Paulina has high praise for dashing Abe. Lani deduces she and her dad are now a thing and is clearly caught off guard ... Roman learns Abe was also with Paulina when the sun came up. He is happy for his friend. Abe admits there was always that spark but helping her made them bond. Alas Lani might not approve ... - Paulina notes Abe is handsome and powerful and she wanted Lani to know since they are family. Lani does not involve herself in his romantic life, but Paulina knows there was not really one for a while. She assures Lani she means a great deal to her, hence her reveal. If she is uneasy with her seeing Abe she will end the affair ... Chanel and Allie start to feel real about their bakery. The Sweet Bits banner is already up at the square too! Chanel takes her hand and tells her they really have something ... Jack hopes Kayla and Steve realize he wants to support Gwen. Steve states Kayla was worried. Jack assumes she is worried she might hurt someone. Kayla is worried that someone might be him ... Xander argues he let Snyder live. Gwen concludes too little too late. Woman in blue Julie comes home, spies the body sprawled on the sofa and gasps ... - Knock knock! And Chanel’s long stare is interrupted by Tripp, whom Allie feeds a delicious donut. He loves it and learns Julie gave them a great review. Tripp teases he might go to work for them. Allie senses a problem at the hospital ... Jack insists Gwen has turned over a new leaf. Steve is happy for him. Kayla asks about the harmony at the house. Jack tells them of the tension between Gwen and Xander, but he spoke to them both. Kayla hopes for harmony. So does Jack before somebody gets killed ... Before Gwen and Xander can stop her, Julie rages at the uninvited sleeping guest on her sofa, pushes him and concludes he is not sleeping ... Roman reminds Abe that Lani is a grown woman. Why does he worry she might be bothered? Abe talks family connection, the fact that his new lover happens to be her mother’s sis. Roman advises him to talk to her about it and teases he would love a little detail ... Lani admits she was caught off guard. She never knew her parents as a couple. Paulina points out they happened long ago. Lani declares she does love dad Abe, who deserves to be happy. She loves Paulina as well and officially accepts their togetherness. Paulina happily hugs her ... Tripp tells the gals about passing something about Snyder to Kayla, who wants him to stay out of the matter. It sounds intense ... - Kayla acts concerned about Gwen and is surprised to hear from Jack that Dr. Snyder came to the house to make sure she was taking her meds ... Julie pouts the guy is passed out! Xander alludes to him drinking too much. Gwen assures her they will take care of it. Julie screams to get drunk buddy out of the house and off her beloved grandmother’s sofa! She storms off ... Abe pays Lani an unexpected visit. About Paulina ... He starts to stammer and Lani giggles. Paulina appears at her side and smiles she already told her they made loooove ... The brownies are almost ready, and Tripp cannot wait to taste. Chanel puts on music so they can dance off some calories. She takes Allie by the hand and they boogie. Then the giddy gals insist Tripp join them. Chanel shows him how it is done ... After Jack has left, Kayla and Steve hope Gwen is not involved in Snyder’s drug ring for he would be devastated ... Gwen hyperventilates. T’was a close call! She disagrees with Xander’s idea to call the cops, fearing Kayla could connect her to the dastardly doc. He agrees and decides to move the body. Gwen realizes he has done this kind of work before. They grab the dead doc only to hear Jack’s voice asking whether anyone is hoooooooome .... - Abe grins as Paulina giggles. They both had the same idea - to seek approval from Lani, who loves them both. She is happy if Paulina makes Abe happy and he is grateful. Paulina departs for a square meeting. Construction is coming! Abe asks her for dinner and she accepts, calling him Mr. Mayor. Lani loves seeing her formidable father so happy and they hug ... Jack has the mail in his hand when he comes across the strange sight of Xander and Gwen watching cartoons together. He wants to join them, but Gwen screams no (cos Snyder’s body is under the blanket that seems to cover only their feet) ... Steve and Kayla are determined to discover the secret link between Gwen and Snyder ... Jack soap stares as Xander argues the show is almost ova. Gwen agrees it should be seen from the start. Jack is pleased they are getting along and innocently asks Xander to pass him the letter opener. Xander does and Jack leaves the room. The partners in crime jump up and try to move the body but Gwen is struggling ... Tripp liked the donuts, but gets excited about the best brownie he has ever tasted. He assures giggling Chanel and Allie they will make a mint ... Lani is sorry she has nothing to drink at home but Abe already had a beer with pal Roman at the pub. They talked about Paulina. Lani agrees her aunt is a great catch. Abe asks if she is really alright. She is in favor for they are both wonderful people ... Meanwhile Paulina sees the Sweet Bits sign at the square and starts to sweat. She feels guilty as soap sin about the real square plans - for a monster building.
