There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Rafe whispers to Jordan to ignore her vibrating phone and murmurs he is off duty, tenderly kissing her on the bed. It is daylight and they are fully dressed. He hastily neutralizes his own phone and wants to make the world go away. Jordan has no complaints. More kissing ensues. - At the station, scene stealing Gabi has just announced she killed Nick. Sami's mouth hangs open. Enter the D.A. lady, demanding answers. EJ urges his client not to speak, not to utter anotha single world. Sonny and Will stare in stunned silence. Lucas frowns. EJ arrogantly announces that effective immediately, Gabi is his client. The dumbfounded D.A. notes there are two confessors now? EJ asks Hope for her proof. She will have it soon. He requests some alone time with his client. The room clears as Gabi promises Will she would not have let him take the blame for her. He advises her to trust in EJ, for this matter is not exactly black and white, and exits with Sonny, Sami and Lucas. EJ sits with a sigh and tries to be upbeat about helping the girl. But Gabi is not smiling. She knows the severity of her crime ... - At Horton house, Jen is thinking. The girl in the pink suit remembers approaching Eric and wonders whether she did the right thing. Meanwhile Eric is glaring daggers at Nicole by the church. She senses a change. Was it due to Daniel? He gasps no. Then what has him this upset? Maybe he can enlighten her in the car. Nicole is met with a stony silence and starts to panic. Eric ominously suggests they help Dan, since as per her claim, he has been acting crazy. She stammers they cannot help. He suggests then they talk to Jen. She disagrees with that too. They can solve this on their own, Dan and Jen. Eric is not even blinking and warns he has no intention of going anywhere with her now! Nicole takes his hand and praises him for wanting to help the whole world. Eric finds her reaction to Dan loving her and hiding it from Jen odd and says as much. She asks him to trust her. Been there, done that! He refers to her pressuring him to take this trip. She thought he wanted it too. He gasps he wanted much he has lost. She sighs he has lost her. He agrees he has indeed lost her and snaps how she could have done this to him! - Jordan teases Rafe for his slow undressing skills and he teases it is therapeutic. They kiss again and she gushes how happy she is to have answered the call to come to Salem, no matter how far north it is. Rafe decides he needs more practice and continues to seductively disrobe her, then kisses her again. So goes their afternoon delight ... - Will wants his baby. Lucas explains Hope said she was with the social worker. Will is worried how hard it was for Gabi to hand over the baby. Sonny is stunned she actually killed Nick. Sami and Lucas suddenly realize Will had no idea Gabi was the killer. Then who was he protecting? Sonny announces it was HIM! Sami thinks this is a very valuable lesson. Sonny gushes he has the bravest husband and the husbands emotionally embrace. - Gabi insists to EJ that Will lied when he confessed. SHE is the one who shot Nick dead! EJ urges her to fight like hell regardless and offers to help. Wot did she tell Detective Hope? That she killed Nick, but without all the details. EJ sighs and considers his angle. She was traumatized by Fallon and felt compelled to confront him ... Gabi does not want someone else to get blamed. She repeats she killed Nick and adds she wanted him dead. It is simple enough. EJ is exasperated. Gabi gasps she did this to protect her daughter. Nick wanted to take her baby away from those who loved her the most. EJ now deduces Nick had threatened Gabi and daughta. Gabi explains he threatened to send her to prison. EJ wants to use that. Gabi loudly disagrees. She cannot let Sami and Kate and perhaps Wilson also risk imprisonment. Nick had the goods on her and that is why she had to get him before he got her! Thus, she must take full responsibility for her actions. She shot and killed a man and needs to go to jail. EJ places a hand on hers and sympathetically states at least let him use her confession in a manner that would get her the best plea deal possible. He hopes she can place that much trust in him ... - Will is free to go. Lucas and Sami offer to stay for Gabi and insist Will and Sonny head home with the tired baby. And so they do. Will is sorry for Hope's loss. Hope is sorry too. Sami wonders whether she told Rafe. Hope sighs she got his voice mail. Sami fears his sister being a murdered will be too much for poor Rafe to bear. Meanwhile Jordan and Rafe are making love in bed, oblivious to the drama swirling around the world outside ... - Nicole stands in front of a statue of the Virgin Mary while Eric accuses her of inventing the lie of Daniel loving her in an attempt to discredit him. He rages to stop the crazy lying! Nicole asks who spoke to him. Jennifer, who overheard her argument with Dan today and she heard everything! This is Nicole’s chance to come clean and explain herself. So says Eric the good. Pause. - Girl in pink Jen cannot reach Dan via his voice mail and considers heading to the hospital. But before she can, Marlena arrives to talk Eric. Jen stares. She wonders when Marlena last spoke with her son ... - Gabi stares at the picture of her daughter on her phone. EJ comes back with Hope and the D.A. The time has come to take her statement. And so it begins ... She once overheard Nick telling Sonny that if Gabi did not choose him, she would wind up in prison. The D.A. asks how he could send her to prison. EJ tries to stop Gabi, but the crime she confesses to is the kidnapping of Melanie via Andrew the loon. Nick blackmailed her with that information to take away the baby from everyone. She could not let her daughter be exposed to someone like him! Hope gets tense. This is a side of Nick she knew not, given her own busy existence ... - Sami is sneaking a peek at a police file when Lucas comes back to Hope's office. Sami smoothly returns the file and informs him Hope is busy taking Gabi's confession with EJ. Lucas managed to see the baby, who is doing well. They are both concerned this is the day she is losing her mother for good ... - Rafe and Jordan cuddle in bed and the shirtless rogue teases his little flight risk. She reminds him they still have the now, then admits she was wrong to sound so dismal. She is doing her very best to have a real relationship. He drawls he is here to stay for his lady love. They continue kissing and she smiles. - Jen asks how Eric seemed. Happy and mama Marlena could not hope for more! But he also asked her to watch out for Jen, which was rather baffling. Jen blinks, then admits she and Eric are friends. Marlena understands. Jen praises the former priest as a thoughtful man, one who helps. Marlena smiles that has always been the case. Her Eric is a joyous presence and she will miss him something awful. Jen thinks she need not worry. She suspects he will be sticking around Salem after all is said and done ... - In the church garden, surrounded by holy statues, Nicole nervously touches her engagement ring. Eric accuses her of spinning and deceiving. She denies it. He brings up the basics. She had evidence in hand that would have exonerated his holy self but chose to destroy it! He rages at her to explain. She gasps yes she did, then claims it was complex. She describes finding the Chyka proof and planning to tell him. He gasps but she never did. She points out he cut her off with news of his choice of her over the church. After his soul searching with Brother Tim at the monastery, he was convinced he had had an epiphany. Eric remembers. Nicole cries she could not lose him, she could not let go. - Marlena tells Jen that Eric and Nicole were about to board a plane ... Ring ring! Duty calls! Jen woefully asks her to give Eric her very best. - The D.A. had been led to believe, as per Will, that only he and Sonny were aware of the gun in the closet. Gabi explains she overheard their conversation and therefore knew about the gun. Once they left, she got a terrible text about the custody court date Nick had arranged. He wanted to take her baby away from her father! - Eric peers as Nicole cries how she was about to tell him the truth but they kept getting closer to being a happy couple. It was harder and harder so she decided to destroy that pesky proof. Then Liam came across it and blackmailed her to cease investigating him. Dan found the proof on Smith Island. Eric gasps Jen could have died and Dan got shot! He accuses her of risking the lives of the innocents to save herself and her big lie ... - As they stand up and kiss each other, Jordan thanks Rafe for changing her whole life. - Back at the apartment, Will cuddles and admires his alert baby girl. Sonny smiles at the tender scene. Will assures his daughter they are here to stay for her! She glances over at Sonny, who nods. - Gabi tells the tale of Nick claiming he had wonderful news. Hope wonders why she was scared to meet him. She cries he already tried to attack her once, before he went to New York. He would not be able to take NO for an answer. That was why she armed herself with the gun. She flashes back to screwing on the silencer and hiding it in her diaper bag. When she arrived at the dark park, Nick was speaking with someone on his phone. She fired her first shot from the path. He turned around, stared at her in shock, and bang bang! Finally silence. Gabi cries and explains she ran to the square but even half-dead, Nick was unstoppable! He followed her all the way to the square, where he collapsed! The D.A. asks about the gun. Gabi cries she went home and placed it back in the closet. The D.A. deduces she was thinking clearly. Gabi breaks down about still seeing Nick day and night in her mind. Hope tries to keep it together. Gabi gasps he did not see it coming, he did not realize he left her no choice. It was the only way ... - Sonny gets off the phone. Will has put the baby to bed and asks what he found out. That Gabi needs to be processed by the police so they cannot see her now. Will admits he cannot do this alone. Sonny assures him he is here to stay and they both agree that from this moment on, there shall be no assumptions. Sonny calls him a romantic fool and they hold each other close ... - For the record, Gabi confirms to the D.A. that she did shoot Nick dead. - Sami runs into Jordan and Rafe at the town square. She loudly blurts out how sorry she is and throws her arms around a bewildered Rafe ... - The D.A, declares she will have the whole confession transcribed for the confessor to sign soon. Legal eagle EJ stands and adds along with the details of the plea agreement. The D.A dragon lady thanks Hope for her hard work and suggests justice would be served one day if EJ DiMera were in the seat of the accused. Exit the dragon lady. EJ urges Hope not to be influenced by that comment. Gabi wails she is sorry, she wishes it could have been different. She knows there was some good in him. Hope sighs Nick did not deserve to die and walks out. Sympathetic EJ asks wot he can get Gabi. She has one request - to hold her baby and never let go! However, she realizes it is not a part of the plea deal. She will be Iocked away in prison and will never see Arianna again! EJ can only watch helplessly as she continues to fall to pieces. - Jen is desperately seeking Dan at the hospital but the medicine man is still in surgery ... - Eric accuses Nicole of almost getting people killed. She moans all she ever wanted was to looooooove him. He turns and coldly claims this has nothing whatsoever to do with love, his eyes filled with the fury he is feeling. Nicole gives him a sad look, but gets no pity from the priest betrayed ... THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Sami and Jordan butt heads. Nicole ain't too proud to beg. |
