There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Jen cannot believe Eric and Nicole are actually eloping. She realizes that was why Eric resigned at her house. JJ suspects they will not be back. Jen gasps it was a goodbye! But why did they not tell their good friends Dan and Jen this? JJ points out Dan was pretty bothered about it too. Very bothered, in fact ... - Eric sits among his holy statues, a happy clueless man. Marlena appears in her yellow spring jacket like a burst of spring sunshine and notes her son seems to be deep in thought. He grins this meeting is no coincidence. Things are about to change in his life and he seems to think it is the Lord's will. Marlena lets him know she accepts his wish to wed Nicole. If she makes him happy, then so be it! He hopes she will keep this a secret but ... he and Nicole intend to elope today! Marlena stares in horror. - Nicole tries desperately to get rid of Dan at her door. There is no more to say! He says like hell! He demands to know her and Eric’s reason for fleeing Salem. She claims they need peace and quiet. He drawls he knows they are planning to elope in Vegas but he is going to stop that right here right now! He knows for a fact that she did not tell Eric the truth. He would never consent to go to Vegas with her if she had! Nicole alludes to an entirely different scenario, blaming Dan for all of the tension. Dan wonders how Eric is feeling. Was he not in the least bit angry about what she had done?! He sarcastically offers to call and congratulate him on the impending wedding. Nicole snaps NO, for this is private and they will not be stopped! According to her, there is nothing Dan can do. Dan stares darkly like he knows better .... - Gabi is thwarted from leaving by Hope. She is here at the apartment on official police business and she is not smiling. Gabi pleasantly invites her inside, Hope wants to know where she was headed. To the park. Hope somberly updates her on Will's confession. She cannot help but notice the girl is not surprised and wants to get confirmation concerning some things Will had told the police. Gabi is strangely relaxed with the baby in her arms. Eerie music plays as she asks about Will and wonders whether he has a lawyer yet. Hope knows not, though EJ wants to stop him from signing that confession. If he does sign, then all is lost, his life as he knows it is over ... - Lucas arrives at the station, as Hope had summoned him. Abe is present with with long-faced Sonny, who laments it is about Will. Lucas is upset once he has learned of his intent to confess. Sonny continues to insist Will is innocent. He is a lousy liar and cannot even make a straight poker face! Lucas agrees with his stressed out son-in-law. If Will was the killer, they would have seen it on his face. - Will is about to sign the confession in the room at the station. Unshaven suited EJ stops him and promises William they can fight and overcome but not if he signs this. Then all is lost! Will considers. EJ promises all his resources too. Will would rather take responsibility and says so. Lawyer EJ drawls then he should think of his loved ones and be responsible for their sake! Sami seconds the motion. EJ reminds him Nick irked many. Sami reminds him many of them wanted Nick dead too! EJ warns him his life is over if he signs. Will laments better him than someone else and notes Lucas was arrested cos he has a criminal record all because of him! Enough! When Abe appears announcing Lucas' arrival, Will refuses to see him. He wants to be alone! Sami and EJ have their final say. Sami whispers to Will that Lucas was proud of the sacrifice he made for his son. He owes him at the very least a conversation! - Marlena gasps, then politely offers to have a party for Eric and Nicole She now finds out he plans to flee Salem for good. However, he claims he has no reason to run away. He has even forgiven his mother for what happened at the wedding and for not liking Nicole. She gets choked up that he might be gone for years like before. He places his arm around her and mama Marlena tries to be strong. Easier said than done. The tears flow and she asks why? why? - Dan deduces Nicole never told Eric any of her sordid truth. She snaps to go to hell. He gets out his phone and threatens to ask him how he feels about it! Nicole freezes in fear. She attempts to snatch his phone but cannot. She laments she could not bring herself to hurt Eric and face his eyes. That is why she did not admit to him that she had destroyed the evidence that could reinstate him as a priest! Dan drawls then she said NO-THING to Eric! However, he definitely felt Eric wanted to say something to him before Roman interrupted. Nicole feebly states it matters not. Dan will not let it go. Nicole now woefully admits she lied that Dan was in love with her. Dan looks at her like she has two heads. - Will eventually agrees to see papa Lucas but wants the tag team of Sami and EJ to just go. EJ places the unsigned confession in his briefcase. Will threatens to get another copy. EJ instructs him not to sign anything without his attorney reading it first! Sami again encourages Will to do the right thing and walks out. Lucas walks in and father and son share an emotional embrace. EJ and Sami are met with the sight of upset Sonny in the other room. He is desperate to see Will! EJ drawls William cannot see him now and asks about the gun. Sonny fills him in on Vic offering him the Jakarta job, since he assumed Sonny shot Nick with the collector's gun. Sami asks if he did do it. - Lucas whispers he loves his son and nothing can change that. Will understands the sentiment now that he too is a father. - Hope admires the pretty baby and Gabi gushes Will got her this very dress. Arianna is excited by the attention. Gabi marvels how she has changed and grown. Hope notes not everything changes. Gabi recalls how her mother said the same. She wonders whether Ari will keep on waking up with wiggly feet when she grows up. Hope notes it is not easy to let one's baby go. The two women seem to have been having a most dramatic discussion that was not shown ... - Will is shocked when Lucas shares how he ventured to the dark park to shoot Nick, but as luck would have it, someone else beat him to it. Will lies that he did it and defiantly declares he is stepping up this time! - Eric downplays the distance that was once between him and the family and asks his mother to take care of Sami and also be there for Jennifer. Marlena blinks. What on earth is the matter with Jennifer ...? - Dan blasts Nicole for her crazy lying. He is hurt as hell that she would have said anything about him to Eric to save her own sorry skin. Nicole argues her case before Dan the judge and jury. Eric was her true love and she blew it years back. Then she had a second chance and he himself knows she fought to clear his name tirelessly, to stop his torture. By the time she had the Chyka proof, Eric had chosen her over the church. Dan and nervous Nicole fail to notice the small shadow outside the door. It belongs to Jennifer, who can hear every single word! Meanwhile the drama continues. Nicole insists Eric wants her. Dan peers at her with disgust and pity as she tries to justify her actions. She concludes Eric is happy. The medicine man questions whether she is. She begs him to keep his silence. Dan does not think this will go away. He offers to escort her to Eric so that she can tell him everything herself. He will even let them speak alone. She laments why is he doing this? Because he cares about his friends! She reminds him that he himself has lied to protect people. He snaps it is not the same! Matter of fact, he is protecting HER now before her lies blow up in her face again. If she does not do as suggested, then he will tell Eric. Dan now asks where he is ... - In the holy garden Eric explains the Smith Island drama was hard for Jen as well as Nicole. He assures mama Marlena he knows she has always loved him unconditionally. She cries even when he was halfway around the world. They embrace. - Will thanks Lucas for trying to protect him but this is best. Lucas exclaims what about Sonny, who loves him and would do anything for him! Will admits he would do anything for him as well. Meanwhile, Sonny tells Sami how deep is his love for Will. He would never ever let him go to prison for him! Sami gasps she is sorry, she is scared for her son. So is sad Sonny and they hug each other for support. - Will is suddenly elusive with Lucas but admits if he does not step up, some people will pay. Lucas does not get it. Will decides the matter is done ... - EJ learns from Sonny that both he and Will placed the gun in the closet. EJ asks when he next saw it. Silence. EJ repeats the question. Sami soap stares as Sonny admits it was when he came home. EJ again repeats the question. Sonny elaborates. It was actually when he came home and Will was holding it ... - Despite despising EJ, Lucas urges his son to heed his words and fight this! Will has had quite enough and says so. He opens the door and calls for the guard to ask Abe to bring him his confession. He wants to sign! - Back at the apartment, Gabi fusses and gushes over her cute baby. She will be her little girl forever. No matter what, she wants her to remember! Hope explains she has to send a forensics team to the apartment. Gabi calmly claims there is no need. She just wants to spend as much time as possible with her daughter. Hope is sympathetic and suggests they go. Exit Gabi with baby and Hope. Gabi tells her daughter she will get to see her daddy now. She is strangely calm, though Hope's eyes are haunted. - Marlena shows up at Horton house and informs JJ she is searching for Jen. It is about Eric ... - Nicole informs Dan that Eric is at the church. Dan starts for the church but news of a car pileup and a summons to the ER thwart his plans. Nicole promises to tell Eric herself. He warns her he will check, gasps it is better like this, and departs. Nicole hangs her head and cries like a woman who has lost the love of her life. She woefully makes the call ... Eric answers amid the holy statues in the church garden. He calls her the love of his life and promises he is coming so they can get married. Nicole’s strained silence fills the air. Eric wonders what happened. She suddenly snaps Daniel has lost his mind. Eric hopes he did not try anything! Nicole will come and explain. She is on her way! However, Jen gets there first and advises Eric to listen carefully to the scandalous story she has to tell him ... - Abe enters with an extra copy of the confession. Will decidedly sits down to sign. Sami and EJ burst in. Sonny is there too. He emotionally implores him not to do it! - Jen is flabbergasted when she returns home and JJ informs her Marlena dropped by to discuss Eric. She now seems to be doubting her decision. - Eric stands numbly before Jesus in the garden. Nicole arrives out of breath, gasping they have to leave earlier than planned He does not move when she takes his hand, but gives her an icy stare. - Will threatens to throw his loved ones out. Abe explains he waived his right to council. EJ and Sami are at a loss. The DA smugly states they can be witnesses so Abe ushers him out. Sonny places his hand on his husband's shoulder and begs him not to, Just then Hope enters with Gabi, who drops a quiet bombshell on Will seconds before he sacrifices himself. She knows he did not kill Nick because SHE DID IT! She calmly looks him in the eye as the gang soap stare in stunned silence ... THE END! |
