Theo senses something. Back at the station Abe and Hope are appalled by what they see instead of scanned family photos. There are Theo and Claire in all their glory. Abe gasps my God! Hope stammers. Abe wants to know what is going on. Hope wants answers from Theo and Claire ... Eli and Lani have gone in their own direction on the lost island. JJ is searching with Sonny, who refuses to believe he should not approach Paul. Sweaty JJ warns him they will have to defend anyone he attacks. Sweaty Sonny refuses to accept it ... Chad has his loaded gun and helps Gabi sit down. Her ankle prevents her from helping with the search. He wants to talk about this thing between them and grins ... At the Salem square Jade complains to Joey about her lousy luck in life ... Steve visits Adrienne and assures her the team are searching with all their resources. She wants to join in but he wants her to think of her own welfare. Sonny would want that. She cries how much her son has helped her and breaks down about her baby. Steve hugs his sister ... JJ assures Sonny he would rather not react with force but Paul could kill them all. He is cursed with dangerous jungle fever! Sonny has heard enough and goes his own way despite JJ's protests ... Chad bandages the bad ankle as Gabi babbles about what is between them, where they go from here. Chad admits his love for Abigail is real albeit complex but she is moving on. Gabi wonders what if she changes her mind. Chad is all about the now and smoothly states now they are here on the island with this something. Gabi gushes and agrees ... Adrienne thanks Steve for all his support. He is sympathetic. She wants to hear something else so he tells her he has made headway with Tripp. In addition he intends to confront the creep who is trying to take over her paper - in New York City ASAP. Adrienne feels a bit better. Big brother assures her Sonny will be home soon and she weeps as they hug again ... Joey wonders. Jade complains she could not even get a job at the yogurt shop she knows so well. Joey gives her a pep talk but she has no career plan or cash for college now that Kayla cut her off. Joey will be back soon with something ... Claire gets a clear from Theo on her computer. She insists she wants to check against his. He will get it back when his dad is done. Knock knock! Here come hurricane Hope and Abe, who state they saw the video. Theo has no idea what is happening. Claire looks guilty as soap sin ... Joey surprises Jade with her favorite sundae with sprinkles. She is touched. He insists ice cream is better than yogurt. He points out he is proud she did not take advantage of brother Tripp and is taking responsibility trying to make her own living. He gives her a pep talk about not giving up that makes her feel better ... Theo is baffled. Abe tells him about the home movie he found in his trash. Hope snaps it could have ended up on social media. Claire denies doing it. Hope gives her a dark stare. Claire gasps she did know about it though. Theo has no idea so Abe enlightens him on the filmed passion of the pair ... On the island resourceful Sonny finally finds Paul, who has a knife and is hallucinating. He feels strange and screams something is wrong. Sonny wants to help him but Paul gasps no one can ... Gabi gushes she always has Chad on her mind but what if it does not work. Chad dismisses the doubt and she declares she loves him. He loves her too and she grabs him in a kiss. Is it really love or just castaway confusion?! Back in Salem Jade appreciates being around Joey. She will try for financial aid at school and wonders whether he could get her a job at the pub. Joey would rather not. She assumes he still loves her and cannot handle it ... Theo thinks Abe and Hope must be mistaken. Abe knows what he saw and wants Claire to explain. She assures him she did not record them. It was not her. Theo gets upset and takes off. Abe goes after his autistic son. Hope stops Claire from following and demands the whole story. She assumes she was about to put it on social media for fame. Claire swears it was not her who did it! Outside the apartment, Abe tells Theo he realizes he did not have any hand in it. However, he had no idea they had taken their relationship to the next level. Theo thinks he knows why Claire recorded them ... Jumpy JJ interrupts Chad and Gabi kissing cos he needs help. Sonny took off to find Paul by the rocky cliffs alone. Chad wants to go after him with his gun. JJ will keep an eye on Gabi. After Chad goes, JJ questions his ex on being with Chad. She is ready to take a chance. JJ respects Abigail's choice to end her marriage and hopes Gabi is sure. She is ... Paul laments to Sonny he is so confused. Sonny states he is sick but must prove he is not a threat. Paul thinks he is a threat as he blanks out and has no control. Sonny reaches out and Paul grabs him in a choke hold, his knife pressed like he is ready to kill him. Sonny protests "Paul!" By the pretty flowers Jade accuses Joey's parents of coming between them. Joey thinks she is wrong but she refuses to listen. Now she looks at another text from Claire ... Hope sits Claire down for the whole truth. Claire starts with Jade's crazy idea that she refused but then she went and did it without her consent or knowledge. Hope is exasperated by all the copies that were made. Claire cries and begs her to believe her. She is no cheap goods, she just wants to make them proud. Hope hugs her and does believe her. Claire implores her to have her IT people make certain it is gone from Theo's computer cos she does not want her folks to find out ... Theo feels Claire went too far for fame and goes back inside when Hope emerges. Abe mutters what a mess. Hope seconds the notion ... Steve is shoved into an alley by a security guard since he had no appointment with Sebastian in New York. If at first you can't succeed ... Nothing stops Steve ... Sonny tells Paul they can fight this illness together. He says please and lets him know how much he loves him. Paul holds the knife to his jaw. Sonny states he loves his kindness and promises it will be alright. Paul pauses but then Chad leaps into the sandy scene with his gun aimed. Sonny shouts not to shoot him ... Claire denies to Theo that she made the video. It was Jade. Theo shakes his head so she swears and enlightens him. She insists she deleted the copies as she could. This was not what she wanted and she gave no consent. Theo thinks he knows better. He refers to her hunger for fame and admits it is hard to believe her ... Hope returns to Abe with good news from IT. The video is gone for good! She hopes Claire learned her lesson and Theo ... Abe insists he knew nothing about it. Hope agrees and adds Claire would not have done it. According to her the producer was Jade. Abe angrily nods ... Chad orders Paul to step away from Sonny. JJ arrives with his gun and Gabi. Sonny promises Paul they will leave them alone and it will be alright. But Paul tightens his holds and hisses at the posse to put down the guns. Otherwise he will kill his hostage! Sonny lets out a tragic cry ... Steve is IN the office of Sebastian Howard and starts to search. There is nothing personal on his desk. Angelica Deveraux - now played by Morgan Fairchild - greets him with a sarcastic smile. Feels like old times ... Claire laments Theo thinks she is lying. He sighs they had something wonderful but she went and ruined it. Enter Jade and Joey. Claire screams at Jade to tell Theo the truth about the tape ... The island boys put their guns down. Gabi pleads. Paul shoves Sonny aside and she gasps in horror when he hits his head against a rock. Paul flails his knife to keep Chad and JJ at bay. Sonny seems to be unconscious. There is blood on the rock where his handsome head fell ... END! |
