She wonders about that video, then wonders just how desperate she sounds ... At the station Theo pays Abe a visit with scanned family photos. They discuss the missing. Alas no news on Lani to report. Abe wants to keep the faith. He informs Theo he heard that Ciara left Salem. Theo blames himself ... Coffee drinking Kate pours alcohol in her mug and demands Andre come downstairs. He appears in his bathrobe but she wants a wedding answer as they have only two hours to stop the board. She wants to wed him and she wants an answer already. Andre is worried about his brotha. Kate counters all he can do is wait for word and make sure he keeps the company in the family for Chad. Most of the board will break up DiMera and reap the rewards. Andre scoffs about Shin the traitor. It gets worse. Kate warns him he waged a smear campaign so no one is on his side. The clock is ticking. Andre senses he is sunk. Kate insists she could win over the board so make her a DiMera. Together they can ensure Chad has a family legacy to live for. She sends the reluctant groom upstairs to get dressed ... Eric and Brady are waiting to hear what will happen to Nicole ... The lady judge lists Nicole's transgressions. Justin and Chloe are present. No prison is in the works as she did time served. Nicole gets a hefty fine plus community service. She hugs Chloe in thanks. Nicole now wants to talk more to Chloe her good friend. Justin wants her signature first. He suggests she take a step back so as not to spook her. Nicole refuses to let the Holly ruling go cos she and Brady are a family with Holly and Tate. They did not get this far for nothing ... Hope arrives at the loft for some things Ciara left. Claire complains she misses her and seems a little lost. No one can give her the same good advice. Hope wonders. She sighs some say she needs attention to get her music noticed. Hope suggests she let the music speak. Claire should focus more on music than image. Claire is after crowds around the world. She believes she is more worldly than others in Salem like her friends who spend their summers flipping burgers. Hope laughs as Salemites are anything but ordinary! Claire wants fame. She wants to live forever. Hope lets her know that fame is a fleeting fair weather friend ... Theo shares his Ciara angst with Abe the good listener. He comes clean about the suitor he set her up with but it backfired. Abe assumes her anger will not last. Theo hangs his head and notes it is hard as she still loves him ... Nicole realizes Justin is right and thanks Chloe for coming. Nicole now finds out it was in fact ERIC who convinced Chloe to speak at her sentencing. She looks away ... Andre and Kate toast to their coupledom. He just happens to have a prenup ready and presents it for her signature. In fact he has many copies in his closet. He muses fatha married almost as many times as he died. Kate snaps no s-e-x. He demands respect and she rings for British Butler Harold. There seems to be no love lost between the bride and groom. Harold sarcastically hopes he at least gets the bouquet. Andre and Kate smile wickedly ... Chloe confirms that Eric made her see the light. The two women are glad to be friends. Nicole gushes she is grateful again and asks Chloe to allow her to see her daughter. She is sleeping. Chloe obliges for a moment so Nicole stares into the bassinet. Chloe decides the time has come to depart. Nicole now cries on Justin's sympathetic shoulder ... Abe questions Theo on who he loves. Theo insists he is in love only with Claire. Abe suggests his son not get serious as they are too young. Theo tells him he is hopelessly devoted to Claire these days ... Hope encourages Claire to keep on composing and being committed to her music. Don't sweat the fame but appreciate family and friends. Claire wants to be a star. Hope makes her see she would never give up her singing and compositions even without stardom. No more worries about hits on her songs! They embrace and helpful Hope takes her leave. Claire leans against the door with a diva sigh ... Back in his room Brady complains to Eric that Deimos is to blame for what happened to Nicole. He should be the one locked up! Nicole waltzes in with a smile and an embrace. Free at last. Eric looks highly emotional but remains silent ... Kate takes Andre to see her lady judge contact, who questions her quickie wedding request. Andre and Kate both fib furiously. After all they need to be wed to keep DiMera in the DiMera family - something they fail to mention. Instead they focus on the fact that they get along famously. Still the judge seems to have her doubts so Kate "convinces" her with a promise of campaign support. The ceremony begins. Harold makes a catty comment ... Chloe and fancy Nancy are happy to have Holly in her room for Parker ... Even though Eric was instrumental in helping Nicole is quite curt. She claims it changes nothing though she is grateful. Eric understands and exits. Salem patient Brady believes she should not be so hard on him. He risked his life and brought her back to him ... Parker the sage questions Chloe on having Holly, whom he assumed would be going home to Nicole, where she rightfully belongs ... Nicole now wants to focus on keeping Brady out of prison. Perhaps he will be able to avoid it as she did and they will have their happily ever after. He sits up and they hug ... Soulful Claire sings her new song alone, feeling the music. Then she spies the camera on the counter from Jade and erases the video ... Elegant Andre and Kate are officially getting married! Andre mutters a most amused I do. Kate seconds the notion and notes the money will keep coming in. The judge starts to say they may kiss but Kate cuts her off and snaps at witness Harold to sign ... Redhead Nancy feels Chloe should do the right thing as Deimos is not even in the story anymore. Holly no longer needs her protection, she should be with her mama ... Kate and Andre race off to shake up Shin the traitor et al with their wedding license. The judge is relieved to be rid of them ... Theo returns to the loft and new improved Claire apologizes for her fame obsession. That was then this is now. Once he steps into his room she calls Jade and explains she erased the last copy that was on that camera. WHAT she gasps in horror at the girl's reply ... And so it came to pass that DiMera remained in the DiMera family. Afterwards, Kate the new Mrs. DiMera celebrates at the cafe with her Mr. DiMera and champagne. Andre wishes there were would be word from his missing brotha. Kate assures him DiMeras have nine lives. They toast to new beginnings. Justin is aghast to overhear the two anti-heroes are now man and wife. He dramatically declares tis the end! Andre clinks his glass and cackles it is the beginning ... Nancy warns Chloe that Nicole will never stop trying to get her daughter back. Meanwhile Brady is already noting to Nicole they might get a Holly miracle ... As it turns out the last copy of the tape is on Theo's computer in the trash. Claire rages at Jade and ends the call. Theo emerges and she innocently asks to borrow his laptop. He left it at the station with family photos for Abe. Back at the station, Abe wants to get his mind off Lani being missing. All they can do is wait. He decides to show Hope a photo of Theo with Lexie but accidentally deletes it. Hope tells him to look in the trash. He does. That is where he and Hope get an eyeful of Theo and Claire making out. Hope stares at the screen with her mouth wide open. Abe looks away in dismay ... END! |
