There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Stressed Sami has summoned Kate to the square for an update. She wants to know all about Gabi. Kate suggests a private place. They walk off together, unaware that Marlena has spotted them! She silently follows them to the park, where they openly recall the roaring river the night they tossed Nick in and left him to die. Sami complains to diva Kate that Gabi went and told her mother everything! - At Hope's office, Julie's red jacket is vibrant, though her humor is not as cheerful. She is irate that Hope took so long to let her know Gabi was Nick's murderer! She was the girl he loved and she loved him too! Hope explains not exactly. Julie refuses to speak ill of the dead and demands a meeting with the girl. Meanwhile suited lawyer EJ is meeting client Gabi to inform her of the plea deal arranged with the D.A. It shall be a done deal soon. He needs her signature and opens the file so she can read her sentence agreed to by the D.A. Gabi is somewhat surprised it is not for life. EJ points out there is also parole possibility. She asks if she should accept and stares numbly. EJ talks trial. She suspects it would be long if she went that route. EJ warns the prosecution would gather information and present it to the jury. That means the D.A, after some digging, could subpoena Chad and Mel, who would testify about the tunnels before the explosion. Gabi realizes the jury could end up blaming her for the entire Salem explosion! EJ tells her to take her time but until she signs, they are not out of the woods. The D.A. could change her mind on a dime ... The door opens. Detective Hope announces a visitor. Julie Williams. EJ stands up and emphatically voices his disagreement. Absolutely not! - Outside the club, JJ is down but not out. He jumps back up and punches Cole, who now falls. Paige wants the fighting to end. Cole gets back up and runs away. Paige protests when JJ wants to go after the troublemaker and JJ protests when she wants to call the cops. - Eric arrives at Horton house, having wanted to speak with Jen face to face, She is so sorry that Nicole broke his noble heart. He shows her the Chyka papers, which prove he was the victim of Kristen DiMera's diabolical scheme. He is saddened about Nicole but overwhelmed at the prospect of being cleared. He gasps how could Nicole do this to him, then slams down the papers, growling she claimed to love him! He shoves the papers back in the file and lists all victims, including the parish and the parishioners. He hopes this will restore the reputation of the church, in addition to his reputation. Jen is curious. If the new information is proof enough, does he plan to return to life as a priest at St. Luke's? - Nicole rages she should have killed Dan when she had her chance. Dan holds her wrists and tries to calm her. She struggles and cries and still he holds her. Nicole cries like a baby and finally falls onto the couch crying. Dan closes the door and she laments why? Why did he ruin her chance at happiness? Dan gives her a sympathetic stare. Red-faced Nicole cries he was not her friend like she thought. She does not trust easily and look what he did to her! She admits she is hurting and seems to feel betrayed. Dan blinks. - Sami sounds like a veritable villainess as she and Kate casually discuss the night they threw Nick in the river. Sami complains her mom is aware they attempted to cover up a "murder." Kate concedes that could be an issue. They hear a sound and turn around, only to find Marlena giving them both an accusing look. Kate and Sami jump up. Kate greets her with a smile and covers, explaining she was planning to call her. Silence. Sami calls that her mother’s high and almighty look. Kate gets sarcastic. Marlena wonders whether they were entertained by shoving Nick in the river. Kate calls the situation for Gabi tough. Marlena is highly suspicious of Kate's motives and notes they led Gabi to do the unthinkable. She feels Sami displayed very poor judgment. Kate quips Marlena had even worse judgment, given that sex tape she showed in church! - EJ is absolutely positively opposed to Julie speaking with his client. But Gabi insists on inviting her in via Hope. Gabi's reasoning is that Julie must be hurting. She will not hide from Nick's loved ones. Enter the Julie and she wants EJ out of the room stat. EJ grimaces. - JJ claims he does not want his mother to go through anything unpleasant again. He would rather his family not even learn he ran into creepy Cole. Paige noticed he hit his head when he fell. JJ claims he is just fine so no hospital. Paige wants him to at least come with her. - Dan sits on the sofa arm and patiently explains his position to Nicole. He gave her the chance to tell Eric the truth and yet she chose not to. She must have known it would blow up in her face. So why did she not tell him? She woefully replies she did not get her chance to tell Eric on her own time. Jennifer is responsible! - Eric is a man without a plan, a man without answers. He is grateful Jen enlightened him. She wonders about the status of his relationship with Nicole. Pause. - Marlena becomes indignant. She and Victor were trying to save Eric from that dreadful DiMera she devil! Sami is quick to point out that Kate was the one who wanted them to drop Nick in the river, plus she made sure she could not call the cops! Kate retorts Sami said Nick was dead. Marlena calls them a couple of clowns and demands a word alone with her daughter. Kate threatens to make Marlena lose her license if she dares to leak any of their secret. Marlena laughs at that as Kate waltzes off, her head held high. Sami snaps she already knows what her mother is going to say! - EJ grudgingly leaves the room. JuIie vs. Gabi is off the record. Hope remains. Gabi gasps she understands how Julie feels. Julie thinks that is nervy. Gabi gasps she must hate her. - Eric repeats he has no answers. Jen admits Nicole was nice to her but Nicole has trust issues. She does not take well to being attacked by others and she would consider what Jen did a direct attack! Eric seems to agree with the assessment. - Dan insists if not Jen, then he would have told Eric the truth. Nicole did not tell him. She thinks there was still the possibility she would have and ominously alludes to Jen robbing her of said chance. Nicole now bitterly states Dan is dead to her. Both he and Jen are! But make no mistake, she is not giving up on Eric! Exit Nicole. Dan grimaces. - EJ sits at Kate's club table as she enjoys a martini and asks about her Chicago biz trip. She talks Mad World but EJ knows betta. He knows for a fact she went to the windy city just to see fatha! - Marlena asks Sami just what she assumes she was thinking. That Sami screwed up yet again. She starts to sarcastically list her victims, from Austin to Lucas. Marlena would rather not go back in time or criticize. Her only complaint is that her daughter is too impulsive. Sami feels sorry for herself and cries she knows when her life changed for the worse. Marlena sighs so she is still to blame?! - Julie has just delivered one dead Nick to his family. Can Gabi imagine how it felt? Gabi laments as a mom she can. Julie exclaims she could see she cared for him at the hospital so why kill him? Hope watches and waits in the wings. Gabi cries because she could not bear it any longer! - At the dark park, Cole meets Bev, who blasts him for the botched mission. He promises to try again and succeed next time. Paige calls him a loser and leaves him standing alone. - At her house, Paige the future physician has her first aid box open. She urges the petulant patient to sit beside her and he does. - Dan arrives at Horton house and gives Jen a hearty hug. He missed her. She assumes he understands why she told Eric. Dan does, he assumes it was due to the fact that he was busy in the OR. Jen admits she did not know at the time. She overheard Dan and Nicole arguing and went to tell Eric right away as he deserved to know the whole truth! She did not believe for a second that Nicole would have told Eric any truth. That is why she did what she did. Dan disagrees. But Jen is convinced hellcat Nicole would have kept Eric far away from Salem and their calls forever. Dan disagrees again. - On his phone outside the pub, Eric explains to grandma Caroline that his plans changed so she can take the night off. He woefully enters the pub, turns on the lights, and sits at a table. The pub is closed and he is all alone. He takes a closer look at the once shredded Chyka papers. Enter Nicole. She stammers they need to discuss much. Eric snaps no more lies, no more excuses. However, there is something that needs to be said and it is about that engagement ring she is wearing. He demands it back and orders her to remove it right here right now! - EJ wonders wot happened to Kate’s anti-Stefano stance. She implies she has not gotten back with his father and reminds him that he and Sami have been on and off numerous times. They are not the only ones who can change ... She now lets it slip that Stefano wants EJ and Sami to postpone their wedding, though she herself is dead set against it!. Sami back in the DiMera sphere of things would be a colossal mistake! - Sami sadly apologizes for the low blow. Marlena is understanding. Sami realizes Marlena was trying to save Eric when she played that video. She likens the situation to herself and Kate trying to save Will. - Julie gets herself worked into a frenzy. Nick had only love and worship for Gabi! Gabi gasps Nick only wanted to own her and it was suffocating, Julie wonders why she did not tell him to take a step back. He would not have listened and he wanted to take Arianna away from Will and Sonny, that's why! Julie bitterly notes so she shot him dead instead. Gabi sighs she is sorry. Hope walks Julie to the door. Before she goes, Julie hisses she hopes Gabi hates herself for the rest of her life! Once alone, Gabi takes another look at the plea agreement which is still hanging by a thread .... - Back in her office, Hope admits she did not think Nick deserved to die. However, he did have those emotional issues and ostracized many around him. Julie realizes he made enemies but refuses to accept he was not sincere about changing. In her mind, Gabi does not deserve a second chance since she robbed him of his! - EJ wonders wot suddenly happened to change Kate's mind about Samantha. Kate complains about Marlena discovering their deep dark secret, and Sami's attempt to pin it on her. She warns EJ not to forget that his fiancee has a history of throwing people under the bus and takes her elegant leave. EJ soap stares. - Marlena regrets Sami did not think to confide in her. Sami defensively snaps she would only have judged and condemned her. Marlena quietly walks away. Hothead Sami storms off in her own direction. - Paige and JJ get closer on the couch and start to kiss. She removes his shirt. More kissing. Shirtless JJ proceeds to unbutton her blouse.They are oblivious to the world around them. Perhaps they shouldn't be ... - Bev comes back to Cole at the park and apologizes. Cole admits he feels like a loser. Bev points out Paige did not know what he was up to so all is not lost. There still could be another way to break up the young lovers she loathes ... - Dan declares he would have told Eric after Nicole had her chance. He adds he hopes Jen believes him! Silence. - Nicole flat out refuses to remove her engagement ring. She thinks she knows what Eric really wants and intends to wear it forever ...! THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Dan gets upset with Jen. EJ worries wot Kate and Stefano might do next! |
