Lucas notes it could not have been easy writing about JJ's arrest. He believes in his innocence and admits he has a good lawyer. Adrienne giggles he praised Justin. Lucas now gets a call from Billie, horrified to hear that his mother married Andre DiMera ... Chad looks down at a picture and remembers Abigail. Gabi enters and he puts it away. The kids are asleep. They have not had much time alone together and Gabi recalls they were supposed to have a romantic evening the night of the party ... At the station Jen sadly states she knows JJ did not do it. Justin lists the possible arguments in his defense. Deimos was a producer and dealer of illegal drugs ... but JJ is starting to think he killed him ... At the Kiriakis mansion Sonny is convinced he killed Deimos. He confesses to Paul he fought with him and has a foggy memory of standing over his knifed body. That must mean he did it … Gabi gets a text from checking in Dario. She is disappointed having hoped for good news about JJ. Chad can see she still cares for him ... Abigail admits to Jen and JJ she too is confused about that night. JJ spies the wedding ring and gets sarcastic upon hearing she wed dodgy Dario ... Paul tries to talk Sonny out of believing he did it. He wants him to go back to the beginning. Sonny remembers their argument, how upstairs they struggled and Deimos snatched his amulet. Then he was downstairs with dead Deimos. Paul wants to know if he remembers stabbing him, having a knife. He does not. Paul points out then he would have the amulet. Sonny suspects he hid it somewhere. He plans to take responsibility to help JJ. Paul woefully realizes he is right to come forward. However, someone else has entered the room. Victor growls and disagrees, solemnly demanding a word alone with Sonny ... At the club, Kate wants to toast to the demise of Deimos. Andre giggles and they toast their martinis. They elegantly discuss what to have for dinner. He points out they are perfectly compatible. A lucky thing she was not widowed by Deimos! Kate coos she would have dirty money and wears black well. She swallows an olive. Lucas arrives, aghast Austin was right about what she did! Kate hates his tie. Lucas snaps she has sunk lower than Stefano. Andre coos he could neva take daddy's place. Kate agrees and drinks up. Lucas grimaces ... Abigail explains there was no reason to wait with her wedding. JJ is harsh. Jen admits she knew in advance from Abe but hates how she did it. Abigail insists they are in love. Jen decides the time has come for them to have a talk ... Stylish Gabi argues to Chad that she and JJ were drugged when they danced together! Chad accepts that. She wonders whether he believes he did kill Deimos. The baby cries. Gabi hugs Chad and excuses herself on a few errands. Chad considers calling Abigail on his cell phone ... Lucas thinks Kate is acting like a loon. She sighs it is a business decision and explains. After 6 months Chad will be able to take over and they will be able to end the marriage. Lucas calls it humiliating. Catty Kate lists his own humiliating unions. Red tie Andre orders two more martinis and alludes to being like his daddy ... Outside Jen is shocked that even Gabi and Chad got to see her daughter's wedding. She questions the timing even if she was trying to help Dario stay in the USA. Abigail asks for her support. Jen does wish for her happiness but ... They hug and Abigail assures her Justin will save JJ. Jen kisses her and leaves. Abigail now finds herself face to face with Chad, who notes she is not on her honeymoon. He starts to stammer he wanted to talk to her. About the night they renewed their vows and kissed and ... Abigail soap stares ... Adrienne arrives at the Kiriakis mansion asking for Sonny. The living room door is closed. Paul tells her he is talking to Victor and they should not interrupt ... Victor looks at Sonny from his armchair and announces Paul is right. There is nothing to prove that he did it. Sonny admits he wanted him dead. The patriarch points out they all did. Besides he is to blame for his own death given he drugged everyone. He warns Sonny not to destroy his parents and their family. That way Deimos will have won! He implores him not to let him down as the future of their family is at stake. Sonny is totally torn ... Lucas thinks Andre is the devil. Kate coos she could profit. Andre agrees. Lucas is livid she wed a man who beat him up in drag! He storms away and Andre suggests he take her son camping for a drowning. They will be a happy family by Thanksgiving! Kate reminds him then they will divorce. She ushers him away for their interview with Country Club monthly ... Adrienne enters looking for Sonny. Victor replies he went to the garden for some air. Paul has been summoned to the station. Adrienne steps away for a phone call... Victor brings up the fact that Paul loves Sonny. He sternly suggests he forget what he said. Paul gets it ... Justin assures JJ the charges will not stick. Gabi arrives as he exits. She had to come to offer her help! She even got Marlena to hypnotize her but she remembered nothing. JJ notes it might be for the best that they do not remember the details of that night ... Chad asks Abigail if she remembers. She does not but is sure they stopped kissing before ... The flashback of going after Deimos returns to Chad and he goes silent. Abigail gets worried and wonders what he just remembered ... Kate and Andre have coffee as the interviewer asks if they give each other advice on all decisions. Andre teases his business acumen intimidates, Kate who counters all he has is his name. They get catty and the interviewer notes they are newlyweds. Kate smiles and spins they are the face of modern marriage. Andre suppresses a sigh ... Gabi insists she will always care about JJ even though he is with Lani ... Chad and Abigail remember together, that he told her to remain in the room but she ran ahead after Deimos. Chad gave chase and lost her. Abigail knows not what happened then and asks if they should inform the police. Chad peers at her ... Meanwhile Sonny has returned to the scene of the murder to jog his memory. He remembers Paul's words and what Victor had to say about it. He starts to sweat ... Paul and Justin are at the station with Jen and Adrienne, who praises JJ's strong character. JJ comes out with Gabi and thanks them for the support. Raines now questions Paul in his office. He is aware he is the only one who was not drugged that night and would like to know what he remembers. Paul soap stares ... Kate refuses to play the background wife as the interviewer snaps pictures of the happy couple. They make snide remarks and Andre hopes they will make the magazine cover ... Paul suspiciously replies to Raines he did not see the murder. Raines announces they have enough to prosecute JJ. Paul stares him down and asks if he has enough for the actual truth ... Chad finds Gabi at the station when he arrives with Abigail. Raines emerges and Chad admits they remembered that they saw Deimos in the hall and might have gone after him. Chad tells Gabi after he gives his statement they can go talk somewhere together. She gets a bad feeling ... Back at DiMera mansion Andre muses they are a formidable couple. Kate reminds him they are a business arrangement. Andre teases she is going to fall in love with him and she teases him for his fantasy life. He pulls her to her feet and she insists she is in charge on all levels in this relationship. He chuckles it will neva happen and they dance together, no music necessary ... At the square, Chad updates Gabi on his vows renewal with Abigail at the time they were on halo, which ended in a kiss. Gabi nods and admits she noticed the lipstick on his collar. But she was with JJ. Chad insists the kiss meant nothing and they agree to forget about it ... JJ paces and Paul tries to be positive about people remembering more. Adrienne agrees. Justin insists no one even has a clue who really killed Deimos. All of a sudden Sonny sweeps into the station declaring he did it! Raines raises his head from his desk ... BOOM! |
