Hope is close to tears ... Eric is writing at his desk when he remembers confessing to Nicole he did something bad that fateful night. Back to the now. Nicole walks in and wonders ... Lani feels bad for JJ at the station. JJ laments Deimos left his DNA under his fingernails. Eli insists he not jump to conclusions. Lani gets another idea how to help ... Stressed Sonny ends a call and faces Paul. He laments JJ has been charged with murder. Paul is sympathetic but not surprised. Sonny remembers standing over dead Deimos. Paul perceives he is torn. Sonny thinks things changed now that JJ has been accused. He admits he is not certain what happened. Paul is sorry about his cousin and concludes any one of the drugged guests could have killed Deimos. Any one of them ... Rafe puts away the ring. Hope repeats her need for closure with what Deimos did to Bo. Rafe reasons Deimos is dead but Hope still needs something. She knows not what and stops him from walking away. She loves him! Rafe loves her back and saunters off in his sorrow ... Eric fibs he was focusing on the center and asks about Holly. No news but her mom misses her. She vows to get her back. They discuss the Marton house disaster. Nicole blurts out she is relieved Deimos is dead and now notices Eric's demeanor. He sighs he has had a memory ... of Daniel. She has too and it is vague. Eric adds he recalled more. He was there, Dan was, and told him to live a good life after he apologized. Nicole notes he asked her to forgive Eric as well. She asks what came next. Eric cannot remember. She deduces it was the drugs but holy Eric is a believer. Nicole sits at her desk, determined to forget that night ... Brady enters the Kiriakis living room and blasts Sonny for the mess he had to clean up for him! His mass firings to be exact. Sonny did not want Deimos' people. Brady warns him it was termination without cause for most and he is dealing with lawyers. Sonny talks like the big boss so Brady advises him to handle the situation. One more thing. He will not let him run Titan into the ground! Sonny growls he had better do his job and he will do his! Paul watches as both Kiriakis heirs butt heads ... At the square Marlena the vision in beige can see Hope is distracted. Hope giggles Rafe popped the question. Marlena asks if it upset her. No but she was not expecting it and has yet to respond. Marlena politely listens. Hope admits she was tongue tied and fears she might have ruined their relationship ... Dejected detective Rafe joins JJ, Eli, and Lani and wonders where lawyer Justin is. JJ assures him he is fine with his friends. Lani announces she will ask Marlena to hypnotize her. Rafe notes Raines wants all guests hypnotized. Eli warns JJ it would be bad if she remembered something that could hurt his case but JJ wants to know regardless. Rafe gives the brave young man a solemn stare ... Marlena probes Hope on her worry. Hope notes Rafe also proposed when they were drugged. Marlena points out they are both believers in the institution of marriage. Hope admits Aiden made her fear getting married again. Marlena the helper advises her to consider her needs and wants and take it from there. She is now summoned to the station and offers to listen again should Hope need any advice. Hope thanks her and raises an eyebrow ... Sonny sternly tells Brady he will make sure he is not bothered by HR again. He steps away. Brady now admits to Paul he knows he was unreasonably hard on Sonny. His stress comes from the night at the Marton house. Paul argues but he was not even there ... Eric broaches the sensitive subject of forgiveness with Nicole .. Hope and her coffee run into Julie, who wonders why she is not wearing her engagement ring. Rafe was sent on a wild goose chase to get the support of the men of the clan. Hope is impressed ... Eric wonders whether Nicole will ever be able to forgive him. She gets choked up and he apologizes for asking her. She goes out back for paper for the printer. Eric now gets a visit from a man who called after he saw his brochure. He came to Salem recently for some work down at the docks but it did not work out. He suffers from PTSD and seeks a job still. He has a green thumb. Eric asks him his situation. He has been staying at a shelter and insists he wants to get back on his feet, find some work. Then he breaks down and cries about his lot in life. Violins play. Eric assures him he will ask his friend at the V.A. to set him up and asks him to do some landscaping for the center. Nicole watches as Eric hands him a cash advance. She smiles. The man thanks him through his tears. Eric thanks him for his service to his country. Nicole agrees as he leaves. She knows they do not need landscaping and the center is low on funds. She realizes Eric will pay the man from his own pocket. Eric makes light of it ... Brady asks brother Paul how he feels these days. Paul is fine and praises Marlena for helping him. He notes she is available for all of them. Brady notes things are going to get harder for all of them. Paul praises Sonny as a good guy who will do the right thing. Sonny sadly listens ... Marlena prepares to put Lani under hypnosis. It is about last night. JJ, Rafe and Eli listen as Lani remembers seeing JJ struggle with Deimos. She was unable to help so she took off and came across Eli in the garage. They got locked in together. A lady with a dog heard them making noise and set them free. She suddenly remembers another detail ... The name of the dog was noodle. JJ is disappointed. Marlena asks about when she left the garage, what she saw. Lani gets anxious and admits she is confused. Marlena brings her back as she hyperventilates. Strange music plays. Lani realizes she remembered the garage and the dog and wishes there was more. Rafe and Eli insist the dog and owner could be a lead so all is not lost. Rafe sees Marlena out ... Hope sits by the Horton plaque with Julie and admits she is at a loss. She needs time to decide. Julie reminds her she and Rafe are in love and are friends - a rare thing indeed! She wonders why the hesitation. Hope admits she is unsure marriage would be right for her at this point after all the mistakes she made in the past. Julie can relate as she and Doug were not without drama but in the end marrying was the best decision! She knows Bo wanted her to be loved and reasons Rafe is great with her kids. She tells her to seize the day, seize her life and be with a man she loves. Violins play ... Rafe rejoins Lani and JJ. The owner of the dog is Mrs. Garland, a neighbor. Lani wonders what she noticed. A light in in the garage for a long time, between around 8 pm and midnight, both times when she walked her pooch. There were noises coming from the garage. Around midnight she looked and Lani and Eli were locked inside. JJ notes then Lani is in the clear as Deimos was killed during that time. She is baffled about the timeline when she saw JJ struggle with Deimos. JJ glumly hopes his story will not get any worse ... Back at the Kiriakis mansion Sonny and sympathetic Paul discuss his disagreement with Brady. Sonny admits Brady was right as he has been far too distracted since that fateful night ... Brady arrives for Nicole at the center. They kiss and she goes to get one more item for boss Eric. Brady accuses Eric of making her work late. Eric assumes he is really bothered by the fact that they woke up in bed together. Brady does not deny it. Eric adds it should be a consolation that Nicole cannot stand him. Stubborn Brady states it is no consolation and gives him a cold hard stare ... Hope and unhappy Rafe meet in the park again. She announces she loves him with her whole heart. He looks sad. She asks him to marry her and smiles. Rafe dares to smile as well. He gets down on his knee, takes out his ring and repeats his proposal. She exclaims yes and he slips the ring on her finger. They seal the deal with a soap kiss and he lifts her up in jubilation ... Brady enters the Kiriakis mansion with Nicole, who wonders about his silence. She insists her drugged kiss with Eric meant nothing. Possessive Brady now gives her a passionate kiss of his own ... Paul worriedly wonders what really has Sonny so bothered. Tormented Sonny woefully whispers he believes he was the one who killed Deimos! END |
