There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... - Billionaire heir Brady is dressed for success at the house of Kiriakis, though his drunken stupor is giving him more memory lapses. He gets a reply to his mysterious text to a Hong Kong contact. Brady does not recall what he said while out of it and wonders what to write. Maggie interrupts his confusion with a cheery good morning. She assumes he is still attending those addict meetings! Brady admits he tried one but it did not feel ... right. She notices his bloodshot eyes and accuses him of being hung over again. Theresa walks in making catty fun of a family figurine. Maggie wonders why she is even here, keeping him company. Girl in red Theresa smiles smugly. Brady admits he is late but anxious to get to work. Maggie asks for a moment alone. Theresa smugly steps out. Brady tries to explain. Maggie is most miffed he did not take the addicts meeting seriously. Brady begs to differ. The one thing that was said in the meeting which he took to heart was that one needs to remove the bad influences. Like John, who has been hounding Theresa. He flashes back to their last confrontation and Theresa listens at the door in delight. She hopes he blames poor papa John for everything! Brady boasts to his bewildered sponsor that he has seen the light. John was the only problem in his life and he has everything else under control! The redhead retorts he is still boozing it up and THAT is the problem! He goes from drinks to drugs every day now! She accuses the addict of binging and forgetting. Theresa gets miffed at the door. The redhead is on a roll and reminds him his forgotten business texts will catch up with him. Brady continues to blast John. Maggie screams he is to blame for his addiction. Theresa storms in and slyly sides with her billionaire heir. She knows it is in her best interest to isolate him, after all ... - At the town square, diva Kate is on her phone, dreadfully disappointed about Stefano's supposed arrest warrant waiting in Salem. She bids him ciao, then turns to find herself facing a grinning CLYDE. He thanks her for the meetin'. She agrees his kids will be thrilled to see him. Clyde quips not as thrilled as him! He clearly has that missing money on his mind, but makes no mention of that detail to Kate. They sit at the outdoor café with coffees and he claims to be concerned about the reunion. What to say to his long lost kids, especially Ollie, aka Ben, his abducted little boy. Kate sympathizes. He drawls thanks to her, that wrong from way back when is finally gonna be made right! He wonders where he might be able to find his elusive offspring. Clyde is not interested in their work places that much, he is after home addresses. Kate only has Jordan's and jots it down. Clyde innocently asks her not to tell them he is in town until he has spoken with them first. Kate's red lips are sealed. He thanks ma'm and agrees to do as she asks, that he not mention her name in any of this. Kate now wishes him good luck and goes on her diva way. Clyde is mighty grateful for everything ... - Jordan is watching Rafe as he sleeps in bed and flashes back to his promise that nothing she said could change their happily ever after. She has a bad feeling. - Nicole is on her phone at the pub with pushy producer Miles. She exclaims she could have the hot lead of a lifetime! Enter Eric the sweaty jogging contact. Nicole wants to talk to him all about Sami’s jailed hubby EJ! Nicole wants an exclusive and to know everything. Eric gasps why would he tell her anything? Nicole reasons she can do damage control for his twin sister and her illustrious husband. Eric gasps he is not even in the know. In addition, he doubts Nicole would be in Sami or EJ's corner. Nicole notes she would be if things were different. He scoffs it seems she will never change. - Visitor Sami plays the role of the faithful wife to perfection at EJ's prison cell. She acts agitated he cannot make bail and has not heard from his father. She thinks he is being slighted and will not be able to attend the board meeting either. EJ, however, is cocky about having his presence felt at said meeting. Today, in fact! Sami crinkles her nose in confusion. EJ condescendingly explains. He is giving power of attorney to someone he trusts. Justin? No, not to a Kiriakis. The only person he trusts is HER, his wife. Sami cannot believe her good fortune. - Jordan's ringing phone wakes up shirtless Rafe and he sighs he fell asleep while she was watching TV with Arthur the cat. She gushes she looooooves waking up with him and that he is here. They cuddle and say sweet nothings. He kisses her and suggests their talk can wait. The couple get hot and heavy under the sheets again, oblivious to the world outside. - Sami goes over the contents of the folder from EJ, who insists she vote his shares. She acts insecure. He reminds her she made a profit for the company after Kristen’s mess and is certainly worthy. Sami claims she is worried about Stefano’s reaction. EJ explains she need only vote at this point. Nothing else changes. Stefano and Kate will not shut them out of the empire! Sami plays along. Kate must have been the mastermind! - Eric scoffs at Nicole for not caring and for trying to use what happened to his sister to hound him again. Nicole confesses she had indeed wanted to speak with him, to find out the status of his case, now that she testified on his behalf. He gasps there is still nothing to report. She insists she only wanted to do right by him but he questions that. The Nicole he knows has no pure motives. - The notary public summoned to the jail has arranged for Sami to have EJ’s proxy as well as power of attorney. Sami has been instructed to vote EJ’s shares AND take control of DiMera Enterprises! Sami plays it cool. EJ promises he will get out and protect their futures. He misses her and the kids and wishes her the best of luck at the board meeting. She coos he can count on her and goes off to do battle. But first she has one more important stop ... - Theresa is indignant about Maggie’s verbal attack on her billionaire heir. She supports his claim that John is the real problem. Why she has witnessed how he treats his son! The redhead retorts she has it all wrong. Theresa snaps they are both sick of sanctimonious people judging them. Maggie is disgusted by her eavesdropping. Brady decides that he has had enough. Exit the redhead. Brady suggests he and Theresa take breakfast later than planned. First there is something that requires his immediate attention. Theresa sulks. - Eric drinks his bottled water like a casual jogger and accuses Nicole of always having an angle. They cannot even be friends after what she pulled. Not ever! With that, he heads for his room, Nicole walks out with her yellow clutch purse, to take matters into her own hands ... - Sami meets with Kate at the park. Kate cackles about Stefano turning around his jet upon being tipped off there was a warrant for his arrest waiting in Salem. Sami is gleeful. She has control of EJ’s shares and Kate has Stefano’s! PAUSE. - Maggie is a vision in her white suit at the square, but she has much melodrama on her mind and does not watch where she is going. She bumps into casual Eric. He sees the depth of her upset and offers to lend a supportive ear, for some emotional healing. Maggie sighs that she is so worried about a loved one sliding back to the land of the lost. Eric is very sorry. - Theresa presses Brady to breakfast with her as planned, since she did take the morning off. He solemnly states he needs space for this problem and offers to have a car brought around. She opts to walk instead and departs. Brady now makes a few changes to the proposal he was sent from Hong Kong and places a hasty call to ... "John Black!" John is breakfasting when he answers the phone in hs usual cool manner. - After the loving, Jordan has no time to talk to Rafe as he gets an important work text. He has been summoned to the station. She agrees what she wants to tell him can wait a wee longer. They will meet up after work. Rafe goes to shower after a few kisses and she enjoys the view. Then she sighs. - Sami suddenly realizes Kate does not actually have Stefano's shares yet and starts to overreact. Kate insists she WILL have them shortly. Sami rages she cannot let her cheating bastard husband's thug father have any power to use against them. If they do not have Stefano's shares, the plan is as good as dead! - Nicole waltzes up to EJ's cell and teases karma is a beech. Elvis is not amused. Nicole takes it all in stride, being no stranger to prison herself. She even knows some of the guards by name. He wonders WOT she wants. She points out they made their peace after what they did to one another. He suspects she is gloating. She announces she is here to help. EJ chuckles. She thinks he is in no position to refuse her offer of help but he wonders what is in it for her, given she has never been an altruistic creature. She muses she does also want to help herself ... - John has been summoned to the ornate house of Kiriakis to meet with his wayward son. His eyes are filled with hope as he breathes it was a surprise to hear from him. Brady declares he wants to end the fighting. How about a fresh start? John emotionally gasps he is all for it. Brady adds he has an idea, a peace proposal. John waits with bated breath ... - Maggie decides it would not be appropriate for her to reveal the details about an AA meeting or member or once member. She now asks Eric how he fares and is sympathetic about the Nicole situation. The fallen father would rather focus on the future. Theresa arrives in time to see Maggie hug him and walk away. Theresa now storms over, but realizes Maggie was not trashing her as she had suspected. She acts sweet and supportive about his own sad situation, but reminds Eric she DID warn him about that wicked Nicole. Eric soap stares. - Sami obsesses about the plan. Kate explains Stefano has many contacts, though she is confident he will want her as his proxy! Stefano now calls from his jet and elegantly orders her to be free in a few hours. He wishes to sign over his shares to Katarina so she can replace him at the board meeting. Kate repeats his words so Sami can hear them. Sami is relieved. Stefano now has some specific instructions that do not get repeated .... Kate agrees. She knows just how that vote should go and afterwards, she will be on her way to join him. She ends the call and quips in his dreams! Sami is excited again and dances around. But Kate gives her a stony stare. There is one more thing to settle ... - Clyde lurks like a stalker and stares as Jordan traipses through the flowery park, holding hands with her guy Rafe. Rafe promises at the end of this beautiful today, they will talk. They stop and smooch in the sunshine. Clyde silently stares in the distance as sinister music plays. - Brady presents John with the proposal and suggests a new business partnership between Basic Black and Titan. John is intrested until he reads it. Then he frowns. Brady meets his unhappy gaze with a cold, hard stare, his eyes as hollow as an addict ... - Eric stops Theresa from trashing Nicole and explains she does not know her. But Theresa tells him someone likes that cannot change! - EJ gets sarcastic about Nicole's self-motivation. She points out she can tell his side of the story on the news. In return, she will have the exclusive to help her career. She can send some sympathy his way via TV and do damage control with the poor PR he now has on social media. She gets the scoop and he gets a supporter. She now asks who was responsible for bringing him down. Does he even know? EJ snaps he knows exactly who did this to him and make no mistake, they will not get away with it! Nicole is intrigued. - Sami is a wreck again. Kate lets her rant for a few minutes, then points at her with a long red nail. She knows Sami promised she would benefit from the plan and so ...She now hands her a document itemizing exactly what she expects in return, icily admitting she does not trust her. Sami reads it and looks ready to weep - or explode! THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Sami plays her cards right. Clyde now sees Ben with Jordan! |
