She appreciates he caught her dosage error and explains how it bothers her she could have harmed Hope. Tripp becomes quiet. Kayla excuses herself and he approaches her ipad again remembering his mischief. Jade calls and he gasps he could have killed someone ... At the pub Roman greets Eric with a warm hug, hoping he is over Deimos' drugs. Eric admits he made a mistake with Nicole ... After the July 4 parade, Brady and Nicole take Tate to the square. Brady assures her Maggie said the family Holly was placed with was nice and Maggie is able to see her. Now to talk of the party where she was drugged by Deimos ... Chad the accidental wedding crasher questions the wisdom of what Abigail and Dario are about to do ... Tripp tells Jade he has not forgotten what Kayla did to his mom and mutters just one more time. Then he glances around and gets back to the ipad. A few taps and he is done. Kayla returns and suggests they head to the pub since the big bbq is starting. Then there will be firework watching at the square ... Roman worries Eric slept with Nicole. Eric explains they only fell asleep together and agreed to keep it from everyone including Brady ... Nicole laments to Brady that she only remembers a big blur about that night they were drugged. Brady is relieved Deimos is gone for good, given anything could have happened ... Chad gets angry about the insensitive timing and waits for Abigail to say something. Enter Gabi. She too would like to know what is happening here ... Chef Steve is wearing an apron with a kissy message outside the pub so Kayla kisses him. He speaks of the freedom to eat. Tripp promises to eat his fair share. Steve tells Tripp to shadow the pie master. Kayla flounces off to get it ready ... Brady notes Nicole used to love Deimos. She denies it and admits his loyalty was appealing when she was alone, but it was not love. No one could love such a monster! Brady gets back to their present and promises no one will come between them. He kisses her and she looks sad ... Abe watches as Gabi gets her confirmation this is a wedding. She is offended she did not get an invite. Chad wants answers. Dario declares it was a quick decision. Abigail claims she wanted something good for a change. Gabi decides not to stop them since they are in love. Chad is peeved Abigail is now Dario's puppet. Gabi is happy for the pair. Chad stares suspiciously and refuses to leave when Gabi suggests as much. Something is off. Of that he is certain ... Inside the pub grill sidekick Joey chuckles at the sight of Tripp peeling apples. The Johnsons are fans of the holidays. Tripp notes Ava was not. Joey would rather not ruin the holidays but Tripp is intrigued. Eerie music plays. Joey admits Ava befriended him pretending to want to make things up to his parents by helping them reconcile. All the while she was using him to destroy them. They could have been killed. He alludes to Steve having no choice. Tripp senses he is hiding more and presses him ... Nicole is distracted and tells Brady she should get some sleep. Brady believes it will help her get her memory back. Nicole remembers waking up in bed with Eric, in no hurry to remember more ... Chad refuses to leave. Dario and Abigail get back to it. Gabi is asked to take pictures as Chad gets sarcastic. Abe asks Abigail to repeat she takes Dario to be her lawfully wedded husband. Chad eyes her and she raises her head, determined to do as promised for pal Dario ... Joey solemnly states it is best to leave well alone about Ava. Tripp does so Joey welcomes him to the family. Steve watches with a tear in his eye ... Brady and Nicole have hot dogs at the square. Eric appears and she excuses herself to get Tate another snack. Brady wants a word with his brother about last night. He already spoke to Nicole. Eric is relieved and says too much. Brady wants to know what happened ... And so it came to pass that anxious Abigail and deportation-fearing Dario were wed ... Chad imagined stopping the wedding with a declaration of love but did not do it. Dario kisses his bride. Gabi snaps a picture. Chad cannot bring himself to look ... Back at the pub Steve appreciate the restaurant assistance from Roman and suggests something more. Roman grins he likes the simple life. Steve talks action and helping the world. They could use a consultant like him at Black Patch ... until he is ready to get back into the game. Roman agrees they can talk after they eat. Abe, Kayla and the boys are present. Plates are passed around ... Eric informs Brady it meant nothing. Brady wonders what meant nothing. Nicole returns and Brady shares that Eric has some memories about last night. Eric feels his are foggy. Nicole felt it was a blur. Brady presses for details. Nicole wandered into Eric's room. Brady waits. She admits she later woke up with him and that is all she can remember. Brady now looks like he has been slapped ... Chad stares into space and Dario hopes they will be able to get along. Chad gets testy when he mentions Thomas and tells him he will have nothing to do with him! Abigail appears and begs to differ. Chad does not like the sound of anyone other than him looking after his son. Abigail asks why he even came. He grumbles he was going to say something to her but that was then this is now. He sarcastically congratulates her and walks away. Abigail's eyes widen with angst. She glances at her ring and then thanks Gabi for coming. Gabi wants to go speak to Chad. Abigail has to go tell Jen. Dario stands at the bar and gushes he got married. Gabi wonders why the hurry. He opens the champagne and Gabi asks about the rush. He sighs it was the right time. He does love Abigail and hopes for a big wedding one day. Gabi goes to deal with Chad and tells Dario to be with his bride. He steps away ... Brady slowly states they woke up together. Nicole insists they had clothes on. Eric explains they passed out. Brady decides he trusts them both, hugs Eric a Happy 4th, and they leave to take Tate home. Eric woefully watches ... Kayla's pie is enjoyed at the pub and Joey teases Tripp the sous chef. Tripp gets a call and steps outside from the family festivities. Tis Jade again. He is starting to have second thoughts about hurting the Johnsons. Kayla seems so nice! He suggests they call off the whole plan. Tripp likes being part of the friendly fam ... Alas Kayla has to head back to the hospital as the administrator wants to see her. She tells Steve as Tripp stands by. Steve wishes she would be able to stay for the fireworks ... Alone with Brady, Nicole assures him she loves him and their life. The moment with Eric meant nothing. He kisses her ... Dario slow dances to lazy jazz with his new wife. She takes their pic to post online for immigration. Dario hands her a glass of champagne and makes his first married toast. He is grateful she helped him stay in this country which is his home and promises to be a good husband and father to Thomas. He toasts to America and his new wife. She toasts to her new husband and they drink up ... At DiMera mansion Gabi wants to discuss the day with Chad. He would rather not dwell on the past and takes her in his arms, referring to her as the future. Time for a big bbq outside. They kiss and he tries to hide his heartbreak ... END! |
