Tripp ends an enthusiastic call with Steve. Claire enters and he gushes his dad got his sight back crystal clear. She hugs him and Ciara hobbles in, watching the pair ... Steve loves seeing sweetness again and thanks her for believing. They kiss in bliss ... Victor pays off his flunky and orders him out of town fast lest the child welfare worker he paid off points the finger. They are getting too close. Maggie walks in and innocently wonders who his new friend is. Meanwhile Jen shares her belief with Brady that Victor was the man who paid the person who planted the drugs ... Eve needs to sit on the park bench as her load is heavy and exclaims at whoever is asleep there not to use it all. Ben sits up and she gasps in soap horror. She picks up her fallen phone and ends her call. Scary music plays. She knew she would see his cold eyes again one day! Ben wishes he could speak to her. She reminds him he murdered her daughter so he decides to go. Not so fast cos Eve has something to say. Ben starts to sweat ... Brady seeks proof. Jenny has none just yet. Brady exclaims if it is true then Victor is totally to blame for him losing Tate. Jen adds and for JJ losing his job but she needs Brady’s help. Naturally he is on board ... Victor calmly introduces Maggie to Arturo, whom he claims is from out of town. Maggie has never seen this employee and suggests Henderson serve them all tea. Victor tells her he was on his way out. Once they are alone, the redhead questions him on the importance of this man he had to the mansion. He claims all his employees are important. Maggie wonders what this one did that was so significant. The Greek grimaces ... Hope and Rafe arrive at Steve’s room and congratulate him on getting his sight back. He praises sweetness for not dealing with Stefan ... Ciara states she heard Claire screaming and asks what went down. When she hears the news about Steve she congratulates Tripp. Claire excuses herself to get ready for another Fresh Face meeting. She is thankful that Ciara has not changed her mind. Once they are alone, Ciara alludes to Tripp telling Claire he thought she was bizarrely attached to Ben. He wonders whether she is ... Eve has not forgotten about her daughter and what Ben took from her. He is sorry. She dares him to look her in the eye and tell her how he could have squeezed the life out of her girl. Ben gasps he cannot but Eve insists and rages now he might not leave the park alive ... Back at the Kiriakis mansion Victor asks Maggie what she is accusing him of. She suspects he had something to do with the disappearance of Leo Stark. He swears he did not. She still senses something and reminds him they had an agreement. He decides this discussion is done ... Brady makes a list of Victor’s usual flunkies for the fair Jen. He feels badly for JJ, who was just trying to help Theresa. They will not get away with this ... Kayla and Steve are troubled when Hope and Rafe tell them about Ben being suspected of the latest fire. Kayla asks if he has bothered Ciara since the incident. Hope sighs her daughter is actually paying for his defense! However, she is determined to protect the whole town from Ben ... Eve cries what was it like to kill Paige! Ben has no answer and claims he was fond of her. He wishes he could go back in time to change what he did. Eve cries he cannot but he is here at the park to breathe and enjoy the beautiful day. She decides he deserves to die and shoves him to the ground. He exclaims he is so sorry as she attempts to choke the living daylights out of him ... Ciara denies being romantically interested in Ben buuuuut he did save her. Tripp reminds her of his murderous history. Ciara saw his softer side at the cabin though she admits she might have been wrong. Tripp wants her to stay safe and missed her. She missed him as well. He hugs her and assures her there is no pressure. He is here for her. She smiles to go see papa Steve and thanks him for his patience, the fact that he did not give up on her. He notes he never will and walks out. Claire comes out of her room, having overheard and asks if Ciara is reconciling with Tripp ... Hope is utterly horrified to witness Eve trying to bash Ben’s head with her thermos as she cries and screams and he gasps he is sorry. She exclaims she wants to kill him. Hope just stands by ... Brady boasts to Jen how stabilizing Eve has been in his life. And she is wonderful with Tate as well. Reporter Jen thanks him for the list and will be in touch. The talk turns to Eric. Jen is thrilled the two brothers will walk Marlena down the aisle together. Brothers forever. Brady muses it is best the past stay in the past. She throws her arms happily around him. It seems the grudge is gone, though Jen was not entirely aware of what it really was ... Jen soon calls social worker Kevin from the pub, having emailed him photos of Victor’s usual flunkies. Maggie joins her for lunch. Maggie now spies the picture of Arturo on her ipad. He works for Victor and she just met him at the mansion. This is the hot lead Jen had been waiting for ... Claire reminds Ciara of what Chase did and asks about Tripp. Ciara admits she was not alright for the pain and shame remain. She calls Tripp a good guy. Claire wants to know whether she forgave him for making out with her. She did. Claire also asks for forgiveness for herself ... Hope stands by and watches Eve try to kill Ben. Rafe runs up and pulls the hysterical woman off him. Hope comforts her about her daughter. Ben has scrapes on his face. Eve screams she could kill him. Ben insists to the cops he deserved it and this was a misunderstanding. Rafe warns him to stay away from Eve and Ciara too. Eve gets more hysterical. Hope is sympathetic. Rafe suggests Eve avoid Ben. She storms off. Ben is long gone. Hope feels awful that the grieving mother had to see Ben. Rafe takes her to task for just standing there and done nothing as Eve attacked him. Hope gets a haunted look in her eye ... Steve and Kayla toast cupcakes to celebrate. Steve teases his handsome dude son in the doorway. Kayla excuses herself so father and son can catch up and lets Tripp have her cupcake. Steve sighs he had almost lost hope but here he is feeling like a new man. He will never take his one eye for granted again. Tripp gushes he might be getting his own second chance – with Ciara ... Claire apologizes to Ciara for her past beechy behavior. Ciara has also done some soul searching. Claire hopes she can forgive her. Ciara wants to move past the bad feelings. Grateful Claire hugs her ... Eve storms into the Kiriakis mansion and gets herself a drink, having been summoned by Victor. He warns her Jen has been digging around and got the social worker who planted the drugs to talk. Eve fears Jen will figure it all out even when he assures her he made Arturo vanish. Meanwhile Maggie admits to Jen that Victor wanted her to avoid Arturo and it seemed he was hiding something. Jen is grateful and now gets a call from the social worker who checked the faces she sent him. She needs him to identify which man paid him ... Maggie visits Brady, who assures her he has been sober and Theresa even let him video chat with Tate. He and Theresa were about to make a joint custody agreement when Victor, it seems, went back to his wicked ways ... Victor warns Eve that Jen will go straight to Brady with her info so she should throw her off the scent. Eve declares she can deal with Jennifer Horton. Jen appears and wonders about that ... Claire the new career girl and Ciara are good again. She goes to post on social media she finally got her bff back ... Tripp grins he and Ciara are really good but Steve explains he spoke to Hope and Rafe, who are worried about her getting close to Ben. Tripp thinks she sees him for what he is. Steve the wise man suggests men like Ben cannot change so they should all look out for Ciara ... Rafe understand it was hard for Hope, who is glad he came when he did. She worries she will lose Ciara cos with Ben around her daughter is in danger ... Meanwhile someone is softly knocking at the loft door so Ciara opens it. There stands Ben. Their eyes lock ...
