- Kristen is about to make her big announcement at the church function. She has sinned! Nicole quietly warns Eric she is up to something. Hope senses it too. The bishop mutters to Kristen that they are being watched! She purrs it is for the best. They will ALL be affected by her scandalous news! The bishop explains Father Eric was about to proceed with his presentation but she insists the timing is purrfect. Her candid confession concerns Eric of new school fame. As though on cue, powerful Salemite Victor Kiriakis arrives and teases the bishop about being there for the
free drinks. His eminence greets Maggie and Victor, who knows his Excellency personally, from the golf course. Brady takes the moment
to make his move. He wants to tell his now flustered former fiancee something in private. That something could change everything! He will meet her in the garden and will not take no for an answer.
- Adrienne anxiously pauses at the door of apartment 14. She flashes
back to Sami’s dire warning that she is ruining her relationship with her son. She is convinced she has no choice! Will answers her knock and informs Sonny his mom is there. Sonny drawls he has no time for this,
he is running late. Adrienne enters regardless and insists he make time! Will offers to give them their privacy. Sonny refuses to listen when Adrienne explains she must protect him. He does not let her have her
say. He will not allow her paranoia to ruin this day for Will’s family!
Will reappears and notes he has to give Gabi something to help Ari sleep. Sonny wants to come with. Adrienne snaps she will not let that Sami woman wreck Sonny’s life! He snaps he is finished with her poison, negativity, and refusal to let him be happy. Will wonders whether they should take separate cars. Sonny is determined to get to the church on
time with Will and advises Adrienne to close the door behind her! Exit Will and Sonny. Adrienne looks at the video of Sami attacking Bernardi again and cries the truth must come out. Furthermore, she will not let Sami drag her son down with her!
- Back at the shiny new school, Roman, Marlena, and Sami congratulate Eric on his presentation Father Matt is proud, as is the bishop. Caroline smiles as Sami hugs her talented twin. Now it is mama Marlena's turn. Meanwhile, Nicole storms up to EJ and calls him a son of a bitch. He dared to humiliate her! He chuckles it is always easy. She accuses him
of spreading unfounded lies! EJ tries to ignore her and glances around the crowd, with the occasional wave. She rages at him for telling Eric what
he thinks she is feeling. EJ notes her overreaction merely proves his point that Eric is her flavor of the month. She righteously reminds him that Eric is her priestly boss. He alludes to the fact that Eric’s position might make it that much more exciting. Nicole threatens to slap him. He grins he is spot on with his assessment. She has the hots for the holy one and will self-destruct all by herself! Nearby, Marlena apologizes to demure Sami for having concerns about all things DiMera. Sami sighs she knows she cannot accept the fact that she loves EJ. Marlena is worried for her, but admits it is her choice. She will therefore support her. Sami gets choked up. This means so much. Marlena wants her to be happy. Sami wishes
the same for her and they embrace.
- Kristen and Brady are soap staring at one another in the holy garden surrounded by flowers and goodness. But is it enough? Brady declares
he has spoken to his father. Kristen exclaims John was not truthful and she does not care. Loverboy Brady prevents her from leaving and assures her that John confirmed her story. He now knows she loves him for real! Kristen concedes she always did despite her plans and fell in love with
him because of him. He was someone she did not want to lie to or hurt. She sniffles and wonders what comes next. Brady is not sure. He has been thinking. She did set out to destroy his family. That having been said, the woman he loves still exists and stands before him now. They cannot go back but perhaps they can start over. She woefully shakes her head and sighs it is too late! However, she cannot deny still loving him. Why all of this now? Brady explains the school was what brought them together, when he joined the board. That was when he fell in love with her. And he continues to love her. He will never be able to forget her and thus feels there is a chance. She gets teary eyed, gasps she cannot do it, and takes off, overwhelmed.
- Dapper Will and Sonny arrive for the event and Will apologizes to Sami for their tardiness. Sonny laments it was his mothers’ fault. Sami is sorry to hear she is stirring up trouble again. Sonny thinks it is nothing to be concerned about. His mom is just all talk and no action! Will now lets Marlena know how sorry he is about John. She assures him she is just fine and suggests he and Sonny go say hello to Eric. Will agrees and
adds John is acting like a bad word these days! Sami and Marlena now wonder where oh where Brady might be.
- Adrienne sweeps into Abe’s office and insists she has key evidence!
The testy D.A. is summoned and Adrienne repeats she has evidence.
First she seeks immunity for obstruction of justice charges though not for herself. The D.A. has her doubts. Adrienne claims it would be the biggest case of her career. The D.A. is interested. She plays along with the immunity for her husband. Adrienne wants it in writing and it is for her son! Abe silently observes.
- Sami is all smiles in her blue dress as she walks arm in arm with EJ at the church event. He thinks it was mature of her not to announce their wedding date and steal Eric’s thunder. He holds his beloved and notes
her brother has already made his successful speech, taken his bows so... Sami gushes she loves EJ to distraction and wants everyone to know
how blissfully happy they are together. EJ kisses her. A nun walks by
and clears her throat. Nearby Victor and parish secretary Nicole end up standing together. She asks why he did not make a snide remark after the monseigneur praised her as a gracious hostess. The Greek tycoon cackles he is focusing on what they have in common. Namely their dislike of the DiMeras! He too thinks the Bernardi case outcome was shocking. Nicole adds that Sami got away with murder. Literally!
- Sami has just informed the family of her and EJ’s wedding day. Will steps up and wishes them happiness. Sami hopes the others will follow suit. Roman hugs her and drawls he wants her to be happy and safe. EJ charmingly promises she will be. Hope also wants her to be happy and safe. Ciara exclaims she just loves weddings and wants to get married as many times as Sami! Nearby, Marlena is proud of her son Father Eric
and lets him know. He recalls how the bureaucrats almost shut them down. Marlena wonders about that mysterious illness. They still do not know the cause, though Dan has given him a clean bill of health. Nicole later teases Eric that one day he will become the pope. He is admittedly uncomfortable with all the attention as the reporters and paparazzi buzz around. He points out he did not do any of this alone. Nicole was equally important. When Maggie explains a reporter wants a few words, Eric insists Nicole come and take credit for her role. She smiles she would rather remain stay in the shadows, to help ...
- Will and Sonny sit with Caroline and Victor. Victor congratulates the new, improved coffee house by day, club by night. Sonny thanks his illustrious uncle for the advice on how to obtain the liquor license. The Greek tycoon muses he will be in competition with the pub. The gang are amused. When Sonny goes on to praise his friend Brent’s design plans, Victor quips it can prove tricky working with friends! Sonny gushes he is thrilled to work with him. Will pouts.
- Sami is grateful when the bishop offers to preside over her and EJ’s wedding, though she had Eric in mind. Eric appears and she informs the bemused bishop they are twins. She calls Eric the good twin. Nicole rolls her eyes as Sami gushes they both believe in doing what they must to get the job done.
- The D.A. now watches the damning video on Adrienne’s phone. Abe stares in silence. The D.A. promptly calls the judge for a warrant for the immediate arrest of one Samantha Brady! Abe is unable to stop her, for he must go by the book. He doesn’t like it, though. The D.A. soon thanks the judge on the phone and promises Commissioner Carver will pick it
up. Abe calls this precipitous. The D.A. scowls the suspect had plenty of motive, as they now see, and acted hostile. She assumes she is attending the school opening, publicity seeker that she is. Abe exclaims there is no need to ruin the church opening of the new school and implies she too is after publicity. The D.A, threatens to get another cop to arrest her if he will not comply.
- The bishop spies Kristen and notes her demeanor. Has she changed her mind about what she wanted to tell him? Kristen states she has not as she stands at the podium. She has something to give the bishop in all of their presence. She reaches in her bag, then gasps she lost her gift. It was a check for the disadvantaged children in their community! A boy she met touched her and so she is offering ten more student scholarships to the new school! Ciara exclaims she is awesome! Sami glowers at her. EJ applauds, along with the others. Sami is royally miffed his donation has been overshadowed. The bishop thanks her, then quietly asks what she meant about her sin involving Father Eric! Kristen airily claims she let her petty differences between Father Brady’s family and herself prevent her from coming to the need of the children, which she should have done earlier. Sami interrupts, to get a photo with the bishop and Father Eric. Marlena sneaks up behind Kristen and hisses she knows for a fact that
she has no conscience. She wonders what she was really up to. Kristen munches on some finger food and calls her paranoid. Marlena counters that she is selfish and evil. Kristen suggests she make nice cos she could have destroyed her happy little world in a flash today. Marlena suspects her threats are hollow. Kristen smiles a crooked smile and holds her bag close, considering. Hope now informs Kristen that the bishop is asking for her. Apparently the media wants a picture of him with the biggest donors. Kristen waltzes off, her head held high. Marlena notes one should never underestimate Stefano or Kristen DiMera. Hope agrees. Marlena adds
she almost seemed armed today! The bishop is standing with Kristen and Eric and Sami and EJ. He would also like former board member Brady included. Brady stands by Kristen, whose face softens.
- Back at the station, a cop thanks Adrienne for doing something to bring the one who killed his pal Bernardi to justice. Adrienne breaks down and hopes she has done the right thing here today.
- When the pictures are done, Eric makes a mini speech. He wishes to thank everyone for their contributions. Abe now arrives with the D.A.
and a uniformed cop, He has no choice and quietly asks Sami to come with him. She stands with EJ’s arms around her and ignores him. Abe implores her not to make this any worse for herself. Eric asks if there is
a problem. The DA snaps to just do it. Abe is sorry. "Samantha Brady, you're under arrest for the murder of Detective Joseph Bernardi!" Caroline, Roman, and Marlena gasp. The cameras flash in Sami’s horrified face. EJ is speechless ...
