Glamorous Doug and Julie discuss this last year as tis been a year since Eli and Lani were wed. Julie gets emotional about Ciara and Ben’s nightmare wedding, the tragedy of her leaving Ben ... Ben cannot believe his Ciara is really here! The beautiful girl looks up at him, but she is not smiling ... Dapper Doug feels for Ben. Julie too. Lani makes light of Paulina’s discrepancy and assures her dad she is trustworthy ... Doug and Julie are over the moon when Theo confirms Ciara came with him ... but she went to talk to Ben ... Ciara complains about Ben not replying to her texts and messages. Tis time for him to sign but he refuses. She gets closer and puts the pressure, but he whispers he burned them. At their cabin. Their faces get closer ... Gwen insists Snyder was simply her docta. Eli now gets a message about the medicine man meeting his death before he was left in the lake. Xander frowns. Gwen starts to sweat ... - Ciara presents another copy of the divorce papers plus a pen for Ben to sign so she can move on. She says please and he whispers he wants to talk first ... Julie hopefully asks Theo if Ciara and Ben are reuniting. Chanel arrives in a stylish green dress with the cake. Theo is impressed when she shares she is about to open a bakery. Nearby woman in red Paulina joins Julie and Doug, who are looking forward to the grand opening of Sweet bits at the town square. Paulina uneasily wonders when the guests of honor are arriving and Julie wonders what is taking Eli so long ... Xander slyly suggests a boating accident, but Eli senses dead Snyder was dumped in the lake. The autopsy will tell the story. He asks Gwen to get in touch if she remembers anything. She agrees and he goes. Gwen blasts Xander for blowing it. He promised the perfect plan ... Ciara sighs there is nothing to say so Ben insists she hear him out and look at him. He gave her space in South Africa but refuses to ever sign divorce papers. He will never stop trying to bring back her memory of their love! She notes she has a new life with Theo ... Chanel and Theo drink up and discuss their folks dating. Suited Eli arrives. He admits to curious Julie he was on a case. Dr. Snyder’s body was found in the lake. He was just speaking to one of Julie’s guests. She assumes Xander is a suspect but he corrects her. He spoke with Gwen ... Xander sighs some of the rocks used to weight the body down must have spilled. Gwen gets exasperated. He suggests she point the finger at cousin Tripp and his friends. Gwen hyperventilates Eli was acting like they were guilty. She hopes the detective bought her story. Xander is concerned cos she lied to a cop about her last meeting with Snyder and Julie could out her! Horrified Gwen realizes he is right. - Julie gasps Gwen killed Snyder?! Eli is elusive about leads. Doug suggests they prepare for Eli and Lani’s party. This gathering is to celebrate them. Eli smiles. Outside elegant Lani and Abe arrive and she assures him she will act surprised. Back inside, Eli gets Abe’s text, and they all take their places. Lani pushes in the babies and pretends to wonder why tis dark. SURPRISE! Eli stands by the love of his life, who is elated Theo came from afar for the festivities. Paulina congratulates her niece and Chanel makes a comment. Eli, Lani et al now get the champagne. Theo alludes to having news. Abe takes the floor to propose a toast to wonderful Lani and Eli. May all the days of their lives be filled with endless love. They raise their glasses and Eli kisses his happy wife ... Xander reminds Gwen that Julie saw his so-called friend passed out on the sofa. She hopes she did not see Snyder’s face. Xander quips he could off her. Gwen hopes that was a joke. Of course, says he ... Doug and Julie share a white tablecloth booth with Abe and Paulina while the guests mingle. Julie wants to hear about the latest and Paulina smiles about their scandalous affair. All of a sudden a foreman enters seeking Paulina’s signature for her demolition order. She obliges while everyone watches and he hands her a copy. Abe wants to know what is going on. Paulina lies she just had to have a few walls knocked down. Abe takes the paper from her hand and gasps they are going to demolish their square! He takes Eli to stop them before it is too late. Everyone is waiting for Paulina to explain. She has no answer and the place clears. She excuses herself and Julie shouts she was right not to trust her ... Eli tries to stop the foreman, who removes Tom and Alice’s plaque. The worker tells the protesting people of Salem this is the Horton square no more, it is becoming Pricetown. The mayor steps up demanding to know what the heck that is. Paulina steps up to face the music ... - Ciara claims she wants only Theo, but Ben slowly shakes his head. He vows to make her remember one day. Meanwhile no divorce! She raises her voice, and he wonders why the hurry. She declares she is engaged to Theo and gives him a defiant stare.
