She loves them. He hopes to watch the fireworks with Paulina. She was a lonely lady before him as she had not had romance for a long time. Lani remembers her telling her otherwise. The stories are not adding up ... Paulina insists her romance with Abe is not a secret. Chanel worries how it will look. Paulina snaps she has been accepting of her fluidity, so Chanel agrees to back off. She hopes she can move home with mama and start baking a cake. Paulina smiles when she asks her to help ... Eli assures Tripp he is no suspect but did Snyder have any problems at work? Tripp updates him on the unaccounted painkiller situation, which Kayla took over. Plus there was some kind of conflict between Snyder and patient Gwen ... Xander deduces Snyder was threatening to tell Jack the truth if Gwen did not do his bidding. He can relate to her wanting a real relationship with her fatha for he has been there. Alas the Kiriakis clan have no respect or love for him. She likens them to orphans. He assures her he will not ruin her chance with her father regardless of what she did and she hugs him. Then their eyes lock ... - Abe wonders what has Lani so silent. Is it about his new romance? She believes Paulina has not been up front ... Chanel and Paulina are having a nice time together baking. Paulina knows her late papa would be so proud. Chanel has stars in her eyes about her square business and hugs her. Paulina seems to have a crise de conscience ...Gwen and Xander are about to kiss when Detective Eli comes to the door. He wants to discuss her dead doctor. Gwen gasps about the terrible news but wot has his demise to do with her ... Claire walks Ben to his door. He is sorry she had to see the body. He invites her in, but she must check in with Shawn, who has been texting her since the body in the lake broke. He thanks her for the invite.
