Kate races past John at the square, handing him her shopping bags as she looks for her parking meter money. The hunk hopes doc is alright as he left her a message to meet him here ... Meanwhile Angelica greets Dr. Evans, who coos call her Marlena. They will be working together to bring Adrienne down. But this is not our beloved Marlena ... Adrienne sits with Justin at the pub, all aglow about getting the loan approval. Justin calls it a good deal. She smiles and suspects her knight in shining armor helped. Justin denies it was him with a twinkle in his eye. She laughs she meant Lucas ... At DiMera mansion Lucas notices Chad staring at an engagement ring and assumes it is for Gabi. He admits it is actually Abigail's ... In their room Dario claims the crimes Abigail accused him of are not true and he is no liar. She begs to differ. He will only say he cuts corners and has a few companies connected to GDR. She lists his crimes. He calls them all lies so she shows him copies of the files she found on the laptop ... Lucas wonders why Chad is pining over Abigail's old ring. He denies it and declares he now knows who hacked them ... Abigail is hard on Dario, who tries to blame his father for projects he put in place, which he had to see through. She counters Dario is the crook and smacks his face when he excuses it was for her. She is disgusted. He wants to make it up to her. She orders him to return every single cent he stole from Chad's company or she is going to the cops! Dario pouts in that case her precious Chad will pay the price. Then he drops a bombshell. SONNY KIRIAKIS DID NOT KILL DEIMOS, IT WAS CHAD! ... Lucas deduces Deimos hacked Countess W. Chad says no and would rather not say more. He asks for a press release by noon about the thriving state of the company. Lucas needs more. Chad assures him they are safe, just as he must keep the person who told him the truth safe. He gives him the night off to be with Adrienne. Lucas laments she is with her ex right now like always lately ... Adrienne calls Lucas quietly protective. Justin gets sarcastic. She only cares she and Jen got the Spectator ... Fake Marlena muses angry Angelica underestimated Adrienne. Angelica wants to continue her revenge. Fake Marlena calls her obsession pathological. Angelica refers to fooling the whole town with her, beginning with John Black. Fake Marlena moves her head. Angelica notes no one should know of their connection until much later. Meanwhile Kate warns John that he was away from Marlena so long maybe she found another man. She walks away and he purses his lips ... He gushes about planning their wedding and kisses the woman he loves. Alas their romantic reunion is short lived ... All of a sudden Paul appears gasping to John they must save Sonny! As they discuss Sonny's situation, Justin argues to Adrienne that Sonny was drugged. He is working to have the unfair charges dropped so he does have a chance. Adrienne wonders whether he did do it given how he hated Deimos ... Lucas is leaving the DiMera mansion as Kate arrives. Lucas laments Chad would not tell him who hacked Countess W. Kate wants to know WHO he is protecting ... Abigail calls the accusation a lie. Dario suggests she think about it. Abigail insists Chad was with her that night. Dario slyly questions whether it was the whole night. She flashes back to taking off and states yes the whole time. Besides Dario was not even there so he knows nothing. Dario declares she is wrong and points out he too has his proof. He flashes an iphone photo of Chad leaning over Deimos, touching the knife in him and notes he did it with a knife in the parlor. He taunts the napkin makes it appear he was attempting to clean his fingerprints from the knife. Abigail worriedly wonders how he got that. He took it. That night he went back to the party to surprise her. She gasps he sank low with his blackmail. Gabi would never forgive him. Dario the snake sarcastically states his sister does love Chad almost as much as Abigail ... Kate is mad she went so far as to marry Andre for the company and now Chad will not share the important information! Lucas leaves and wishes boss Chad luck ... Marlena wonders whether Steve could help. Paul thinks his plate is full. Marlena wonders what he found. John is listening. Paul updates them on the magazine clue that led to Xander. Marlena heard he was in Greek prison. Paul points out he might have come back to commit the crime. John reasons then he returned to the Greek prison before his absence was noticed. Paul needs his immediate assistance and apologizes for having to ask him to come away a while ... Angelica orders Hattie to stop chewing gum and play the part. Hattie sputters. Angelica insists she practice to become the perfect Marlena. Hattie demands a drink. The two women bicker and Hattie admits it is hard to become Marlena. Angelica reminds her she will have to be like real Marlena in order to pay back Andre. He will not see anything bad coming from the good doctor. She reminds her to be well spoken and then Roman Brady will believe in her performance. She can then reel in Roman, the man of her dreams. But first she - as Marlena - must dump John Black ... Paul feels he is in over his head. Marlena understands. John sighs he cannot say no and asks what if this was one of their kids and what are poor Adrienne and Justin going through now ... Adrienne admits that she was worried Sonny would not find love again after he lost Will. Then came Paul, who makes him so happy. Justin points out one never forgets a first love. Adrienne thanks him when he promises to take care of their boy and he lets her knows she can call him anytime. Anytime. They warmly hug. Lucas arrives and stares him down, demanding to know what the hell he is doing ... Paul steps away to give the supercouple some privacy. John asks Marlena to speak her mind. She notes John would not be John if he did not help and Paul needs him now. He kisses her and promises to be back as fast as possible. She hopes so since she could not bear to be without him ...Angelica asks Hattie to practice how as Marlena she will break up with John. Hattie is less than convincing. Angelica sighs the stakes are high! Hattie asks about her agenda and Angelica admits she wants to win Justin back ... Justin sarcastically asks Lucas if it bothers him to see him having coffee with Adrienne. Lucas accuses him of taking advantage and things get intense. Adrienne insists they stop ... Chad informs cross Kate he agreed to say nothing until the hacker had had the opportunity to make things right. Kate senses his secret source is Abigail. Silence ... Dario does not believe that Abigail is over Chad. He bitterly tells her to forget what she found out in his files. Otherwise he will make Chad DiMera go down in flames. Abigail is stunned into silence. Soap blackmail is a powerful thing ... Adrienne lets Lucas know she hugged Justin to thank him for his support. Lucas still does not trust him and goes after her when she storms out ... Angelica acknowledges Justin still wants Adrienne. All she needs is a chance! Hattie does not get the relationship math regarding her having to break up John and Marlena. Angelica makes her spit out the gum so she can start explaining the intricacies... John loves doc, who has his heart always forever. A tender kiss and he walks off with Paul to help save Sonny. The blonde blinks back her tears ... Kate can see Chad, like Stefano, is keeping his secrets. However he is no longer married to Abigail and she will not let DiMera suffer. She walks out, leaving him alone with his deep thoughts ... Dario asks Abigail for a chance to make her happy since Chad is with Gabi, who loves him. Silence. He agrees to give her time but warns he will send the damning picture of Chad to the cops if she goes against him. He exits and her phone rings. From Chad. Violins play. In her torment she does not take the call. Chad leaves her a message as he was worried about her and asks her to call him when she can. The violins grow louder and she cries silently in her sorrow ... END! |
