Steve states she was set up and he has a suspect, Tripp starts to sweat ... At the square Adrienne is anxious with Jen cos she cannot find her work numbers. She curses Angelica cos this meeting must succeed. They cannot afford to default on their bank loan as Angelica is lurking. Both women are fiercely proud and Adrienne is still stressed about Sonny's situation. Jen gives her a pep talk ... JJ and Lani enjoy a drink at the club cos they both have the day off. JJ smiles he will never complain about the boring simple cases ever again. Lani announces her news. She will be working with FBI Eli on the crime family cases of Salem. JJ soap stares ... Dario taunts Chad as he passes at the park. He muses he is still mad since he won the fair Abigail even though they share a son and he has a mansion. Chad morphs into DiMera mode and calls him a crooked bad influence. He will be watching him! Dario grins he got the girl Chad lost. Chad's steely blue eyes are not amused ... Theo and Abigail are appallled by the dastardly data in Dario's company files. In addition to counterfeiting, Theo can see that Dario has been hacking and stealing from companies. One of the numbers hits close to home ... Steve tells Tripp he suspects Nurse Shelley, who almost gave Hope the wrong dosage. He asks what he noticed or heard about her. Tripp replies he overheard her badmouthing Kayla. Steve promises to make whoever went after his sweetness pay big time. Tripp flashes back to how he found out the ipad password, an answer only someone close to Joey would have thought of. Perhaps he was not so smart after all ... Theo exclaims one of the companies Dario cleared out was Countess W! He would have to be highly tech savvy to have succeeded. Abigail gasps he got Myron to do it. She wants Theo to download the damning evidence but before he can finish Dario's voice is heard. They both jump up and hide ... At the park Steve runs into Angelica, who accuses him of tailing her. She taunts his sister's sad little paper will become hers today when she loses her loan. Steve wonders why the costly Spectator. Cos Adrienne took away her son Alexander ... Back at the club, JJ congratulates Lani. She senses he does not like her working alongside Eli because of their kiss at the party. JJ quips she was drugged. They now discuss that night and he fumes about Sonny being unfairly accused. He plans to do something about it. He also plans to move into his room at Marton house tomorrow. They toast to his new home ... The suited man of finance meets Adrienne and Jen. He lets them knows he thinks printed newspapers are a thing of is the past. Adrienne talks digital, videos and their increasing readership. He is impressed when Jen speaks of Jack's legacy. To know Deveraux was to respect him. Adrienne argues the town deserves a fair local paper and therefore hopes for the loan ... Dario mutters, mad about a call, grabs some papers from his desk, and departs. Theo and Abigail bolt after Theo has copied EVERYTHING. JJ is enjoying his cute time with Lani at the club. Then he spies cousin Tripp drinking alone and asks him to join them. He asks how he fares in Salem. Tripp likes the town but it feels strange getting to know a father he never had. He does not elaborate. Kayla's forced leave comes up. JJ insists she is innocent and Tripp gets tense, given his cousin is a cop ... Angelica does not deny Steve's accusation of petty revenge. She enjoys the attention. Steve warns the Spectator would be lots of work. The diva declares she will hire people. He tells her she will not have enough time for botox and yoga. Angelica acts amused and he notes she has no new hubby on the horizon. She boasts she has many loves but no marriage in her cards. He notes then she has no new kids and asks about her lover. She waltzes off ... Mr. Helm agrees to the loan and Adrienne and Jen rush off after thanking him profusely. Suited Justin appears and thanks him for his assistance ... At the park Abigail and Theo confer. She cannot believe Dario would steal from Thomas too. Theo tells her to take the proof to the police. She would rather wait and makes him promise not to tell Abe. He hands her the files and she goes on her way. Theo now calls another family member for an urgent meeting ... Tripp takes his leave. Lani noticed he was bothered but JJ only has eyes for her. He invites her up to his place. They flirt, kiss, and race off together ... As it turns out Justin is secretly floating the loan and Mr. Helm is his front man! Helm is surprised he insists on keeping his generosity a secret from Adrienne. Justin explains he just wants to help Adrienne and sock it to Angelica at the same time since he is to blame for the battle. He will make her regret going after Adrienne! At the pub perky Adrienne and Jen give Angelica their loan news. She huffs Jen is no Jack Deveraux and gets a call that makes her face fall. Jen and Adrienne enjoy the show. She warns they will not win as this is simply a setback! Jen and Adrienne make catty comments about her shoes as she clicks away ... Theo meets Chad and announces Abigail is in trouble! Chad is all ears. Theo updates him on finding out that Dario was counterfeiting and also stole funds from DiMera. Chad concludes it was from Countess W. Theo panics Abigail is prepared to confront Dario on her own. He fears for her safety. Chad assures him she will be fine. He will handle it. Meanwhile Abigail calls and snaps at Dario to meet her immediately ... JJ and Lani are getting physical in an elegant room. Back at the pub, Adrienne and Jen tell Steve and Justin their good loan news. Justin acts surprised. Steve solemnly asks what Angelica said. Jen recalls she replied they would not win and it was not over. Steve gets to thinking and solemnly states he heard her on the phone with someone when he and Kayla were hiding in her room. It was someone she was fond of, someone she was telling to do their homework. He asks whether Alex is taking classes. Not now. Justin and Adrienne doubt it would be him and she goes to call Alex now. Justin and Steve agree the last thing they want is Angelica coming after Adrienne with an ally ... Dario wonders whether something is wrong. Abigail orders him home to talk but when she later opens her door she finds herself face to face with Chad. He thunders Theo told him everything and Dario stole from his company! He cannot condone her making him promise not to tell Abe. Abigail implores him not to do anything. She can convince Dario to return his money. Chad has his doubts but Abigail reminds him that Dario happens to be her husband ... Steve pays an orderly for intel on Nurse Shelley ... Chad warns Abigail she cannot trust Dario and mentions her judgment with Ben. Abigail gets her back up. Chad rages he would be within his rights to press charges. She fumes she would never forgive him if Dario went to jail. Chad scoffs so be it. She would rather trust the criminal! He hopes she will be safe and exits ... Steve calls Tripp to tell him an orderly gave him name of a nurse who overheard Shelley suggesting Kayla did not deserve to be a doctor. Tripp wonders what if it is a dead end. Steve drawls he will keep digging ... JJ and Lani are loving their alone time ... Back at DiMera mansion Chad looks at a picture of Thomas and then takes out a diamond ring ... Abigail looks down at the ring on her finger. Dario arrives. She announces she knows about everything illegal thing he has done, from the counterfeit to the corporate theft. Dario's eyes darken dangerously ... Justin assumes there is more than likely nothing new to know about Angelica ... Meanwhile Angelica arrives as Marlena awaits in a chair with a strange smug smile on her face. Angelica purrs she was expecting her and calls her Dr. Evans with irony in her voice ... END! |
