Marlena, John, Adrienne and Roman arrive at Steve’s hospital room for support. He made Tripp get back to work, No operation date was set yet. The engineer who ran the tests will meet with the surgeon to discuss whether he is the perfect candidate for a bionic eye. Marlena and John believe. Steve is relieved Stefan is no more in the picture and adds his sweetness feels the same ... JJ comes to see Kayla in her office. He admits he needs a huge favor cos he helped out a friend and ruined his own life ... Theresa greets Victor at the pub but he came not to see Tate. He fires her from Bella on the spot ... Meanwhile Brady unhappily holds Tate’s teddy bear in his quiet room. Knock knock! Tis Jen, who heard he lost Tate. She believes both parents should raise a child and notes if he planted drugs on JJ he deserves this ... Eve joins Chloe at the club, not feeling like a yoga day today. Chloe blames Theresa’s lawyer Ted. Eve admits things turned sour and it is all her own fault ... Brady denies planting drugs but Jen agrees with her son’s assessment. Brady looks her in the eye and insists it was not him ... Eve laments to Chloe that Brady lost the joint custody agreement when drugs were discovered chez JJ and he claimed they were his not Theresa’s. Theresa knew JJ did not do it and blamed Brady. Chloe wonders why Eve is even blaming herself, then assumes she planted the stash ... Theresa reminds Victor he agreed to give her a chance. He blasts her for taking Tate from Brady. She counters she will keep her son. He doubts that since she no longer has a dime to her name ... JJ updates Kayla on his EMT company suspending him. Kayla heard about the drugs. He explains they found them in the cabinet and urges her to tell his boss he is not using. Kayla is sorry to say that he confessed they were his drugs in court. He mutters he made it up so Theresa would not lose her son. Kayla points out he lied in a child custody case. He now wishes he had considered the consequences ... Jen updates Brady on JJ claiming he was protecting Theresa. Brady reminds her they have both been there. Jen is very worried he now could start using for real since he could lose his job! She therefore begs Brady to come clean. He swears on Tate’s life he planted nothing on JJ. The question they now both wonder is WHO planted those drugs ... Eve knew who planted the drugs though she did not do it. Chloe is disappointed in her involvement. Eve regrets it too as it backfired. No one knew JJ would protect Theresa like that. She now admits the first plan was different. Chloe asks about that plan A. Eve pauses ... Steve asks for the latest on the bogus suit against Sonny. They discuss the strange disappearance of Leo. John declares he and Paul had dug into his shady past. Adrienne smiles the judge might have to throw out the case on Sonny. Steve hopes lousy Leo does not show up again cos when he lays his bionic eye on him ... Kayla advises JJ to come clean to the judge. He reasons then the Tate case could be reopened and Theresa could lose. Kayla urges him not to give up his career just for Theresa. He is torn about what counts more – keeping his job are letting a mother raise her son. Kayla tells him to be the judge. He thanks her for listening and leaves. Kayla now gets the official call about Steve’s bionic eye. Could he be a candidate? Brady and Jen try to solve the case of who planted the stuff at JJ’s place. Brady repeats he had nothing to do with it. Jen replies it sounds more like Victor. Brady gets to thinking ... Victor states his terms to Theresa. She can stay at Bella if she agrees to joint custody. She claims she cannot trust Brady cos he already framed her. Victor snaps it was not him ... Chloe is now aware that Eve knows Brady has proof that protects the real killer of Deimos. She wonders who it was and mentions Victor. Eve would rather not reveal the name. Chloe urges her to tell her who really killed Deimos ... Steve keeps cracking jokes. John teases he needs his tough guy best man to see all the happiness at his wedding. Marlena blushes when he insists he needs to see the vision of his beloved and her matron of honor. Kayla arrives with good news. Steve is getting his bionic eye! John hugs Marlena. Roman and Adrienne are over the moon. So are Steve and Kayla ... Victor claims the culprit could have been the Mexican murderer Theresa hooked up with. She doubts it and suspects Brady. Victor repeats it was not him. Theresa refuses to his terms so he wishes her luck hanging onto her son without a job ... Meanwhile Brady reasons Victor wanted him to be with Theresa not Eve so he would not have helped him. Reporter Jen vows to uncover the culprit. Brady asks her to stay in touch as he too needs the name of the person who cost him his son ... Eve warns curious Chloe it is best if she does not know who killed Deimos. But she betrayed Brady’s trust! Chloe now learns the tape that could clear Brady is missing. She wonders what would happen if it was found. It would be baaaaaad. But it did not come into the picture. For now Eve is just terrified if she tells Brady the truth she will lose his love ... The gang are thrilled for Steve. Kayla is upbeat but notes there is no guarantee the bionic eye will work. Marlena believes the engineer knew what they were talking about. Kayla must now get ready. John tells his partner he will say a prayer and he will be pleased when he sees him soon. Steve teases from John’s lips to the big dude upstairs ... JJ wants to return Theresa’s makeup to her at the pub. She pouts and updates him on Victor’s threat. She asks JJ to help her get a job at EMT doing office work. He sighs he was suspended ... Chloe warns Eve that the truth will come out and suggests she tell Brady herself. Alas Eve feels he would never forgive her. Brady walks in and wonders what he would need to forgive her for. Chloe stammers they were speaking about Tate and makes herself scarce. Eve wishes she had stepped aside and offers to leave Brady but he loves her. He wants Theresa nowhere near him but is baffled by her about-face on the custody sharing. He now informs Eve that Jen the investigative reporter is officially on the case to clear JJ! He now believes Jen that JJ is innocent ... At the square John, Marlena, and Roman hope for Steve’s bionic eye. Marlena knows Steve and Kayla will have their love forever no matter what. Roman gets a call. John sits and drawls he and doc will also keep on lovin each other. He could not love her more than he does today. She feels the same way and wants their remarriage to show the world they are reunited forever. He kisses her cheek and she swoons ... Roman gets off the phone. It was not good news ... At the park Adrienne is all about Steve’s happy news but Jen is preoccupied with JJ’s predicament. Adrienne hugs her in support ... Theresa is horrified to hear that JJ was unfairly suspended. He thinks he will be cleared. She fears they could fire him if they have a no tolerance policy and decides to go talk to his boss. He tries to stop her and they stand very close. He murmurs he would do it all over again for her so she could keep her son ... Steve ends a call with Tripp, now ready for the OR. They can celebrate when he sees again. Kayla is at his bedside. Steve admits he would love to see his family and loved ones again and thanks her for standing by her man. He does not see the guilt on her face. Time to get the show on the road ... Adrienne is anxious about waiting while Steve has his surgery. Jen asks her to help her clear JJ’s name ... At the club Eve sadly states love can make the right people do the wrong thing. Brady is relieved Jen believed him but if JJ did not do it who did? Eve tries to change the subject. Brady reasons the person responsible for the planting of the drugs is the same person responsible for him losing his son ... Meanwhile Roman interrupts JJ and Theresa's almost moment, sorry to say he bears bad news about mama Kim ... STAY TUNED |
