On her computer, reporter Jen gets a call at the pub from the station. She cannot believe what JJ went and did and stares at her monitor. Roman wonders what happened. JJ confessed in court to having drugs at his home! Meanwhile at JJ’s place Theresa would rather not celebrate. He gets she wanted Brady back. She believed she did until he set her up! JJ senses it was someone else. She wishes they had worked out shared custody. JJ reasons if Brady did as believed he is no role model for her son. She smiles someone like him would be ... In his room phone Brady refuses to hand over his son and says so to phone Justin. Alas he has to comply with the court order. Eve informs him Tate is with Emma getting his fav treat with toppings. She hugs him as he cries how could it happen ... As she sits alone in the dark park Gabi remembers her wicked plan, how she duped Abigail into believing Stefan was the father of her baby. Karma is a beech and Abigail and Stefan ruined her life! Stefan slinks out from the shadows ... In her room Abigail puts away the test results she believes to be real and gasps when Chad comes up behind her. He holds her close and she complains she got bad news. He is sorry ... Back at the pub Jen wonders why JJ would blow his life like that. Roman would rather be upbeat. She suspects Theresa is to blame ... Theresa assures jumpy JJ she was not looking for a new dad for Tate but is glad a guy with such character is around. One day he will be a great dad. For now he is happy being Thomas’ uncle. Theresa thanks him profusely for taking the fall. He wanted her to win. She is grateful he also gave her a place to stay. Now the time has come to go ... Brady holds Tate’s teddy bear and cannot accept he has lost him. Eve wishes she could help. He stands up and exclaims why did he lose his son! Eve soap stares and announces it is her fault. She loves him. However ... He asks her to continue. She suggests he lost Tate all cos he chose to be with her. He insists she is not to blame but that JJ Deveraux sure is ... JJ has Theresa’s packed suitcase. She will miss living here. He liked her company. She giggles and goes out the door. JJ marvels how much they have overcome, starting with their hatred for one another. Now here they are all grown up. JJ gushes he has an open door for her and the little one. She kisses him on the cheek and heads off as he woefully watches ... Abigail alludes to bad luck. Chad wonders what she means. She blames herself for Gabi losing her ability to bear children. Chad exclaims it is the alter’s fault and all roads lead to sinister Stefan ... Stefan would like to discuss Gabi Chic. Gabi wants to wait with that. He questions what could matter more to her than the company she created. She admits she has had him on her mind ... Brady complains about Theresa considering JJ the hero who wanted to take the fall. He promises to prove the stuff really came from that guy. Eve advises him not to provoke her sister again. Brady feels he needs a way to convince her to reconsider shared custody ... Gabi accuses Stefan of being to blame for her losing her childbearing ability as he set her up to take the fall for Abigail. He is sorry as he was not out to harm her. She fumes he put a fictional female above all others and now her life will never be the same ... Chad argues with Abigail that it is really all Stefan’s fault for taking advantage of her delicate state. From now on he will not allow him to have any power over them. They are done with him. Abigail warns with a part of Stefan around they will never truly be free of him ... Theresa takes herself to the pub. Roman congratulates her on getting custody. She admits she was hoping to work things out with Brady but he wants only Eve. Then she agreed to work out joint custody but he planted drugs on her. Roman realizes JJ took the fall and calls him a great friend. Theresa now asks to stay upstairs ... Solemn Jen pays JJ a visit as she heard what happened. He assures her he had no drugs but she knows he confessed in court. It was to help Theresa who was set up. Jen questions who set her up and is surprised when her son points the finger at Brady ... Eve unhappily offers to break up with Brady so Theresa lets him have partial custody. Brady the romantic wants them to run away but she refuses ... Sympathetic Stefan offers to get the top specialists for Gabi. She will not let him ease his guilt! Furthermore she warns him he will pay and suffer for what he did. He sadly states he has already suffered ... Chad wonders what Abigail means about a part of Stefan being around. She pretends she only meant they are brothers. He states they have a wonderful son and he would love to have another one with her. Abigail blinks back the tears. Chad tries to make her feel better. She remembers Gabi’s words that telling him the truth would be too hard and starts to say ... Ring ring! Tis Jen calling about JJ’s problem. After the brief phone update, Abigail informs Chad. Chad hopes her brother was not using though he understands Lani’s baby not being his could have sent him over the edge ... Jen cannot believe JJ’s view that Brady would have stooped so low. JJ reasons he is like Victor and is embittered ... Roman teases Theresa he will put Tate to work. She assures him she will be able to pay as she has a job with Bella. Roman muses mama Caroline would want her to stay for free and they have enough rooms. He asks about JJ. Theresa smiles and remembers the good times ... Brady begs Eve to go on the run with him so he can take Tate far away. She reminds him he already tried when he went on the run with Nicole. It could have ended up even worse! Brady now has a visit from child and family services to oversee his handing over of Tate to his mother. Brady explains Emma the nanny is out with Tate for frozen yogurt. But seconds later Theresa brings him up, having met him with the nanny in the lobby. Brady bites his tongue and then tells Tate he will be living with mommy a little while cos she missed him. Tate asks if he is also coming. Brady gives him a tragic look. Theresa is close to tears ... Stefan insists he too lost something important. Gabi taunts him for his imaginary girlfriend. He exclaims she was very real to him, the only real thing that mattered! Gabi calls him a freak and fumes only Abigail was real. Now he is all alone! Stefan can see she dislikes him but is determined to make Gabi Chic a success. He wants to overcome and work together. He walks away and she pouts she will never forgive him. Furthermore she will take something from him until she makes sure all hell breaks loose. She laughs to herself she is just getting started ... JJ gives Jen a cup of tea and assumes the custody trouble is all over. Until his boss calls and suspends him from his dream EMT job. Jen urges him to tell the truth. He cannot. She blames Theresa. But JJ blames Brady. Jen decides right then and there she will not let Brady get away with it ... As violins play Tate murmurs he will miss daddy. Brady will miss him and hugs him. When he suggests a video chat the child services woman reminds him of the rules. But Theresa is all for it. She takes Tate off to their room over the pub after apologizing for the way it ended. Brady weeps bye bye to his boy and Eve consoles him ... Abigail thinks the reason Lani lied was cos she was afraid and longed to give JJ the baby he wanted. Chad excuses himself to read to Thomas and kisses her. Once alone, Abigail shuts the door, wipes away her tears, and calls Gabi. She now knows what she has to do. Gabi waits with bated breath ...
