Monday, July 18, 2016 Episode 12,884 Length:1550 descriptive words Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... BASED ON DAYSCAFE NOON TWEETS Dario is tending the club. It is a rather slow night in Salem for some. Blanca comes in, having finished her shift and he teases her for hoping to find Rafe. He suspects she has the HOTS for him and a Spanish guitar plays in the background. Blanca protests too much ... Aiden is slumped on the floor, having trashed his hotel room over losing Hope. He growls go away when someone bangs at his door. He now opens and Andre appears, making remarks about the ruination of the room. He raises his head and smiles he bears good news. Rafe Hernandez DIED tonight! Meanwhile forensics Shawn is with his trusted flashlight in the rubble shouting for mom or Rafe but alas no one answers ... Blanca boldly denies her hots for Rafe. She is fond of him though and he loves Hope. Dario teases her to fight for his big brother. She notes she never fights for men! He notes Salem is too boring a place for her to be and she asks why he came back, given he is a man of the world. He replies he returned for the family, especially mama. She teases him for being different than Rafe. Dario acts more like a time bomb ... The search and rescue boys are searching but so far there is no one to rescue. Shawn orders a clean up, full sweep. He is handed a blackened cell phone from the rubble and frowns ... Aiden is horrified to hear that Andre actually killed Rafe. Andre reminds him he had said he wanted him taken care of. Aiden hopes he covered his tracks. Of course! Aiden laments he has already lost the love of his life. Andre muses in more ways than one and enlightens him. Hope is gone. She perished while trying to rescue Rafe. He sarcastically states he is so sorry ... Rafe heroically carries Hope into a secret room via a secret tunnel and places her down on a makeshift bed. She has been wounded and he begs her not to die. Her eyes are closed and she lies there like a sleeping beauty ... Back above ground in Salem, Dario enlightens Blanca on why he hates his father. It is for betraying the family. He stops when mama arrives asking about Rafe. Dario has not seen or spoken to him lately and offers to make the ladies a special drink. As they await the concoction at a table, Adriana tells Blanca her sister called about a man in Mexico who has been asking about her. The name given was Guillermo. Blanca freezes ... Shawn calls Roman, who urges him not to give up. In his view the good detectives could have escaped. It has happened before. He is headed to the site soon ... Rafe tries to stop the bleeding on Hope's side and she wakes up, gasping what happened where are we? She is in pain. He tries to soothe her but her eyes fall shut again ... Blanca looks nervous and Adriana asks what has her so worried. Nothing, he is just an old boyfriend ... Dario brings the drinks. Mama wants to call Rafe. She worries what happened. Dario teases like always. When she departs, Dario must attend to the new customers. Blanca quietly calls sister Natalia, ordering her to tell Guillermo she knows not where she is! Dario appears, asking if she is alright, having overheard ... Commissioner Roman arrives at the rubble and gasps GOD to Shawn as he surveys the destruction. Shawn mutters if they managed to escape they must be wounded ... Aiden dramatically doubles over when Andre tells him about attaching a bomb to Rafe. He then straightens himself and explodes when Andre laughs that they both blew up when Hope tried to save him. Aiden frantically cries he is lying and must have kidnapped her ... Hope slowly opens her eyes and Rafe gives her water. He suspects they are in the dark DiMera underground tunnels. He praises her for getting them away from the bomb just before it blew. Her memory is a little foggy. Rafe grins she is a good shot and gets more water. Hope remembers the trap door now. He reminds her the floorboards were loose and they had just entered the secret DiMera passage when the explosion occurred. That is where she draws a blank. He repeats that was when the bomb went off and he hurt his leg but will be alright. Her too. He dabs her face and she thanks him for saving her as a piano tinkles in the background. He says you saved me and they hold hands. She calls his name again and drifts off to sleep ... Blanca admits she is avoiding an ex boyfriend from Mexico. Dario offers to help. Blanca makes light of it. Adriana comes back agitated she has had no message back from Rafe. Dario pokes fun at mama and her worry in an attempt to alleviate her stress. She calls him a good son and goes, urging him to call if he hears from Rafe. Blanca comes with ... It is dusty and dim in the secret DiMera room. Rafe growls damn it! Hope wakes up. He sighs he was just searching for medical supplies and had no luck She is fading fast and wants to get out but she cannot move. She tells him to go find help. He refuses to leave her side. She says GO. Rafe is only gonna go look for a minute no more. Hope sleeps ... Andre is very casual about his truth. Aiden gasps why would he do such a sinister thing! Andre muses he can move on and calls Hope collateral damage but he is delighted they both blew up. Fatha's murda has officially been avenged! Aiden soap stares ... At the square Adriana notices Blanca looking nervous about the ex boyfriend. She says it was bad but she will be fine if he does not find her. Adriana wants to hear all about the bad romance ...Rafe returns to Hope with the following update. One exit was blocked by the explosion and the other is blocked by a solid locked door. He plans to pick the lock and needs to find something with which to do it. She whispers there is no way out but he promises to get her home and strokes her head ... Blanca gets her back up about her bad romance and overreacts it is not Adriana's business anyway ... Andre tells Aiden to find the right one and move on with his son. Aiden gasps Hope was the right woman! Andre taunts he almost killed her. He advises him to take his new chance and starts to slink away. Aiden suddenly grabs him and proceeds to pound on him. Andre easily gets in a blow that makes his assailant fall to the floor, dirty fighting devil that he is ... Adriana apologizes but is worried as she was the one who brought her to Salem with such high hopes for a romance with Rafe. Blanca says there is no need to worry about her welfare. She adds she believes Rafe is not into her but she still loves Salem. Adriana wishes that woman Hope were not near Rafe for it will lead to nothing good ... Rafe senses they must be searching for them. Hope seems to be slipping away ... He calls her name ... Aiden is on the floor, flat on his back. Andre has his black designer shoe pressed against his neck and he is NOT amused. He blasts the now gasping attorney for being dead wrong. He is close to killing him ... Dario is glad when Blanca comes back to the club and asks if Adriana kept calling Rafe. No she was asking about her. Dario notes she does not like to discuss the past like him. She asks if there is a woman. One who is not for sure like Rafe for her They drink to that. Meanwhile Adriana leaves another anxious message for Rafe. A mother always knows when something is amiss ... Roman assures Shawn his detectives are alive and Shawn notices the broken chain that a person must have broken before the explosion. They deduce Hope arrived in time to rescue Rafe. Roman storms off to confront the one he believes to be responsible ... Andre eventually removes his designer shoe from Aiden's throat and allows him to stand. Aiden notes he has nothing on him. Andre leers he can send him to maximum security for the rest of his life. Hope and Rafe's explosion will fall back on him if he does not behave so Aiden betta give him respect and stay in line. He laughs and takes his leave as Aiden wonders ... Back in the secret DiMera room, Rafe holds Hope's tired face in his hand and calls her name to wake her up. But the sleeping beauty sleeps a deep sleep ... THE END!
