A few feet away forensics Shawn informs Belle there will be FBI help tomorrow, though at the moment there is no news. Theresa continues to cry and tries to keep it together ... Phone Victor orders all his men can find on Summer. He is working with John in his office. Maggie arrives with Paul pushing her wheelchair. She asks if she can assist. She wonders whether they have a suspect on the who took Tate case. Victor turns to the P.I. in charge. John solemnly states it is Summer ... At the station Roman and Justin want straight answers from Aiden plus more details. Justin asks if he had a gun that night. The attorney announces he did not and insists he had no intention of killing the woman he loved. He refuses to be tripped up ... Andre wickedly watches the Rafe show, happy he and Hope have almost run out of time ... Hope tries to help Rafe, who urges her to go and leave him to his fate. The chains will not budge and the bomb is ticking ... Doug and Julie are pleased to meet with Claire at the pub. Claire complains her career is standing still. They praise her for having singing genes like dapper Doug. The talk turns to love and Ciara and ... The teen brings up Chad since Ciara is working for him and Abigail is MIA. They tell her Jen is suing him for custody of Thomas. Ciara sighs that is sad. Doug starts to worry where Hope could be as he has not heard from her for a while ... Meanwhile Hope decides to call Commissioner Roman to get the bomb squad to the cellar as soon as possible. Alas there is no signal so she steps outside. She promises Rafe she will get him out of his predicament. Rafe stares into space. The soap hero is feeling sunk ... Theresa tells Kim she will call the family when she hears something and cries tell daddy thanks. Brady comes home looking intense, lamenting there are no new leads. Theresa tells them Shane is sending an ISA agent today. Shawn says great. Brady and Theresa now bicker about her impromptu TV appearance ... Maggie gasps it could not possibly be Summer! John states there were sources. Paul points out she made a cryptic comment to Theresa. John adds she had turned on Brady for rejecting her. The motive is undeniable. Maggie declares there is no proof! Her daughter is not a kidnapper! John notes she vanished the same time Tate did. Maggie makes a whimpering sound. Paul asks where Summer has a history. Maggie mutters Texas and a few other places, admitting she has not heard from her. She cries she could not do something so horrible. Victor grimaces ... Far away Summer now has brown hair and brand new clothes. She is ready to leave the USA ... Maggie has been unable to reach Summer as her phone kept going straight to voice mail. John suspects her phone was turned off. Paul gets a text from his dad's L.A. contact so John goes to talk to him on phone. Maggie and Victor discuss the drama. The redhead feels she is responsible as she abandoned her and did not do enough when she showed up in her life. Victor fumes it is not her fault the woman is a criminal who would deserve prison or worse. It makes Maggie weep ... Brady wants a truce with Theresa. She is still upset he brought Summer to Salem and then sided against her. In fact she cannot forget it! Brady is sorry and loves Theresa, so what to do? Silence. He will go check with John. She turns away and he takes his tormented leave ... Justin asks Aiden if he loved Hope why not warn her Stefano wanted her dead! Aiden explains Stefano had threatened to kill his son. Roman notes he has made no mention of the fact that he came to Salem to seduce Hope as per Stefano's orders! He suspiciously wonders why he added his name to Hope's life insurance policy. Aiden denies doing that and accuses Andre ... Andre raises his champagne glass with glee. He toasts his late fatha that today is the day, there shall be justice for all ... Hope comes back, complaining she could not get a signal. Rafe tells her to save herself! She starts searching the place for something that she could use to free him and Rafe updates her on Aiden's lies. She already knows and he is sorry. In addition, Andre could be involved. Rafe thinks that is possible and repeats to get out before it is too late. Hope finally finds a screwdriver, frantic to free him from the shackles ... Paul is furious and frustrated they cannot trace Tate. John wants him to play it cool, he reasons he is unreadable and sly ... Brady arrives and discusses the lack of developments with Victor and Maggie. John announces he just got something! ... Shawn gets a work call so Belle praises Theresa's wedding gown designs. Theresa cries she cannot have it all now! She almost did, was about to marry the man she loved, but thinks this is payback for all the mean things she has done to others. Belle tells her she changed and her dreams can come true. Shawn now agrees. Theresa cries about Victor not believing in her. They both believe Victor is wrong for people can and do change. Shawn steps out for a stronger signal to try and reach Hope ... Doug tells the gals he is worried about Hope, for she could be in danger on the job ... Meanwhile the wall chain will not budge ... 6 minutes perhaps less are left ... Rafe says go do not die trying to save me! Shawn calls. Finally Hope's phone works. She tells him to get the bomb squad and their exact address. He is on his way! P.I. John ends a call ... A ticket agent spied Summer using Cindy as an alias. Her final destination was Vegas, but she could be long gone. Victor agrees ... Meanwhile Summer is in her Vegas hotel room on a call with a travel agent wanting to go to a faraway exotic place, leaving in 2 hours ... Brady is scared Summer will take Tate out of the country. John points out a baby will slow her down. Paul now gets a lead from HIS contact, a hotel manager in Vegas. He now has her exact hotel! Brady argues he has to approach Summer on his own and leaves ... Roman is frustrated with Justin cos they have nothing to charge Aiden with. Justin suggests they have him followed until he slips up. Roman wants to warn Hope the man is on the loose ... Meanwhile Hope is working to free Rafe from the chains ... 4 minutes remain and he gasps to go before it is too late! The detective ignores his order and forges ahead with determination ... Victor believes Brady needs backup and wants to send some of his men with him. John, on the other hand, believes it is best to wait and see. Brady was right that Summer might panic if she feels cornered. They all hope he gets there in time before the fugitive has taken flight with Tate ... Julie asks Claire about Tate and she tells them what mom said, that they think Summer stole him. Doug talks positive energy. Julie suggests contacting Shawn D about Hope so he does and leaves another worried message about her whereabouts ... Belle has been waiting for Shawn to come back. Theresa cries there is no hope anyway. Brady arrives with the big news that Summer has been traced to Vegas. Theresa tells Brady she is coming with him ... Much to his dismay, Roman must inform Aiden he is free to go. He adds he expects him to be back for something and silences him when he mentions Hope. He rages to get outta his sight ... Rafe wants Hope to go please. She kisses him on the lips and lets him know she will be back shortly. Close to ONE MINUTE remains for poor Rafe ... Brady wants Theresa to stop and she screams he is her son too. She could use her cell phone connected to the cops if a ransom call came in. No one can stop her. She goes and Brady goes after her ... Phone Summer uses one of her many passport names ... Danielle ... and books a one way ticket to Monte Carlo ... Aiden returns to his room, remembers losing Hope, and trashes the place in a fit of rage ... Doug is waiting and worried. Claire tries to make him feel better by giving him his own advice about being positive. They order sundaes but the worry has not left his eyes. The father senses the daughter is in danger ... Hope races back down to the cellar. They are seconds away from an explosion. She orders Rafe to get down and fires her gun at the wall behind him ... Shawn drives up to the address he was given when all of a sudden ... KABOOM! He shouts Mooooooom! Dust and debris fly through the air .... Naturally next week the worst is assumed but Hope and Rafe have already made their great escape, unseen by viewers ... THE END! |
