Dan and Nicole have made love in the medicine man's bed. She is happily humbled. He is ready to move on with her, and can accept her as is, though this is the beginning step, he warns. They cuddle and kiss and he sighs if she is not over Eric ... Lonely girl Nicole insists she is. Dan solemnly states if not, then they will be done forever ... At the pub, Serena proceeds to tease Eric that he owes her from long ago and this piece of paper proves it! He confirms his signature and is amused she remembered their wager, which he alas lost, which means he does owe her the photograph of her choice. Serena sweetly suggests they head to his place to check out those ... photographs ... They get to his place but Serena does not have pictures on her mind. She slides next to Eric on the sofa and they kiss. She starts to get passionate. Eric suddenly pulls away ... Brady is working on his laptop at the house of Kiriakis. Maggie hopes her appearance has not interrupted the billionaire heir. He assures her he is done. The redhead realizes he is no longer bothered by something. Bedazzled Brady grins he is doing better ... He alludes to something ... someone new. Maggie advises the addict to go slow and steady, play it safe. Once alone, Brady considers and wonders whether that would even be fair to Mel. He decides to discuss it with her in person ... Theresa notices Mel noticing her crying while clutching the baby rattle. Mel cannot help but be affected and gently tries to reach out. Theresa has a meltdown about the mother who did not give her unfortunate infant the rattle and cries even more. Mel asks if she once had a child. Theresa regains her composure and storms out, having given her her "damn form." Mel picks up the rattle and sadly leaves as well, now reminded of her own heartbreak ... Will is still smoldering in Paul's bed. They start getting hot and heavy again until Sonny knocks on the door! Will is startled. Paul grins whoever it is will go away, no worries ... But the Sonny always knocks twice! Will gasps they have to stop and this can never happen again! Paul innocently wonders why. Will pouts he has his reasons ... it is ...complicated ... Outside the hotel room, Derek the dedicated bellboy finds Sonny waiting outside the door. He deduces Paul is out and explains he would like to leave him something that is priceless. He hopes Derek can let him in. The bellboy agrees to allow him in to leave the memento, but only for a moment, and he must accompany him. He gets the key and unlocks the door. When he and Sonny enter, their eyes widen ... There stands Paul in a bathrobe. The sound of the running shower is heard. Paul is aghast. Derek is humble. Sonny is sorry. Paul explains away the shower by stating he was about to step in the shower. Meanwhile, oblivious Will is washing himself with soap in the shower, as though wanting to wash away the fact that he just broke one of the sacred vows of his young marriage ... Lucas and Adrienne await the return of Arianna and the sitter at Will and Sonny's apartment. He has made her a cup of tea and she thanks him profusely, praising him for his sensitivity. He chuckles to tell his illustrious exes. She laughs too, teasing him about his past women, giggling they will not even get into Sami. Lucas helps himself to another cup of strong coffee, enjoying her down-to-earth company. Stunning Serena questions whether Eric is really over Nicole. He buttons his shirt back up and pauses. Mel is at the square alone, sadly staring at the baby rattle. Maggie finds her and she admits she was reminded of the baby she almost had with Phillip, the baby she lost. Some things were just not meant to be. Maggie is sorry ... Brady heads to the hospital, asking after Mel. Theresa hears and gets sarcastic. He tells her she is toxic. Theresa ends up in the lounge alone with Brady and their heated exchange continues ... Paul wants Derek to leave so he scurries off. Paul is pleased that Sonny came to see him. Sonny wants him to have his ball back. Paul is pleased he kept his home run ball and poignantly insists he hold onto it. He wants Sonny to have a part of him. He places the ball back in his hand and Sonny pauses ... Just then the shower stops and Sonny realizes he was not alone. Much to Paul's chagrin, he apologizes and excuses himself in a hurry. Paul hits his head against the door with a curse. Will emerges and wonders what happened ... Shirtless Dan decides he and Nicole might even go on a date tonight, but asks her to say nothing about their revived relationship until he has had a chance to forewarn the family. Nicole eagerly agrees ... Eric explains he is over Nicole. Serena gathers she was too fast too soon and gets to the task at hand - finding the perfect picture. She selects a tropical bird and smiles to frame it, to make up for the lateness of his payment. Eric grins and they shake hands... At the square, Mel stammers seeing the rattle might have rekindled someone's feeling of loss. Maggie now gets a text from Victor, who is waiting for her, having snagged skating championship tickets in Chicago. They leave right away... Theresa calls Brady a big loser. He blasts her for pushing him back into drugs and pinning John's attack on him. He suggests she is heartless and snaps he is glad they are done! She gets sarcastic about him wanting to be with Mel ... He fumes at least they are friends. Mel is way better! And thank God Theresa was not pregnant! She is not even capable of love! Ouch ... Sonny arrives home to Lucas and Adrienne. The sitter and Arianna are still out. Lucas and Sonny wonder where oh where hubby Will could be ... Will gets dressed and deduces Paul is perturbed he must go. Paul mutters everyone has a life and reacts angrily when Will points out there is still life after pitching. Wily Will reasons this could be Paul's big chance. If he came out, it would make a difference and show that some heroes and idols were also gay. There is a big picture here. Paul frowns. He only has Sonny on his mind. Will hopes he thinks about it and departs. Once outside the room, he puts his wedding ring back on with a nervous sigh. He walks away and Derek the dedicated bellboy emerges, having seen! Derek likes two things - Paul Norita and the color of money, not necessarily in that order ... Mel is back at the apartment.Dan announces he and Nicole are officially seeing each other. She accepts his choice but notes Nicole could probably not make any man happy ... Sonny solemnly informs Adrienne that Paul wanted him to have the ball. He pouts Paul has moved on ... Eric flashes back to being in bed and crazy in love with sweet Serena, who loved him right back and told him to be careful in Congo ... He sighs she has not changed since then but he certainly has ... Serena is back in her room. She removes the important secret papers from her safe and steels herself. She is determined to do this right ... Nicole is back at work, where she gets a call from an informant. Mr. Anonymous. He claims to have the scandalous scoop on a beautiful deceiver who just showed up in Salem. Nicole wants a name and she sure gets one ... Serena Mason! THE END |
