Dan arrives at his apartment, where flowers and candles await, along with cute messages. Nicole the hopeless romantic is waiting. Dan is flattered albeit reluctant to jump into another romance. She assures him she knows she was wrong to go after Serena and reasons she really just wanted to convince herself she was good enough, not for Eric but for HIM. Dan the man is the one that she wants so she seductively gets closer ... At the house of Kiriakis, things take a hilarious turn with Brady and Mel, who have both admitted to their feelings. Now what? Brady wants to make sure he will not hurt her. Why Dan and Maggie would kill him! She giggles she would kill him first. Brady does not make a move but stammers he suggests a date though not a real date. A date to talk about a date. Mel agrees and shakes his hand. He drawls he will see her later and she heads to the hospital, her pretty head in a spin. Both are feeling frazzled and bedazzled ... Serena interrupts Theresa, who is torn over the baby rattle she is staring at. She covers and Eric appears. His date offers to wait downstairs when he states he would like a word with his cousin. Theresa is surprised when he assures her he has no cause to be angry but he knows what he sees and she is clearly upset. He can relate, for he too has felt the disappointment over discovering something that once was was really not. He lets her know he is here to listen if ever she needs him. Theresa is grateful. Eric goes to catch up with his girlfriend ... At the square, Lucas and Rafe converse about Lucas' Christmas with Sami and the kids. Johnny misses EJ a great deal. Rafe sighs EJ sure loved his kids and is sorry for Johnny's loss. Lucas points out he could provide him with more cool FBI stuff. Rafe sighs that is not gonna happen cos he was fired from the Salem P.D.! Sonny is at the apartment with mama Adrienne, who is seeking pictures for the scrapbook she is making while awaiting Justin's return from abroad. Will is away working on his secret story ... Sonny produces an old box full of meaningful mementos. He is mesmerized when he finds the only ball Paul ever hit out of the ball park, his Christmas gift once upon a time. Adrienne tells him he is treading on dangerous ground cos Will could find it. Sonny agrees with her advice and decides to give it back to its rightful owner. In person! In Paul's hotel room, Paul teases does Will think he is gay? He does indeed. Paul gets closer and kisses him. Will appears astonished afterwards, perhaps because he did not pull away. Paul teases he has been wanting him to come clean, he could sense it. Will feels this is wrong. Paul dares him to tell him he does NOT want this to go any further. Will cannot and gets on the bed. Paul joins him and they kiss passionately ... Victor Kiriakis is getting a tour of the new club, which is ready and flawless, as it turns out. The real estate agent claims it just came on the market. The Greek grumbles he does not want it for himself but he does want it ... Lucas is livid that Roman fired Rafe! Rafe can only say he is not supposed to speak of the matter. Lucas suggests he become a private investigator. Not possible but he is considering relocating ... to Chicago. Lucas refers to him as a good guy and hopes things will work out for him ... Dan and Nicole tenderly kiss but he remains reluctant to be her Romeo all over again. She insists she needs the connection with him and they should move on together. The medicine man is finding it hard to resist her in that dress ... Theresa regains her composure and leaves Mel an irate message, as she is late for their meeting. She has the form she wanted ... Paul and Will pant as they roll around under the sheets together. Their clothes are strewn around the room ... Sonny bids Adrienne and visitor Lucas adieu as he heads out with something that belongs to Paul, something he intends to give him back ... Will and Paul are out of breath as they lie on their backs. Will is speechless. Paul suggests he feels guilty and smoothly states he knows why ... Will gives him a strange look ... Mel rushes into the hospital, sorry for her tardiness. Theresa is convinced she was with Brady. Mel snaps to mind her own business. Theresa storms back to the other room to get the form she forgot and then sees IT again. The baby rattle. She is drawn to it and holds it, weeping woefully feeling an incredible sense of loss she cannot comprehend. It is in this state that Mel later finds her ... Eric is excited to introduce Serena to Brady at the pub. Brady is polite and friendly, until she mentions that she met Mel in Europe and Mel thinks the world of him! Then brother Brady excuses himself. Eric notices. So does Serena, who adds cousin Theresa was in a strange state today too. She seemed obsessed with a baby rattle, of all things ... Victor approaches Rafe at the square and demands to know the name of that letter writer who got him fired! Rafe is rather uncommunicative. The Greek growls a DiMera did it! Rafe remains uncommunicative. Victor now gruffly suggests he come work for him, to oversee security. He has various ...holdings. Rafe chuckles at the irony and notes no such job opening exists. He suspects Victor made it up for him. Victor hopes he will give it careful consideration cos he could use a good man like him ... Adrienne and Lucas are waiting at Will and Sonny's apartment together. They are waiting for the return of the babysitter and Ari, who are presently at the park. They get to talking. Lucas is concerned about her, given she was without her partner at Christmas. Adrienne admits Justin is feeling further away every time she talks to him long distance. Lucas notes people do connect when they are working in another country, but he is certain Justin has been true. Adrienne tragically tells him her suspicions that her husband is slipping away. She feels it the way a wife can ... Dan has his doubts. Nicole insists they need each other and they share a longer kiss. He then takes her by the hand and leads her to his bedroom. The shirt comes off and things slowly get started ... Paul patiently points out to petrified Will that he knows he wants to be professional and therefore feels rather guilty about sleeping with his subject. He has read all his articles, including the one about his own family, and realizes Will strives to stay objective. He can relate, for he too felt passionate about baseball, which he ironically had to give THIS up for. He assures Will he is going to write a professional article. Will adds without mentioning this. He would never out Paul but does point out now could be the right time for him to come out. Paul teases is this why he wanted this to happen between them - so he could write about it? Will replies with an emphatic NO. Passionate Paul wants proof. Will obliges and they get hot and heavy all over again, unaware that Sonny has just arrived at his secret ex-lover's door. Poor Sonny has no idea that his secret lover has just become Will's! THE END! Ahead on Days: Nicole realizes she was right to be suspicious! Mel is sorry for Theresa. Lucas gives Adrienne a pep talk. Sonny does not get the full story. |
