There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Chad looks into his son's eyes and that is when he sees the truth! Images race through his head as Abigail emotionally implores him to come back to them. He weeps with joy and sadness. The spell is broken! He is so sorry for what he put them through. She hugs him and weeps with him, relieved for his return ... Hope is on the couch at home having a horrid nightmare that once was real. She dreams when Ciara was held hostage by Malcolm, then remembers Stefano's veiled threat and wakes up with a start. She immediately summons Rafe ... Rafe is with star model sister Gabi at the square when he gets the text from Hope. Glam Gabi teases him and admits she is waiting for her own call from a certain someone ... At the hospital, Theresa gives sleeping Brady a pep talk as Roman emotionally does the same for son Eric, whom he could not bear to lose. Nicole sobs at Dan's bedside and praises him for saving one of his best friends, still uncertain which one it will be. She has his man beads and his wallet with their photos in happier days. Tis a tough time ... John wants to give his heroic heart to Brady so that both boys survive. Marlena gasps he cannot. Dr. Kayla counters that is an insane idea. Maggie urges Kayla to tell her which one would have the best chance of survival. That would be Eric without the transplant, for his ailing heart could be cured with medication though it is high risk. However, if Brady does not get a new heart soon he faces certain death. And so the choice is made by Maggie for BRADY. Marlena leaves in tears and returns to sleeping Eric. John is right behind her. He places his hands on her unhappy shoulders as she laments it makes no sense. What will this mean to them if ... He drawls they will be strong for Eric together. That is what they can do. He has tears in his eyes as he faithfully stands by the woman he loves ... Chad and Abigail exchange emotional I love yous and kiss. They face the pleasant doctor together, who assures them Thomas is well. Abigail must go to Jen. Chad smiles he will stay to spend time with his son. And so he does after another kiss with the woman he loves ... Woman in black Hope is highly agitated when Rafe arrives at her house. She reasons Stefano must have been the mastermind, the man whom Malcolm made that last call to. At the time it seemed too obvious. She makes it clear she cannot wait for Rafe to find proof and vows to bring the bastard down. Rafe urges her not to take the law into her own hands for then she would be no better than the dastardly DiMeras ... Maggie and Nicole must say their final farewells to Daniel until they meet again. Nicole is a nervous wreck and believes God is intentionally punishing her. The orderlies arrive to prep him for surgery ... The clock is ticking. In the OR Dr. Finn prepares to remove Dan's noble heart and tells his friend he will do this the right way as he would ... Abigail is astonished to find Jen standing by the OR, fully dressed. Jan sadly states she was released and wanted to stay until Brady is out of surgery. Abigail is horrified to hear of the crash that led to Dan's demise. Jen admits JJ is not yet aware of the loss as Dan was just declared dead moments ago. Mother and daughter weep for the wonderful man Jen assumed would always be her friend ... Time passes slowly for the family members waiting for an update. Victor is with Maggie as Phillip paces in the background. Belle sticks close to her father. Theresa loses patience and wants an update but Victor patiently suggests she wait. Kayla eventually emerges with promising news. Brady has the new heart and is breathing on his own. So far so good. Maggie steps away to call Melanie. John wipes a tear from his eye and emotionally asks to see his son. Kayla replies not yet as they must monitor the patient lest he reject the heart. It is still a tad touch and go. John steps away to call Brady's brother Paul. Theresa thanks Kayla. Meanwhile Marlena is at Eric's side, assuring him that she and his father are here for him. All of a sudden his machine beeps fast and furious. Marlena cries out for a nurse. As it turns out there is no need for alarm. An arrhythmia was a slight side effect. The nurse gives him something to stop the beeping. Marlena breathes a sigh of relief ... Maggie returns to Victor, who asks after Melanie. She was relieved for Brady as she still loves him. Mel believes they were lucky to have Dan as long as they did. Paul is now present for his new family. Belle sits beside John, who gives her a hug. Kayla has another update. Things are looking good ... Abigail tells Jen of Chad coming back to her and Thomas, then cries for Dan again ... Chad is with Thomas in his room and tells his son how bright their future will be. A nurse arrives and he exits to take care of something, his eyes filled with fatherly determination ... Nicole breaks down when she is permitted to say another final farewell to Dan. He no longer has a heart but she pulls the sheet down to see his face. She cries and starts to collapse until Finn catches her ... Hope's eyes are haunted when she shares her fear with Rafe that unless Stefano is stopped the DiMeras will keep coming after her loved ones. Rafe places his hands on her shoulders. He implores her not to become like a DiMera. That is not the Hope he knows ... Chad storms into DiMera mansion and snaps at manservant Harold to wake up sleeping Stefano and Andre. He must see them at once ... Finn gently asks Nicole if there is anything he can do. She wails no and runs out ... Belle is sitting by Eric and holding his hand. Phillip appears and asks how he is. She sighs he is the same. He is glad that Brady is doing better. Belle gets choked up and wishes they would get two miracles on this night ... John watches the woman he loves in the chapel as she asks God for a miracle, to bring her son back to her ... Victor offers to take Maggie home. He will come back after to stay here for Brady ... As Brady sleeps, Theresa emotionally praises him for being so strong. She intends to tell Tate of this night, when he came back to them. Brady moves a finger closer to her hand and she places her hand over his, all smiles. Brady is beginning to stir ... THE END!
