There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... As Tom and Alice's framed photo smiles from the mantel, Hope and Ciara come into the cold Horton cabin with Rafe and Chase. Rafe is all smiles. So is Hope. He takes Chase out to chop more firewood after a fire is started. They need to keep the home fire burning. The cottage gets cozy fast. Hope folds the blankets as Ciara teases her about Rafe making her happy ... Brady winces as Theresa helps him sit at home. He is still in pain. He tenderly tells her not to make anything of his closeness with Nicole. It is only about Dan's heart. She smiles she knows. He assures her he loves only her and they share a kiss. Dr. Fynn arrives to see Brady. Brady sends Theresa off to her meeting with corporate cats Kate and Nicole. Once they are alone, he updates Fynn on his dream of seeing a woman he assumes is Nicole in Malibu. It must have been Dan's dream. He yearns to know more about those Malibu days. Fynn explains Dan went on leave after losing his first wife Rebecca. He wanted to be by the beach. Brady wonders why he never made any mention of it to him ... At DiMera mansion bloodied Andre leaves Chad a desperate voice message to contact him about his discovery. He then summons his discreet doctor ... Nicole faces Eric and angrily asks why he came. He woefully murmurs he wanted to apologize and urges her to tell him how to make things right. She rages things will never be right between them again! She sobs she should have forced him to get into the cab when he was drunk ... The doctor wants Andre to get to a hospital to have that gash stitched up. Andre insists on a home recovery, no hospitals. The doctor insists on covering that raw wound on his face with a gauze until later and tells him to rest. Andre, however, has somewhere to go. There is no rest for the wicked, you see ... Andre summons his thug, who is shocked by his appearance and offers to get whoever ... Andre gets down to business, wanting an update on Rafe and Hope's whereabouts. They are headed for Smith Island for a few days. The thug offers to search the house in Salem. Andre leers he will do that himself ... Eric's eyes are filled with despair when Nicole blasts him for killing her fiancee and his own bff. She is in the HELL he made for both of them and screeches to stay away from her forever. Then she shuts the door in his face. Eric woefully walks to the park, gets what he needs, and drinks whisky from the bottle in his bag ... At the cozy Horton cabin, Chase and Rafe return with some logs they found. Ciara would like to show Chase around the lagoon. Hope is glad her mouthy daughter is back. Once alone with Rafe, she suggests they ice fish for their dinner. Rafe, however, grew up in the slums, where no one ice fished , Hope shows him how to put bait on his rod and praises his tough past. It makes him good at understanding people as a cop ... Eric is about to take another drink on his park bench when Jen appears and tries to stop him. He slurs he is worthless. Jen suddenly snatches the bottle from his hand and calls Lucas to come to her house asap. Then she hauls Eric home to meet with the AA expert for some much needed help ... Catty Kate and tired Theresa are waiting for Nicole at the club. Nicole arrives. Kate is miffed she was late and steps away when designer Favia calls. She coos and Theresa and Nicole are left alone. Theresa complains about Kate being bossy. Nicole sighs she has not the strength to fight futile battles. From now on she will carefully choose her battles. Theresa feels if they let Kate push them around while working with her, then they would be better off dumping her from the equation. Nicole heartily agrees. Theresa gets a devious look in her eye ... Andre slips into Hope's house. He gracefully hunts high and low until he finds what he is looking for in the closet - Hope's unregistered gun, which has fired three shots recently. He takes it as Shawn arrives at the door. Hearing the noise, Andre glides upstairs and waits. Shawn enters and asks if anyone is home. Mom? No answer ... Nicole suggests she and Theresa start their own new company with Brady for backing. She suspects he would not be interested in supporting Kate without them. Theresa is all smiles. When Kate returns with her bossy orders and sarcasm, they scarcely answer her. If only she knew what they were up to! At Horton house, Eric thinks there is nothing he can learn from Lucas. Lucas informs him he drove drunk with young Will in the car. He has been where he is. Eric refuses to attend an AA meeting with him. Jen tells him to try and get better for he can then serve those in need while he is in prison. Eric wants to be alone in his misery and bolts ... Ciara returns with Chase, who has been sprayed by a Smith Island skunk. Hope suggests he bathe with tomato juice and leaves almost gagging with fellow fisherman Rafe. Chase heads for the bathroom, then asks Ciara to pass him another pair of pants from his bag. Ciara opens his bag and finds much more than she bargained for ... Andre hides behind a wall. Shawn comes close but goes the other way. Andre slithers down the dark stairs and makes his great escape ... Theresa is back home with Brady. He updates her on Fynn telling him of Dan's tough time which led to his California dreamin. Theresa would rather focus on their dreams and gives Brady a kiss ... Nicole is back at the empty apartment she used to share with Dan. She picks up his picture to tell him the latest. She grins she is going to shake Kate and do it HER way. He would be proud ... Jen races after Eric. He stops at the square and wonders how she can stand the sight of him after what he did to Dan. Jen declares Dan would do the same thing and he would also tell him he was not a bad man, just a good man who had done a bad thing. He can overcome... Ciara is horrified by the phone she finds in Chase's bag and gasps in disgusted disbelief ... Shawn leaves a note for his mother and walks out of the house, unaware that Andre was ever there ... Andre heads back to the house of DiMera, where he blasts his thug for stupidly sending him a text while he was breaking and entering. Shawn had heard a noise but thankfully found no one. He confirms he got exactly wot he was looking for and tears the gauze from his face, revealing the hideous gash. Now fatha's killers will see what they made him suffer! He glances down at surveillance photos of Rafe and Hope outside the house and smacks them with his angry hand. There will be NO MERCY! THE END |
