Length: 1,395 descriptive words Monday, January 25, 2016 Episode 12,767 Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Steve frantically calls Kayla and leaves another message. Joey grumbles he has not heard from her and exits, feeling down. Steve suspects something and calls Kayla's D.C. hotel, only to be told she never checked in and never gave a reason. Steve takes off with his cool leather jacket ...Ciara has summoned Rafe to the house, claiming Hope wants him to join them with Chase for some R and R and fishing at Horton cabin. Hope appears and smiles that is her spin ... Andre hears workmen above and conceals himself. He comes out once the voices vanish and comes across fatha under the rubble. He finds his hand with the phoenix ring first and cries OH MY GOD. He now knows Stefano is gone ... Above ground, Chad approaches the foreman, who informs him this building will BLOW within minutes. Chad mutters he must have been given the wrong address. In the basement, Andre assures fatha he is coming and starts to push the rubble off him. But then the building IS DEMOLISHED. KABOOM! The earth shakes as Chad watches form above. Down below, Andre is thrown and everything goes BLACK ... Desperate Joe calls Ava from school. From the square, she refuses to meet him again but he begs her so they meet up at the park. They sit and he thanks her for this, it means much. He has been going out of his mind! She is glad he called cos she could not walk away without giving him a gift - Cubs season tickets. His face falls, especially when she smiles if she could she would go with him and sit close to him. He gasps he wants no gift and suggests they run away from Salem so they can be together ... Chad arrives at Horton house and updates Abigail on the building that was demolished. She hopes Andre was not inside. He quips maybe Andre wanted HIM demolished. She urges him to stay away from Andre and now talks plans but Chad is distracted ... Steve searches high and low after picking the lock of Ava's hotel room. He comes across Kayla's fallen charm and recognizes it as the one from the bracelet he gave her ... Ciara insists Rafe is like family, which is why she invited him. She tells him to consider and leaves for school. Hope and Rafe discuss and he wonders. Hope admits she told her daughter Andre DiMera suspected her of doing something to Stefano. She apologizes for the awkward position Rafe was put in and wonders whether he agrees she should leave town for a time ... Ava explains to Joe that what he is sweetly suggesting is simply not possible. Besides, she is terminally ill. He insists they could find a cure down in Mexico and blurts out he loves her and cannot live without her. Ava hugs him back and softly states she loves him too ... Chad has just spoken on the phone with Lois of real estate fame. It was about DiMera mansion. Father fell behind on mortgage payments - he took out a mortgage loan after Sami stole his money. Abigail would rather not discuss. Chad suggests what he should do after the bank forecloses. He feels no one would buy the mansion, given its history, and grins the bank would sell it back to him for a song. Abigail protests. He reasons he has the funds, given how much father gave him and how wisely he invested. She notes evil Andre resides there. Chad offers to kick him out and gushes it could be their perfect palace. Abigail is even more aghast. He takes her by the hand and gently tells her to come with so he can convince her ... Ciara catches up with Chase at school and suggests he join her, mom, and Rafe at Horton cabin. Chase is OUT, claiming it is cos he does not dig cabins in winter. Ciara wishes he would accompany them especially as she is trying to bring hopelessly devoted Rafe and lonely Hope together. Chase cannot believe she is serious and reminds her his father Aiden recently married Hope. Ciara urges him to forget about his father and what he did. Chase's eyes flicker when he finds an angle that interests him. He notes the couple she wants to bring together - Rafe and Hope - would naturally need a lot of time alone in order to connect. Ciara agrees. He now hopes tonight is still on for the friends. She assures him it is and must get going. Chase's eyes mirror the mischief in his mind ... Joey is over the moon that Ava loves him. He believes they can be together. She stops and reminds him she is dying. He declares they can find a cure in Mexico together. She woefully tells him they can never be and implores him to respect her wish. What she wishes is for him to go back to school and live his life, be free. Joey stands up and takes off hanging his head. Ava sighs at least she took care of that problem and turns, only to come face to face with FURIOUS Steve ... Hope wonders what Rafe feels - should she go to the cabin with the kids? She updates him on sharing Andre's accusation concerning Stefano with Ciara and adds she did not admit it was accurate. Rafe murmurs by now the demolition is a fait accompli and due to the compressor trucks Stefano will never be found. However, Andre will likely hunt high and low for a while. He agrees Hope should get out of town for a time. She asks him to join her and he questions whether she would be comfortable with him given their recent uncomfortable moment. Hope smiles all is well and suggests he go get his boots. Rafe departs with a grin to do just that ... Chad has dragged Abigail and the baby carriage to a big house every Horton dreads - the DiMera mansion! She is tense out so he tenderly takes her hand and tells her to imagine a new improved mansion, with plenty of light and love, redesigned by HER. He paints a picture of Thomas with his toys and a dog named Fluffy, plus a room for baby Daisy. He begs her to at least consider. Abigail agrees to think it over but does not necessarily agree their next baby will be a girl. He gushes that is all he asks and gives the woman he loves a romantic kiss. She pauses and looks around the room, perhaps daring to dream along with him ... Ava sighs from one problem to another. She accuses Steve of stalking her. He counters he was following the trail to his son and blasts her for toying with Joey and his teen hormones. She warns him Joey wanted them to run away together. Steve sighs he will have to speak with him and then holds up the charm he found on the floor of her room. He demands to know what she did to Kayla. They argue and he shakes her roughly, raging he will never help her find her son now. Ava hisses he is no better than Kayla. She came over high and almighty and got what she deserved. She knocked her out. Steve worries she is ... Ava leers she is not dead but she is not here so if he ever wants to see his sweetness again, he must find her son first ... Joey sulks at his school locker. Ciara approaches and asks him to be sure to come to their gathering tonight. She refuses to take no for an answer and assures him they will cheer him up. Then she flounces off. Joey now notices a friend nearby who still has a fake ID and lets him know he needs a bottle of booze ... The building has come crashing down but as always, there are ashes among the ruins. First a gloved hand moves, then Andre's bloodied face wakes up in the darkness. Behold, the new era of DiMera LIVES ... THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Steve feels the pressure. Joey hits the bottle big time! Andre vows REVENGE! |
