Daughter Mel is with Dan at the apartment. She wants to let him know that she and Brady have decided to date. He bursts out laughing, appreciating the joke but this is no joke! Dan stops laughing and gets grim. He has grave concerns about Brady, who has been through much recently. He might not be good for her! Mel pouts and points out they have not gone on an official date yet and are not even sure this thing will work. However, if it does ... He wants to know whether she loves him. She sighs it is too soon to say! But make no mistake, Brady is a good guy, he is no Chad DiMera or Phillip Kiriakis. He is her bff who is always there for her, the only man who has interested her since Chad the cad ... Dan drawls he is too old for his daughter. Mel muses she is mature beyond her years and adds Maggie knows about her intent to date Brady. Dan now acts like he accepts the possibility of them pairing up and they share a tender father/daughter embrace. He is still not smiling, though ... At the square, Theresa snarls at Brady the loser. He snaps they are done and starts to go after getting sarcastic about her screwing up her life. Theresa stares as a woman walks past carrying a newborn baby wrapped in a blanket. She suddenly staggers and hyperventilates. Brady turns back, bewildered. Eve appears, asking what is the matter. Theresa gasps she may have seen something but does not elaborate. Brady crouches down by her side with concern. Theresa catches her breath, regains her composure, and hisses at him to go. Once they are alone, she angrily excuses herself from Eve. Eve senses a new man in her life and says so. Theresa retorts to worry about her own daughter cos she has been snooping around JJ's personal life, who he has been hanging around. She is clearly NOT over him. Eve hastily excuses herself ... At Salem U, JJ catches Cole conversing with Paige and orders him away. Cole talks back. JJ punches him in the face! Paige screams at JJ for daring to tell her who to talk to. She refuses to listen to his reasoning and snaps to go find his other woman. JJ does better than that. He calls her ... At the club, Ben complains to attentive Abigail that T was worried about his hours or job being cut and so is he! All their business was at the new nightclub last night! Abi assures him T will not be laid off and neither will he, on account of the fact that Chad is seeing his sister. Ben scowls about Chad and then gets busy kissing his girlfriend over the counter. Rafe grabs Jordan in a passionate kiss in her office. Chad stands and stares at the scene. No one notices him, not even when he walks out and throws the flowers into the trash can. He is already done by the time Rafe comes up for air. Jordan blasts him for the kiss cos she is with Chad now! Rafe sighs he is sorry. Chad the cad plans to make Jordan sorry - real sorry. He returns to club, where young lovers Ben and Abigail kiss in bliss. He gives the pair a murderous stare. After the girl is gone, Chad slithers toward Ben like a cobra ... Rafe is worried. He is worried that Jordan will regret trusting Chad and worried he will hurt her deeply cos that is what DiMeras do ... Back at the club, Commissioner Abe and new hire John Black discuss the recent drama down at the docks. Abe is relieved to have a good man like John on the job. He wonders what made him decide. John drawls it was Marlena. There is nothing like the support of the woman you love ... Meanwhile Chad taunts bewildered Ben about all the experience Abigail has gained sincee he had his way with her. Ben wants him to stop. Chad grins and keeps going ... Now alone at the square, Theresa wonders what has her so rattled. Tough guy Clint comes over and tells her she was talking to herself ... Paige apologizes to Cole. JJ calls Eve cos they need to talk! He insists she meet him at Horton house in 5 minutes. Eve has her doubts but agrees. JJ takes one last look at Paige being conned by creepy Cole, who has not changed, and takes off for his meeting with Eve. Cole now notes Paige and JJ must have broke up because of another girl. He laments he lost his girl Bev to JJ, just cos he felt like breaking them up. He complains about having no friends and gets her to smile when he speaks a sentence about her being cool into his new app, which converts it into a song ... Dan the man meets Brady at the ornate house of Kiriakis. He is here to lay down the law! Chad taunts Ben that Jordan is better in bed than Abi. Ben snaps and a fight is born. He lunges from the bar and beats on him. Chad retaliates, but Ben gains the upper hand and starts to choke him. John and Abe spring into action. Chad has taken quite a beating and coughs. John hangs onto Ben and growls to cut it out. What the hell is going on! Chad claims this is not the first time Ben attacked him . He has anger issues ... At Dan's apartment, Mel assures Maggie that it went alright with Dan. At the house of Kiriakis, Dan assures Brady he told Mel he will accept them BUT if he ever hurts her, he will make him regret it! Brady gets it and can relate. He wants to protect Mel too. However,he is never going to hurt her ... Mel assures worried Maggie that she will never hurt Brady her bff. They share an embrace. Theresa decides she would rather spend the day with Clint and call in sick. Anne appears and orders her back to the hospital. Clint talks tough. Theresa decides to do her job. Anne later warns her she is playing with fire with such a creep but Theresa insists he is good for her because he is not Brady ... Clint is outside on a clandestine call. He boasts he not only watched the subject but got real close too. Of course, he knows what he has to do if things go to hell ... Dangerous music plays ... Anne warns Theresa she knows nothing about her dangerous new boy toy. Theresa agrees and that is the way she likes it ... John has summoned Rafe to the club since he is said to already know the history between Ben and Chad. Rafe reminds Ben he warned him what would happen if he did it again. That is all John needs to hear. As Ben has assaulted Chad in the past as well, he has no choice but to handcuff him. Big Ben stands up and his hands are cuffed behind his back like a common criminal ... Shirtless Chad holds an icepack to is sore ribs in a hospital room. Jordan and Abigail race in and wonder what happened. Chad does not mince words. Ben happened! Jordan is aghast. Abigail eyes him and asks what he said to him ... When Eve arrives at Horton house, JJ exclaims she has to make Paige stay away from Cole. He is a not so reformed drug dealer who even planted drugs on her daughter! Eve is suspicious that JJ merely wants to scuttle the competition. He warns her Cole is bad news. She quips she knew how to handle him and he was no angel. JJ is exasperated. Eve impulsively places her hand on his chest and tells him to calm down. Their eyes lock and they feel the forbidden heat all over again ... Dan is feeling down. Maggie gives him a pep talk about letting go and just being there to love your child. He realizes that is what she does with him and hugs his mother ... Mel pays Brady a visit at the house of Kiriakis. They are alone as she updates him on her discussions. Now ...how about a date? Grinning Brady is all for it and they kiss in bliss ... Commissioner Abe comes into Chad's room and notes he has no real injuries, as per the doctor. Does he intend to press charges? Abigail argues there has to be an explanation. Jordan offers to talk to her brother. Chad gets up, coldly brushes by her, and informs Abe he IS pressing charges ... Eve boasts she will be able to deal with that boy who sounds like JJ. JJ snaps does that mean she will sleep with him too? Eve starts to slap him but he grabs her hand. They get closer, their eyes filled with the desire that has almost destroyed them ...
