Length: 1,295 descriptive words Wednesday, January 20, 2016 Episode 12,764 Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Eric tosses and turns in his hospital bed, haunted by images of the night he caused the death of his best friend. He wakes up in a cold sweat and disconnects his machine ... At the Salem square, Shawn tries to tell Claire he cannot stop her mother from going to Vegas. She insists he fight to get her away from the clutches of evil Phillip Kiriakis ... In Vegas Phil loved the Belle kiss and seductively suggests blackjack. Belle seductively replies only by her rules and the game gets underway. Soon Phillip is down to his last bit of clothing. Belle demands the briefs before the socks. She then gets him exactly where she wants him - in bed ... Shawn notes he and Belle had problems before they came back to Salem. Claire counters Belle is lonely. She hears her crying at night. She gets Shawn to admit he misses her as well and convinces him to just call her ... Meanwhile Phillip is resting in bed with Belle, praising her for her playfulness. They discuss their old days and the now. She laments Victor is not keen on her. Phillip cares not cos he wants her and kisses her ... Abigail arrives at the hospital, where Chad has brought Jen. Jen emerges wearing a back brace so she no longer has pain. Finn praises Chad for bringing her in time to fix the vertebrae and hands over a prescription as well as a physical therapist referral. Abigail happily hugs Chad and Jen smiles about him saving her. She happily hugs him as well. Abigail is over the moon that her mother has now accepted the man she loves and means to marry ... Andre is dumbfounded to discover the blood on the statue near Stefano's chess set. He snaps a photo with his phone, enlarges it, and gets intense ... Roman pays Hope a visit at the house, asking when she is returning to work. Hope gasps never and covers by claiming she wants to be home more for Ciara and Chase. Roman feels she is hiding something and hugs his sister-in-law, softly suggesting she confide in him. Hope sighs she can trust in him and seems to change her mind about keeping her deadly secret from him ... Andre sweeps into Rafe's office announcing he has proof that fatha met with foul play. Rafe acts disinterested. Andre shows him the bloody photograph. Rafe casually counters Stefano the diabetic pricked his finger frequently so that is not necessarily proof. Andre warns once he has the test results proving that is the blood of the phoenix, he intends to present it as evidence. He concludes Hope killed him and Rafe is her co-conspirator. He scoffs she is not worth it and waltzes out. Rafe starts to sweat. Lani lurks nearby watching ... John's mama pours the tea and tells him he reminds her of his father. John gets choked up as she informs him he is no longer alive. He emotionally informs her he longs to know his story, a hint of sadness in his eyes even though this was supposed to be a happy mother-and-son reunion. ... Eric is at the morgue, where he finds bff Dan's body bag and sobs in sorrow, for Dan and the loved ones who lost him, especially Nicole. He vows to pay the price and somehow make things right. Tis a tall order ... As Claire convinces her father to call her mom who misses him, Phillip is in bed with Belle, praising her for her playfulness. He kisses the one he wants again, then laments no time is left for he has a meeting. He gets in the shower and Belle gets an unexpected call from Shawn, who announces he is in Salem ... John gets choked up when he is shown his late father's distinguished cross and purple heart from the Korean war. She explains he died a few weeks before he was born in Baton Rouge, USA. John fights back the tears. There was not enough money coming in and she could not have taken care of an infant while working. She had to put everything up for auction and met a couple connected to a friend who were totally taken with him. John knows she received money for him. She suggests it was a small amount and sighs she was trying to do what was best for him. John notes the Alamains found him in an orphanage. The sweet little old southern lady laments the couple were lost in a car accident shortly after the adoption and greedy relatives had the adoption reversed. He takes it from there and tells her about the Alamains sending him to a school run by an agency he does not care to elaborate on. That happened after his faked death as a lad ... Shawn wears his heart on his sleeve and suggests he still loves Belle and regrets the mistake he made by letting her go. He wants to try again. She is evasive about what she is doing in Vegas but agrees they can talk when she comes home. Phillip has overheard and wonders whether she still wants Shawn ... Jen enters Horton house after thanking Chad for helping her again. Abigail waits with him outside and gushes things are good. He kisses her and brings up their needing a new home with Thomas. Abigail talks wedding plans. Chad kisses her again in bliss, then excuses himself for a meeting with a real estate broker, to get the ball rolling on their new home ... Before Hope can blurt out what she did, Rafe interrupts. Roman departs and reminds her they can continue later. Rafe is horrified to hear she was close to coming clean. Hope is even more horrified when she hears about Andre's evidence. Rafe urges her not to panic ... Abigail cannot wait for her happily ever after now that Jen is a Chad believer ... Roman is at the hospital, unable to locate Eric. Eric returns from the morgue and Finn gets him back in his bed, telling him next time he feels the need to move, message the nurse. Eric agrees and admits to Roman where he was. Roman sympathetically suggests his son take his time getting better. Eric woefully notes he will have to arrest him as soon as he recovers. Roman is at a loss ... Shawn is back with Claire and tells her he talked to her mom. He asks about school and she gushes about the singing program that got her an audition at Julliard. He encourages the teen to try and takes her hand, smiling things will be looking up for their family soon ... Belle snaps she has nothing to say to Shawn anymore and continues to make out with Phillip ... John announces he now has all the answers he was after and mutters she poisoned him as he falls to the floor. The little old lady lets out a gasp ... At the square, Andre assures his associate they will have the check soon. Then he ends the call and spies Chad. He angrily informs brotha he has proof positive that Hope Brady killed fatha. The question is WOT are they going to do about it? Chad is speechless ... Rafe suggests Hope take a leave instead of calling attention to herself by quitting the force. He will stand by her. Hope is grateful he is on her side. Rafe looks deeply into her eyes and gets closer, murmuring he is here for her. And he means always ... THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: John was not counting on a killer! Ciara sees something between Hope and Rafe. Nicole discovers Brady has been dreaming of her. |
