Sonny is at his computer, trying to fix the finances with Will. When he finds out payment for the article is conditional on its completion, he wonders how long it will take. Will has no real answer to when but it has taken an unexpected turn and is going to be BIG. Sonny is impressed and intrigued. Will gets evasive when he asks about the unexpected turn it took. He flashes back to his tryst with Paul and gets flustered ... Sexy Serena is in her cocktail mini, looking like a lady who wants a night on the town. But the truth is,she is troubled. She takes another look at her pictures that appear to show Eric on a bed and reminds herself she cannot fail at her mission! Knock knock! She puts the envelope aside and opens the door. There stands her date Eric bearing a gift. She bids him enter and happily opens it. Tis the framed photograph of the tropical bird she requested. Her eyes intense, she gushes that picture means much to her. They have plans to head out to the hot new club already being tweeted about but first share a passionate kiss. The envelope falls to the floor. Eric picks it up. Serena snaps not to open it, her eyes filled with dread. Eric blinks, still holding the envelope in his holy hand ... Dan has not buttoned up his shirt yet when sexy date Nicole arrives at his man pad. She came early to plant a kiss on him. And another and another! Dan breathes they should not be late for the new club, he promised pal Rafe they would be there to show their support. Dan decides he now needs a cold shower. Once alone, Nicole gets another call from her hot lead, who wants an answer. Does she or does she not want the scandalous scoop on one Serena Mason ...? She flashes back to Dan's dire warning that they would be done if she indicated any interest in Eric. She makes her decision ... at least for now ... Maggie, the lady of the Kiriakis mansion, is most displeased to come upon Melanie and Brady kissing. They stammer up an attempt at an explanation but the redhead is no fool. She knows precisely what she saw and sends Mel out of the room so that she may have a word alone with Brady. Once they are alone, she lectures him, as his sponsor, for being so reckless. After the year he had, he is not ready for another relationship ... Back at the Wilson apartment, Sonny sighs about Adrienne not answering his text about babysitting tonight. Will wonders whether Lucas will respond. Knock knock! Tis spiffy grandpa Lucas reporting for babysitting duty! The guys are grateful. Lucas wants to have a look at the princess. Will kisses Sonny and will see him later. Lucas grimaces. Another interview? Sonny proudly confirms as much and he heads for the club, where he is working tonight ... Bright lights, loud music,and drinks galore, This is Salem's hottest new club, managed by Rafe Hernandez, ex-cop ex-FBI, great guy who greets all his guests with a grin. Theresa and Anne have arrived. Theresa sticks out her cleavage, unaware of the rugged one's name,and coyly asks about the drinks. When Rafe hears her name, he gushes papa Shane is an old pal of his who saved his life! He tells the story. Theresa is relieved when he gets back to work. Lucas has the pretty little princess all to himself, until Adrienne arrives to answer the call of the babysitter. She insists on staying and praises the beautiful granddaughter. They both do. Adrienne wants to play with her, but lets Lucas do the diaper changing. The mood is light. Lucas asks about the memory scrapbook she sent Justin. She sighs he believed it to be bulky. Lucas insists real pictures are better than digital cos nothing can go wrong. His humorous approach makes Adrienne giggle and enjoy their time together. She wonders what is new with him. He saw a famous pitcher in town - Paul Norita... Will is in his office. Paul arrives, noting the rest of the place is like a deserted ghost town. Will had wanted the time to be right cos he intends to be discreet about ... the article. This office makes it easier for him to focus, Paul muses not like the kind of focus they had in his room. Will gets back to the topic of their timely article. It is a major thing that Paul is coming out. Paul gets sarcastic. Will assures him it is going to help people. Paul quips it will help the magazine, but all people will say is look at the sports star F** (rhymes with "gag"). Will is surprised to hear he F word from his lips but it is certainly not the first time he has heard it. Paul claims he is only coming out because of what happened between them. He gets curious about Will's coming out. He listens with interest as he learns that Will's alibi as a murder suspect was his very first visit to a gay club. What made him go there,what made him choose the life? Will sagely states it already was his life. Of course he had the support of a wonderful family member to help him along the way, and there was also a very special person who offered his unconditional support. Paul sighs he once had someone special but pushed him away. Will asks about his family. Paul suddenly changes his mind about the whole thing ... Maggie is worried Brady could get hurt. Mel, who has been listening outside the closed door, comes in, clearly hurt that Maggie mistrusts her. Maggie now asks for a word alone with Mel. Brady leaves the room and now listens at the door. Dan the man is taking a steamy shower. Nekid Nicole joins him. He wonders about that ringing phone he heard. It was hers but she turned down the hot lead ... Now onto another kind of hotness ... Serena stammers the envelope contains part of her research - confidential medical data. Eric believes her. She puts it away and they leave for the hot new club together ... Closeup of the framed picture ... Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words ... Sonny's club is dead tonight, due to the opening of Victor's new club. Sonny is at work on his computer and assures employee T things will pick up. He points out they are also open during the day, unlike the nightclub. T complains that bff Will has been ignoring his texts. Sonny explains he is hard at work on a secret article for Sonics ... The nightclub is packed. Manager Rafe graciously greets Serena and Eric. Inside Anne and Theresa have not had any luck picking anyone up. Anne inadvertently hit on a man who was married. The drinks abound ... Eric steps to the bar to get some drinks for himself and his date. Serena steps over to the ladies room ...Theresa sees a hottie from behind and flirts to buy her a drink. Eric turns around in surprise. Theresa is horrified she almost hit on her cousin. Eric is worried about her. Theresa is in a hurry to get Anne and leave the club, which was a bust for the both of them ... But she still wants to score tonight ... Maggie laments she and Victor knew there was something strange going on New Year's Eve. Mel assures her they are trying to find out what this is and they are being responsible. The redhead reasons Brady's last year ... Mel reasons they are friends, just like she and Victor were before they found love. Maggie wonders what if this is not love? Brady bursts back in and dramatically declares at least they will know.And they will still be friends regardless. The redhead realizes they are not teenagers but advises them to proceed with caution. They agree and she leaves the room, having been sworn to secrecy. And so it comes to pass that pretty in pink Mel and billionaire heir Brady are officially trying to find out what this thing between them is ... They politely shake hands, agreeing to continue tomorrow, in the light of day ... Adrienne acts like she has only heard of Paul Norita. Lucas wonders why he would come to a place like Salem in the off season. Adrienne changes the subject. She will make them both tea. Lucas finds Will and Sonny's cribbage game and a cribbage challenge is born ... Rafe greets Dan and glittery Nicole at the new club he is managing. Dan teases him about the Titan jacket, then heads back to the car for his forgotten phone. Nicole tries a new club cocktail and gives it her blessing ... Meanwhile Eric is searching for Serena ... Serena walks past the bar just as Nicole does. Oops, Nicole spills her drink and apologizes. Serena stares her down and accuses her of doing it on purpose. Nicole notes someone bumped her but Serena does not believe it ... Dan comes back to the club and wonders where Nicole might be. He and Eric meet up and get a bad feeling ... Theresa and Anne sip wine at the town square. Theresa makes eyes at an unshaven lone guy nearby. Anne discretely steps away. Theresa wiggles up with her wine and flirts. Eerie music plays. Casual Clint finds out she is now alone and drawls she should have someone to party with. Theresa takes the bait ... Sonny arrives home. Adrienne is elated she creamed Lucas at cribbage. Lucas vows to beat her next time. Adrienne giggles as he goes. The baby is asleep. Adrienne notes Will is late. Sonny admits he has no idea how late he might be ... Meanwhile Paul has suddenly decided he cannot come out and takes off. Will takes off after him ... Serena the siren roughly pushes past Nicole, who loses her cool. She snaps at the beech not to shove her and shoves right back. Serena now sends Nicole flying across the room into a black leather sofa. Nicole gasps and glares daggers. THIS MEANS WAR! THE END |
