Replay of Ben dropping the dad is the donor bombshell. Jordan is mortified about Clyyyyde. Chad is surprised as well. A reporter asks about Clyde. Jordan takes off to another room, Chad in hot pursuit. Jordan is aghast that Abigail was also in on the deceit and feels doubly deceived in this nightmare. Meanwhile Anne tries to do damage control and asks Abigail to reply to the reporters. She takes off with big Ben instead, to explain to Jordan. Anne is at a loss. Kate sweetly points out to the press who Clyde the ever so generous gentleman is ... Paige is pouting at the college lounge when her bff asks about her hot New Year's Eve with boyfriend JJ. Paige laments she lost him, he broke up with her. And that's not all, he cheated! The pal wants a name. Paige glances at the staircase, where Bev appears, and grumbles she's got a pretty good idea ... Bev stops by with a benevolent greeting and pictures of her Euro holiday. According to her, she was in Europe for a month and already misses the Italian and French hunks. She goes and the girls get back to their discussion. Paige's pal still thinks she needs to know for sure who the other woman was, if nothing else, to help her move on. Once alone, Paige remembers every romantic moment she and JJ shared. She could have sworn his love was true, so what went wrong ...? JJ's young mind woefully wanders back to the day he met the girl of his dreams, Paige. He stands up at the cafe, only to literally run into evil Eve, who demands a private meeting at her place, since Paige is presently absent. JJ recoils. No way, not at her place! Eve suggests the south side part of park in a few and if he cares a dang about her daughter, he had better be there ... Hope and Jen head to Horton house, conversing about a film based on a book - recommended by Kayla. Hope gets sullen when Jen announces her plan for the next book club meeting at her house. Hope mutters she would rather not attend if Kayla does. Jen senses something is amiss. Hope complains she is anti-Aiden and updates her on Bree's slander. Sympathetic Jen suspects her cousin sided with Aiden. Hope confirms it and blurts out she LOVES him! Jen blinks, then tells her how happy she is for her. Hope admits she will always love Bo but does not understand how he could choose his secret mission over his family ... At the park, Aiden places an angry call to Bree, blasting her for more gossip that got back to Hope. Bree insists there is something to worry about, cos Meredith claimed he hated her, then look what happened ... Eerie music plays as Aiden leers Bree has left him no choice. She should have heeded his warning ... Cocky Clyde comes to the house of Kiriakis to meet with Victor, who does not mince words. He advises him against trespassing on his territory. Clyde claims not to know what he means. The Greek growls that trucking belongs to him! Clyde smugly suggests new blood is needed in Salem trucking. The Greek glowers like he wants Clyde's blood. His two-bit trucking is not welcome here. Clyde claims the customers have been complaining so the time is ripe for some competition. The tycoon tells the country crook that should be the least of his worries and stares, mafia style. Clyde sarcastically states he is actually helping Victor out, since he doubts his fancy descendants want to get their manicured hands dirty, so ... Victor thunders not to try and tell him ... Clyde's temper gets the better of him and he rages no one can tell him what to do! He is now in Salem to stay so perhaps Victor should withdraw. He storms out, disrespectful and delusional in his black jacket ... Jordan confronts Ben, who tries to explain how it all happened. Abigail confirms that is how it was. Jordan is exasperated they were hoodwinked by Clyde, who naturally intended for the secret to come out. She refuses to work on the project funded by her dastardly stepdad. Chad suavely offers to step up as the donor. Jordan thinks that would not work, as Kate was already making noise ...Anne interruptus. They cannot keep the press waiting! Chad assures Jordan they will find a way to work it out and the gang get back to the paused press conference ... JJ grudgingly meets Eve at the park. She seeks his assurance he did not confess their affair to Jen. JJ gets sarcastic, insists he did not give Jen a name, and rages perhaps Paige deserves the truth and he should tell her! Eve snaps she would never forgive her. JJ snaps she deserves it. Eve argues he would only hurt Paige and swears him to secrecy again. But when he goes on his gruff way, she starts to have doubts. There is only one way to find out just how much Jen knows ... Aiden mutters to himself he will NOT let Bree ruin everything. He intends to do something about it ... Dangerous music plays ... The press conference proceeds as Abigail explains how the project will help the needy ... When the reporters have gone, Kate commends Abigail et al for a job well done. Jordan walks off. Chad blasts Ben for his betrayal of his sister, then questions Kate on her involvement. She plays innocent, but Chad knows better ... Jordan would like to quit this now tainted project but Abigail insists she cannot do this alone. Jordan remains upset with Ben's behavior and departs, destination unknown ... At the square, Aiden has just ended a call about needing things set in motion ... Chase approaches and asks when they can go down to the beach house. Aiden replies never, he has all but sold it. Chase flies at his father for getting rid of his mom's house in an attempt to make him forget her. Aiden denies the charge. Chase now bumps into Hope and blames her, accusing her of wanting to replace his mother. She never will! Hope is sorry for the distressed boy. Aiden patiently sits him down and they step away. He now explains what happened. Upon finding out there was no real reason to sell the house, she sweetly suggests he keep it a while for the waif. Aiden's reaction shocks her ... Juliet Paige sits alone at the student lounge as she remembers her whole history with JJ. Something does not add up for JJ does love her ... She stands up and finds herself face to face with her Romeo. He explains he merely came to cancel a class they planned to take together. Music and film. Her face falls. He believes it best they avoid one another. Paige will not let him leave until they talk. He had told her he loved her! Eve appears at Jen's door in her pink dress, pretending to want to share the deets of a fab film deal for Jack's book. Jen reminds her she does not benefit from any book-to-film deal and notes she knows that. So what gives? Eve slyly states she is baffled about the breakup of JJ and Paige and her daughter is in pain. She seeks to understand and wonders whether Jen can enlighten her. She is relieved to hear all Jen knows is JJ thought it best they break up but gave no reason. She righteously reminds Jen to respect his decision and be a responsible parent ... Jen gets irate. She points out Paige may have been the one who hurt JJ and not the other way around. Eve gets exasperated and shouts Jen does even know the kinds of things that boy does ....! Paige implores JJ to tell her the truth about the girl he cheated with and she is not leaving without it. She wants to know who and how ... Back at the square Aiden snarls at Hope to mind her own business. Hope soap stares ... Jordan bangs on Clyde's door. He opens and she rages at him for trying to manipulate her life and she knows why! Clyde viciously shoves her down on the bed, his hand clamped on her mouth,and leers it is time they got some things straight,him and Tammy Sue. Jordan struggles and whimpers ... THE END Ahead on Days: Jordan starts to remember. Eve wants to leave town with Paige. Mel and Brady KISS! |
