There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Chad and Abigail have slept on the Horton sofa snuggling together all night long. They stir as soon as Thomas wakes them up and he smiles this night was the best. She teases he has baby spit on his shirt. He gushes he loves her and their son and kisses her. They don't realize they are not alone. JJ is now standing behind the happy couple with Jen and rages WHAT THE HELL! ... At the hospital Victor praises Brady's faithful old friend Dr. Finn for saving his life and offers to do him any favor he needs. Finn would like an improved pediatrics unit. The Greek agrees and offers to write a check, fund-raising be damned. He wants that unit named after dearly departed Dr. Dan ... At the apartment, Chloe is relieved that Parker finally fell asleep. She sadly suggests she and Nicole start planning for Daniel's funeral. Meltdown Nicole is overcome with grief, screams no, and takes off ... At DiMera mansion, Stefano has fallen back and is not moving, blood oozing from all his close range bullet wounds. Hope gasps he will never harm her loved ones again. She falls to the floor and stares in stupor. Rafe bursts in with his gun drawn, takes it all in, and wonders what she has done. Hope woefully admits she shot him. Rafe checks for a pulse and makes an announcement that changes everything. STEFANO DIMERA IS DEAD! ... Chad has told his tale of hypnotic betrayal to JJ and Jen, insisting he loves Abigail and their son. He is a changed DiMera. JJ has harsh words for him but Jen is upset and not in the right frame of mind for his fury. She goes to shower. JJ stops. Chad asks Abigail to meet him at the square with their son soon for he has something he simply has to do. She agrees and he kisses her. JJ appeals to his sister to proceed with caution with that one. But she believes Chad does love her and her baby so things will be different this time ... Kayla is with John, Marlena, and Roman in Eric's room. She informs them that the Salem patient is responding with success to the treatment. John hugs relieved Marlena. Roman hugs her too. Marlena heads to the chapel to thank God for answering her prayers so far. She implores him to save her son. John is by her side in an instant and holds the worried woman he loves ... Dr. Kayla looks tired. Eric is now alone in his room. The Salem patient sleeps on. His dreams a replay of that fateful night when Nicole told him he had drunk too much so do not drive. He dreams of staggering into his automobile and losing sight of the road ahead, rock music blaring. Then came the crash that killed his best friend ... Nicole storms into sleeping Eric's room and rages at him for killing Dan. He feebly gasps he is sorry. She rages that is not enough, reminding him she urged him not to drunk drive but he knowingly made the decision. He was a priest, how could he! ... Jen sits beside Abigail in her bathrobe. Abigail is relieved she is alright. Jen is tired from staying at the hospital all night and informs her daughter that Daniel's heart saved Brady. She gets emotional about Eric and sighs she hopes he will be able to find some peace ... Nicole thinks it is unfair that Daniel is dead and Eric is alive and tells him so through her angry tears. Marlena enters and stops her, pulling her out of the room for a private word... Chad meets smiling Abigail at the square. She has brought Thomas in his baby carriage. Chad gushes Doug and Julie helped him out since he is the one DiMera they do not despise. He has a surprise in store ... Rafe probes Hope, who admits she confronted Stefano and he said horrible things about Bo. Then she saw white. Rafe decides to go rogue to save her. Hope refuses to let him break the law but Rafe will not back down. He plans to think like a DiMera. Hope is horrified ... At the hospital, Roman is concerned that sister Kayla has been working long hours. He senses she is still stressed over losing Bo and now Dan. She cries it does not feel real. He embraces his unhappy sister and tells her to take the time needed to deal with all the loss ... Rafe announces they must make the evidence disappear. He tosses a blanket over Stefano's body, which is not moving. Hope laments Andre will remember seeing her here. Rafe rewrites the story, stating Hope argued with Stefano and left. Then he disappeared the way the DiMera don has done in the past. No one will suspect a thing so long as they stick to their story ... Chad escorts the woman he loves into a romantic room at the Marton Bed and Breakfast now run by Doug and Julie. The decor is fit for a classic soap couple. The baby is soon asleep. Chad asks Abigail to slow dance as a love song plays loudly in the background. They kiss and he carries her to the big bed ... Phillip downs his drink at the club and comes over to Belle's table. She updates him on Marlena messaging her that Eric has improved. Phillip sits down and spills what is on his mind. He asks her to let him invest all that DiMera money she got from Sami, no strings attached. But Belle is no fool. She quips there are always strings attached where he is concerned. She speaks from experience ... Marlena urges Nicole to use her energy to help the ones Daniel left behind like Parker and Melanie. Nicole accuses her of spinning things for her son and screams he will have to live with the fact that he killed Dan. Marlena does not deny it ... Back in the patient's room he pretends to be asleep as returned Kayla updates John and Roman on him being alright. Roman tenderly tells his son to hang in there and then departs with solemn supportive John and Kayla. Alone again, Eric opens his eyes ... Phillip places his hand on Belle's and starts to shamelessly flirt. He tells her he has missed her and assumed she only wanted friendship from him. She sighs she is uncertain. Phillip looks deeply into her eyes. Diva Chloe sarcastically greets the pair and quips it feels like old times ... Shirtless Chad and Abigail bask in their afterglow. He wonders how things got so messed up. She sighs Ben seemed so supportive and nice but was not. He sighs it started when he came along. He promises not to ever follow in his father's footsteps again or do his DiMera bidding. She gushes together they can face anything and he grins what are they waiting for? Time to make their supercouple status official so MARRY ME ABIGAIL.BE MY WIFE ... Tormented Hope does not want to drag Rafe down with her. How did it come to this? Rafe reasons she was provoked. He tells her to think of her children who need her so Hope agrees. He tells her to trust him. She tells him let's do it. Rafe is now ready to make Stefano DiMera's body vanish forever without a trace. Hope agrees, though her eyes are haunted. It all seems so surreal. Murder always is ... THE END!
