In the OR Dr. Dan and Dr. Kayla scramble to save Sonny ... News has not reached everyone in Salem, yet, however. Abigail and boyfriend Ben have a bite at the town square. Chad approaches and informs Ben he has found him a lawyer to keep him out of jail. Ben becomes belligerent about Chad wanting to really just score with Jordan and steps away when he spies Marlena. Chad sits with Abigail and urges her to convince Ben to let him help ...Ben wonders whether Dr. Marlena has heard from Clyde. Pause. Matter of fact, he missed an appointment and has not returned her call. Ben is even more bewildered ... Nicole comes into the lounge and asks Mel about the stabbing victim. She seeks confirmation it was Sonny. Mel flies at her for doing her boss' bidding and kicks her out. Then she breaks down ... Near the nurse's station, Lucas wants woeful Adrienne to know she is not alone ... Will embraces Victor at the chapel and sobs he loves Sonny so much! The Greek stops him from saying the worst case scenario. Worried Will notes this is like EJ. Victor stops him again. Sonny is a Keeeeeriakeeeees and he will survive ... Strong athlete Paul has more blood to give and he makes Maxine take it ... Nicole is not going to do a story about Sonny as ordered and hugs Mel, who cries on her shoulder ... Will pulls himself together and pouts he will go see if there is anything new ... Victor the Greek opts to stay and warns God of the consequences should Sonny not survive. His man Damon slips into the chapel, having sneaked in via the service elevator without being spotted. Victor snaps to find out who did this to Sonny and KILL him! Damon doesn't bat an eye ... Will returns to Lucas and Adrienne outside the OR and wonders what Sonny was even doing around the square. He was supposed to be at work ... Nearby Brady confides to Maggie that junkie who did this could have been him had he not regained control. He is grateful for being sober and also for his sweet sponsor ... Mel regains her composure and apologizes for the tears on Nicole's jacket. Nicole cracks jokes and is pleased to hear Dan's very good hands are in the OR with Sonny. Brady returns to Mel and admits he is worried about his grandfather. He is going thru hell right now ... Victor instructs Damon what to look for at the pawn shops and laments about the now lost engraved watch he gave Sonny for Christmas, when life was good. If only he had gotten Clyde before his drug trade terror came to this ... Will blames himself for not being around. Adrienne wants him to stop. Marlena races in, having just heard the news from Abe, and throws her arms around him. John is on a mysterious assignment in Chicago ... Paul falls into a deep slumber, having given more blood ... Dr. Dan discovers the spleen laceration causing the blood loss and works fast The nurse panics the patient is not responding. The pressure is on! At least there is an ample supply of blood for Sonny now ... Victor goes back to Maggie in the lounge. Brady has been hugging Mel. Outside Chad has arrived. Maggie wonders whether Victor told off God. He mutters under his breath. The Greek growls about Nicole's unwanted presence ... Paul dreams of Sonny's old proposal but in this dream he says YES. His eyes fly open and he woefully wishes he had accepted when he had the chance ... Dan and Kayla are done and decide the time has come to update loved ones ... Chad shows his support for Will with a hug. As far as he is concerned, Will and Sonny are still his bffs! Nearby Adrienne appreciates that Ben came with Abigail. Ben calls Sonny a great man, one who gave him a chance when he was down and he will forever be in his debt ... Dr. Kayla is at the nurse's station. Will would like an update ... Dr. Dan is in the lounge. Victor, Maggie, Brady and Mel wait with bated breath ...Kayla explains Sonny will be just fine. The gang jump for joy and Will hugs her ... Dan assures Victor et al that Sonny the fighter will be fine. Victor emotionally hugs his godson and then offers him his own personal Greek island ... Nearby Nicole listens with a soft smile ... Kayla has high praise for the unnamed person who stepped up and helped save Sonny by giving blood ... Sonny is being set up in a room by nurse Maxine. Adrienne insists Will go first. Marlena is touched. Adrienne assures her they are all family now ... Mel gushes her dad is a hero. Victor now asks Brady to drive Maggie home. He will stay. The redhead refuses ... Lucas asks Adrienne about Justin. She sighs still no word, which is highly irregular ... Dan turns down the Greek island and has high praise for Maggie for stopping the bleeding when Sonny was first found. Marlena tells smiling Will that Eric called and sends his love and prayers. Lucas hands Will the phone. Sami calling! Unseen unheard Sami apparently offers to come home with the kids while Will suggests she stay put. Will wins. Paul is dressed and good to go. He runs into Chad, who laments he almost lost his business partner, who got stabbed. Paul is sorry for Kate but Sonny states it was not Kate, it was WILL! Sonny blanches. Chad notices ... Brady is home with Mel and they snuggle on the sofa. She gets emotional about almost losing Sonny, how fragile is life. They kiss and Mel lets Brady know every moment should be precious. She wants him now. Brady wants her too but they cannot really go to his place or do this here. Mel would be happy for a hotel room ... Back at the hospital, Abigail and Ben are happy about Sonny surviving. Victor pleasantly offers Ben a job at his new club. Ben accepts. The Greek grins to call in the morning. Nicole appears and assures Victor she has no intention of publishing any article about what happened to Sonny ... Maxine announces Will may now see Sonny ...Paul excuses himself to Chad and anxiously goes to see Sonny ... Unseen unheard Justin finally calls Adrienne. Lucas frets ...Before leaving, Chad asks Marlena to let Will know he will be back soon. She notes he is a good friend. Chad insists he is bffs with Wilson and would do anything for them. Marlena notes Stefano changes all that is good in his children and hopes that will not happen to Chad. She steps away, leaving him alone to consider ... Shirtless Brady and Mel make sweet passionate love in their hotel room as a whispery woman's voice sings about love and passion ... Dan heads home to sleep. Nicole catches up with him at the square and praises him for saving Sonny. He takes it all in stride. Alas she cannot convince him to give her another chance for Eric was and is an issue. He departs with his coffee and Nicole gets an idea ... Will sits at sleeping Sonny's bedside and emotionally informs him he and Arianna would be utterly lost without him. He gets choked up ... Abraham asks Victor what Sonny had said, where he was headed when they saw each other before the attack. Victor was aware he was agitated with him about business and he was in a hurry to go somewhere. Where? Victor knows not ... At the pub, Ben laments to Abigail that all contact has been lost with papa Clyde. He points out he even missed an appointment with Marlena and has gone silent. Abigail agrees it is very strange ... Adrienne ends the call with Justin and updates Lucas. Justin is coming home. Lucas questions whether that is a good thing ... Adrienne is distracted by Kayla, whom she wants to thank for saving Sonny. Kayla claims they all need to thank the anonymous blood donor ... Will weeps,his hand on Sonny's, and promises never to take him for granted again. Nothing will come between them .. Outside Paul pauses and then starts to turn the door handle, anxious to see the man he still loves ...! THE END |
