Length: 1,723 descriptive words Wednesday, February 3, 2016 Episode 12,774 Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the almost AA meeting Lucas gets coffee. Eric sees Jen popping pills and soap stares ... At the club Chad meets with Adrienne and Justin. He explains he wants to sell his part of the club and Sonny has first dibs. Justin does not get it. Chad explains he wants to own the DiMera mansion instead. Adrienne warns Chad against his idea of buying the DiMera mansion back from the taxman ... Theo is at Horton house with Abigail and the baby. He is shocked to hear that grandfather Stefano has left for Europe likely forever. The young man takes it hard, upset he got no goodbye. He now finds out Chad and Abigail are buying the house and moving in. Abigail tells him he will still be welcome there. JJ appears and questions his sister's sanity ... Chase is sitting all alone in the dark when Hope, Ciara and Rafe find him. Hope hugs him and lectures him for worrying them. Rafe reminds him of the dangerous case surrounding Hope. Ciara agrees and Rafe warns there are those who would want to harm Hope and anyone close to her ... At DiMera mansion, Andre caresses the gun and sighs sooo Hope used her late husband's gun to kill his fatha. She shall pay dearly says the man with the gauze on his scar. He gingerly places the gun in his glossy phoenix box. Henderson enters with word that two treasury agents have served an eviction notice. Andre laughs. The butler notes they need to pay the back taxes by Friday or all is lost. Alone again, Andre rages at fatha for letting it happen even though he is not there. His bloodthirsty thoughts then turn to avenging his murder as he holds a framed photograph ... Hope and Rafe let the kids know there are guards around the house watching so no sneaking out now. Chase deduces they know his dirty secret. Hope does not get it. Chase laments he does not either. Hope could not imagine Chase would send such cruel texts. Chase wants to pack, believing he is not wanted ... At the AA meeting Jenny stands at the door like a zombie. Lucas is at the front and introduces Eric at the back but Eric gasps he cannot and bolts. Jen is unable to stop him ... Abigail graciously sees her guest to the door. Then she gets back to her brother. JJ is aghast about her going to that house of horrors with Thomas. So much for Chad cutting his DiMera ties! Abigail explains Stefano has fled the country and Chad is kicking Andre out. JJ likens him to the son of a godfather making a power play. He feels she knows not what she is in for. Abi folds her arms and warns him to change the attitude or he will not be welcomed by her new happy little family ... Justin urges Adrienne to speak her mind. She talks nightmares about being at the DiMera mansion. Chad assures her if Abigail is against it he will change his mind too. Adrienne now agrees to check with Sonny about the buyout. Chad meanwhile gets an unnoticed message from Andre, who summons him to the mansion. He has been ignoring him and Andre is NOT amused ... Hope reassures Chase he is part of their family. Ciara pouts. Hope apologizes for not being there for him. In this family they make their wrongs right so he must tell Theo he is sorry and that will be a start. She asks Rafe to help unload the car, leaving the teens alone to talk. Chase wonders whether Ciara too will forgive him. Perhaps one day but first she demands he tell her WHY he was so cruel to kind Theo ... Jen follows Eric to the square, insisting he cannot fight his addiction alone. Lucas stands by her and agrees. Eric snaps at them for thinking they know him better than he knows himself, his eyes flashing with fury and frustration. Lucas tries to change his mind. He knows, he has been there, so do not act arrogant about not needing help. Eric laments he might not be ready. Lucas suggests he stick with the idea and at least try another meeting somewhere in town. Then he departs. Jen reasons Eric must not ignore the idea and he suddenly snaps at her hypocrisy ... JJ feels Abigail is rushing things, not thinking clearly. She insists her fiance is cutting DiMera ties. JJ quips by moving into the DiMera mansion? He reminds her of his past, the fact that DiMeras always lie about their new beginnings. Abi would rather forget this conversation. Jump Street JJ the cop in training refuses to forget and concludes the DiMeras are a curse, Then he leaves. Abigail is shaken up ... Chad is by the park when he hears Andre's anxious message and muses he is right they must talk ... Chase calls his prank stupid. He did not want to lose his friend to Theo. Ciara replies she and Theo have been friends since childhood and always will be. She cannot believe he mocked him for his autism. Why? Chase recounts how she ignored him and he stupidly did not want to lose her. He knows not how she will forgive him for being a fool and cries he is no better than his father. Ciara softens somewhat ... Eric angrily informs Jen he perceived her popping pills. She snaps she has back pain requiring medication and blames him for causing the accident. She then catches herself and apologizes. He is sincerely sorry. She urges him to remember the good man he is and try. She gets by - by taking one day at a time. Eric woefully watches her slowly walking away, a shadow of her former self ... Ciara insists Chase come to the square to Theo to apologize and be accountable for what he did. It is a start. Hope calls the guards to follow the teens ... Meanwhile at DiMera mansion, Andre looks at the man in the mirror. He winces and removes the gauze, revealing the unsightly now stitched gash on his handsome face. He gets a call and orders his flunky to keep watching. Then he laughs like a madman about his dance of death and moves like an ancient Egyptian dancing around a cobra ... Chad later arrives at DiMera mansion, but there is no sign of Andre - only the gauze he left behind. He questions Henderson about it. The British butler confirms the master has wounds and left no word on where he was going. Chad now hears there has been no word from Stefano either. Not for a looong time ... Back at the house, Rafe proceeds to give Hope a pep talk as she worries about Andre's next deadly move. He assures her they can defeat that DiMera as she defeated Stefano. She sighs she broke the law. Rafe refuses to listen to anything against her and tenderly tells her she is not to blame, Stefano drove her to extremes. He gently adds he is here for her, they are in it together. Then he gets closer, gazing into her eyes. Hope thanks him for his unwavering support and sighs about failing the kids. She should have been aware of Chase's issues. Rafe insists she is not at fault for anything and teases he needs to get her some food for he has noticed she gets grumpy when hungry. The mood becomes light as he goes to the kitchen to fry their fish. He asks her to get the wine ready and she flounces after him with a smile ... Eric is a man on the edge. He pauses at the club door, then decides to drown his sorrows. He sits and orders a whisky straight up. JJ seems to have seen him from the shadows ... Chad joins fiancee Abigail at Horton house, smiling about the steps he has taken to acquire the DiMera mansion. However, he senses his sweetheart's hesitation. She admits she is uncertain but he promises to kick Andre out even though he does not seem to be around. He also reminds her she will have carte blanche to redecorate the entire place. If she would rather not, he is right there with her and will happily settle for another home ... At the square, Chase confesses to Theo that he was his cyber bully. Theo is shocked and shouts why? Chase claims he was just jealous of his friendship with Ciara and was a jerk. Theo blasts him for being so mean about his condition. Abe was absolutely right cos he was just trying to hide the fact that HE is a loser. Chase glumly sits as Ciara updates her friend on the fact that she only found out today. They hug and she suggests they get something to eat. Theo smiles he would rather he alone and gets going ... Hope admittedly enjoyed the fish as prepared by Chef Rafe. He suggests she needs a guard and seems ready to offer to do the job but she accidentally spills wine on his shirt. She stammers sorry, dabs at his chest, and offers to wash it. Rafe feels the heat and suddenly states he should get going. Call if she needs anything... Abigail decides she likes the idea of being lady of DiMera mansion if Chad is the only DiMera in it. He agrees and they are ready to celebrate. He gets down on a knee and slips a beautiful engagement ring on her finger to make their engagement official. Abigail gasps it is gorgeous, perfect, says yes again, and they kiss in bliss ... Eric opts not to have that drink after all and walks away ... Jen pauses outside Horton house with her trusty bottle of pills. She cannot be without them ... Hope settles on the sofa alone, assuming she is safe. But madman Andre is lurking outside in the darkness, ready to begin his dastardly dance of death! THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Steve is all about saving Kayla. Phillip faces big trouble from Deimos. JJ plays the hero ... |
