There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the park, Eve and Claire have big plans for the Big Apple, including her audition and a show. They hug and Eve sends her home to prepare. She will take care of the tickets. Belle emerges and coldly lets Eve know she is NOT Claire's surrogate mother sooo ... An intruder bursts into Ed's room with a gun. He starts searching for something until Ed clocks him on the head. Then he ties him up on the floor and gets his gun on him. He knows it is Vadim from the agency. Knock knock! Tis Kate calling. Ed throws a bathrobe on and opens the door about an inch. Kate senses it is a bad time. She was going to invite him for a drink. Ed explains he needs to clean up but can come to the club in 20 minutes. He acts elated to see her. Kate is satisfied and steps away to wait for him at said club ... Nicole and Theresa talk over their new venture as Brady is assumed to be sleeping. Theresa worries it is too soon to give Brady the stress of supporting a new company. Nicole gets it and sighs she would die if anything happened to Daniel's heart inside him. Brady is standing around the corner and gets a strange look in his eye, having overhead every single word ... Steve is passionately kissing Ava to get what he wants. He murmurs to let Kayla go so they can work together to find her son. Ava stops and snaps she does not believe he wants her. Meanwhile in her confined room hostage Kayla spies a vent. She uses the remaining charm on her bracelet to unscrew it and takes the vent off, crying for help. He voice echoes. Alas there is no answer as she is isolated ... Roman sighs at the police station and closes the file that has him feeling so down. Shawn arrives and lets him know how sorry he is about what happened to Eric. Roman appreciates it and adds he missed him cos he made bond. Shawn explains he came not to see Eric but to speak to him about a job since he has decided to stay in Salem ... Eve patiently points out Claire needs to prepare. Belle impatiently points out she already has a mother. She feels she would be better off with another voice coach and gets annoyed when Eve tells her she is too tone deaf to help such talent. When she boasts of their rapport, Belle notes her daughter is not Paige though she is sorry for her loss ... Evil Ava ups the ante as Steve attempts to hide the hate he feels for the wicked woman who abducted the woman he loves. She leers she will let him know where his precious wife is if he MAKES LOVE TO HER RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW ... Eve counters she is not to blame for Claire feeling neglected. Belle hisses how dare you! Eve insists that was the word Claire used to describe how she felt when mom went off to Vegas for her fling with Phillip. Belle is furious. She blasts her as an unfit woman who has no business being near a tender teen given what she did to her own daughter. Eve starts to cry about her regrets and runs off. Claire was watching from the distance ... Steve plays it cool and tells Ava baby not here cos Joe could come home any minute. He tries to convince her to share where she is keeping Kayla. The temptress taunts it will only take a few minutes and then she will tell him where Kayla is. Then he has to help find her son or she will expose their togetherness to Kayla. She gets close and Steve starts to give her what she wants. They end up kissing wildly on the sofa. All of a sudden Joey walks in and gasps OH MY GOD. He is disgusted. Steve jumps up to explain. Ava cackles like the cat that just caught the canary. Joey takes off ... Roman returns to Shawn with good news. He has been hired, approved by the CSI based on his credentials not contacts. Shawn is grateful. Roman grins he hopes him staying in Salem is a sign that things are better with Belle ... Claire wonders what was going on. Belle explains she wants a better voice teacher than Eve for her talent. Claire refuses and gets cross cos she likes Eve. Belle states both she and Shawn think Eve is too personally involved with her. Claire smiles with hope and wonders whether her folks are finally back on track. Belle gets tongue-tied ... Ed holds his gun against assassin Vadim's head and taunts the teacher. Vadim gasps they are going to kill him as he failed twice - first with John then him so might as well finish him off. Ed has a better idea. He orders violent Vadim to vanish forever and never come near his or John Black's family ever again or he will kill him. Vadim agrees. As a precaution Ed takes his picture so now everyone will know what he looks like. Once the assassin is gone, he places his gun in a box under his bed and texts John that the threat has been neutralized for now. He then throws on his black leather jacket. Kate awaits at the club ... Belle babbles she and Shawn are only talking. Claire accuses her of not really trying. She replies she does not want to rush so Claire reminds her she rushed with Phillip and storms off, unable to stand the sight of her. She heads off to find Eve ... Brady asks the ladies to let him know what their meeting was really about. Nicole admits they intend to buy out Kate. Brady believed that was their dream. Theresa tells him they are hoping to start their own new company minus Kate the queen of negativity. Nicole suggests DJWear as the name. Theresa thinks that sounds retro but Brady understands. Daniel Jonas Wear. He smiles perfect. Nicole smiles too ... Ava taunts Steve about what his son saw so he grabs her and starts to choke the life out of her scrawny neck. Her eyes bulge out in horror ... Brady believes it is the best news that the two gals are going to be working together without Kate dragging them down. Nicole suddenly asks whether he wants in as a partner. Brady accepts without hesitation, then adds he would like part of the proceeds to go to Daniel's favorite charity. Nicole gushes in agreement. Theresa cringes with worry ... Steve rages at Ava to reveal where Kayla is. She gasps if she dies then Kayla dies too. He lets go ... Nicole and Theresa summon Kate to the town home Brady and Theresa now share. They offer to buy her out. Kate assumes they are low balling, then glances at the amount and greedily agrees. She does not bother to wonder what they would be doing. She will have the cash within 24 hours ... At the square Ed runs into upset Eve. They sit together at the plaque of Tom and Alice Horton as she unburdens her problems with Claire's controlling mother. Ed gives her a pep talk about Paige, who would want her to keep helping kids. Eve thanks him, sniffles, and sits with him as he places his arm around her. Then she puts her head on his shoulder ... Meanwhile Shawn sits on a park bench with Belle, who complains about Claire liking her meddling voice coach more than her mother. Shawn feels the program will not last long as Eve has many who are against her in Salem. He adds Claire needs her mom and gently consoles Belle it is those we need the most that we tend to be the toughest with. Belle appreciates it and stands to go but she SOAP STUMBLES. Shawn catches her and gets closer for a kiss. She whispers she is not ready despite the longing in her eyes and thanks him for making her feel better. Shawn sighs he will see her later. Once he steps away Belle gets a call from Phillip and impulsively agrees to a drink ... Claire meets Eve at the town square cafe and informs her she has every intention of attending the Julliard audition even if her mother does not approve ... Ed casually joins Kate at the club. She has two glasses and he wonders what they are celebrating. Kate coos to being her own boss again. They raise their glasses. Meanwhile Theresa and Nicole toast to better days ahead. But Brady is California dreaming again. This time a slender woman's back is to him at the beach where she sits, her long brown hair cascading gently over her white clothing ... Ava angrily gives Steve her new and final offer. He comes to Indonesia with her to find her son. As soon as they are there Joey will be given Kayla's location. Deal or no deal? Back in the serpent room, claustrophobic Kayla has had an intense panic attack and passes out. Time is running out! THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Chad gets a deal with Justin and Adrienne. Chase and Ciara have it out. Hope leans on Rafe. Eric plays tough love right back at Jen! |
